This is one of the most beautiful books ever! No, it isn't a brilliant literature contribute but it felt so good to turn back in time through these pages and be a little kid again. The illustrations are amazing, perfect really. I highly recommend to everyone.

I think because this movie is so deep in my memory when I was a kid that the the voices, sounds and music played into when I was reading this. The writing is very thin but it's great to see the studio sketches, concept art and paintings from the movie in this. And I'm feeling like watching the movie again.

Lion King is my favorite movie of all time. I know that story backwards and forward. So I was elated when I got this beautiful picture book of this story as a birthday gift this year. It’s the story of the lion king and a condensed setting and obviously without the music but they used the beautiful concept art and finished animation throughout the story which I why I loved this so much.

Reading The Lion King felt like stepping back into my childhood. Even though I already knew the story, experiencing it again through this beautiful novel edition was incredibly special. It brought back so many memories and reminded me why I loved this story when I was younger.

What I enjoyed most was rediscovering Simba's journey, from a carefree cub to a brave and responsible king. The themes of family, courage, loss, and self-discovery are timeless and still feel meaningful no matter your age. The story made me smile, feel emotional, and reconnect with the sense of wonder I had as a child.

This book gave me the chance to relive a beloved classic while seeing it from a slightly different perspective. It was a nostalgic, heartwarming experience that reminded me that some stories never lose their magic. This edition has a gorgeous leather cover. concept art for original film boards from 1994. pages are also sprayed with various designs. overall this book has a gorgeous astastheic! Script writing quality is a tad poor. writing has a choppy flow to it.

Great small audio book

Esta edición tan preciosa de la historia de "El Rey León" pertenece a la colección "Tesoros de la animación" que está publicando Editorial Planeta en su sello infantil y que incluye la historia del clásico disney acompañada de ilustraciones y bocetos originales. Se podría decir que son ediciones de coleccionista 🥰


La edición es preciosa. Han cuidado mucho cada detalle en la portada, con grabados en relieve de los diferentes personajes y motivos relacionados con la historia, y con ese reflejo a la luz que los hacen brillar. Además, la elección de los colores no ha podido ser más acertada.


El interior también es una preciosidad y está muy cuidado. En la contraportada encontramos un dibujo a tamaño completo y a color del paisaje de la Sabana, y en el resto de páginas, la combinación entre el texto y los dibujos (que por cierto están muy bien compensados).


Las ilustraciones son una pasada, y los bocetos aún más.Os dejo una muestra:


En cuanto al texto, esperaba que la historia estuviera reducida o fueran solos unas pinceladas, no sé el porqué. Pero grata sorpresa la que me he llevado al descubrir que está completa, con todos los diálogos de la película. Y no os voy a decir mucho más de la historia, porque seguro que todos ya la conoceréis 🦁


Incluye también un prólogo de Lisa Treiman, supervisora de arte de Walt Disney Animation Studios, que me ha parecido emotivo, y donde nos cuenta qué le llevó a formar parte del proyecto de "El Rey León".

Y al final, como a modo de epílogo, hay un pequeño extracto con información interesante sobre la creación de esta obra 👍🏻  


Es un libro que he disfrutado muchísimo, sobretodo visualmente ¡Es una gozada! Lo recomiendo tanto para los más peques como para los que no lo somos tanto.

I picked up this book as it reminded me of a series of hardback books I had as a child, all based off of Disney animated films. This is exactly the same, except all the art is concept art from the film.

The story itself is a simplified version of the animated film's plot, with nothing new added or any details expanded upon. There is some information in the back about some of the animators and artists that were involved in the making of the film.

I think a child would love this book as a bedtime story and any fan of would love to see this on their bookshelves.

This was a very quick read. I am really loving these animated Classics.

I really love seeing all the art. From the rough sketch, to concept, and paintings. It was great!

This is my sister's favorite Disney movie, has been since she was little. I will probably give this to her.

I definitely plan on continuing with these. They are so much fun.
