Now this was really bad. The drawing is off most of the time, and logic doesn’t exist anymore. Of course, have them jump ahead 150 years of development. Not even building those houses could have been achieved in the two years the Enterprise was gone. And how on earth should a complete cultural database fit on the communicator? Back in TOS there wasn’t even a universal translator built into it. It had to be rebuilt for simple changes in wave length. And now that? Complete bullshit and it feels very disrespectful to canon.
