Can two different men from different backgrounds...

The Sons of Destruction is a motorcycle club that has a secret. The club is more than seventy years years old, but their ancestors are over two-hundred. Blessed by a Magic Man in Europe, the group of six shifted from man to wolf. In exchange for the gifts of long life and a true mate, they had to promise to not be a burden and help those in need. Moving from Europe to America to start a new life, the men had families to carry on the secret. Axle Davis is one of those men. He almost has it all. He's the president of the Crystal Cave, Georgia chapter and the alpha. All he's missing is his true mate. Starting the Helpline for anyone who needs a guiding hand is a way to fulfill the promise of charity. With the help from the members of the SOD, the men of the club help any LGBTQ+ who wish for a safer life.

...find love?

Harley King can't believe the terrible mess he's in. He's hunting for the “rescue group” that will help him, but finding the right place is proving difficult. That the first thing I'm going to tell them they need to change. If I can actually find them. He's had a terrible life. Mom died, dad had a drug habit and forced Harley to scam people for a living. At the age of fifteen, his dad traded Harley to a drug lord for his dad's small drug debt. All his life, he’s lived with the curse of an exceptional memory and knack for quick learning. Always proving to be invaluable to others, until he’s not needed anymore. He knows all the secrets and can control who finds out what they are.

And stop the bad guy while following the path...

Finding the Helpline and getting the help he needs, Harley starts to feel safe for the first time in his life. In particular, a tall and gorgeous brown headed man with two different colored eyes. Harley also finds out the world he thought he lived in doesn't exist. It's better! Axle and his pack take Harley in and make him one of their own. He has a family that he never knew he could ever have but always hoped for. In the course of stopping the bad guy, Axle and Harley find each other. Their missing half.

...That was set into motion years ago?

Approximately 65,000 words. The first of a series of The Sons of Destruction Motorcycle Club. Can either be read as a stand alone but will be better to read in order. This book contains dirty words, sexy times and violence. Is intended for readers over 18. Does end with a Happily Ever After and then some. Happy Reading!

There were some good things, but very disjointed. It's like the author put a bunch of tropes in a bag and picked out too many to use i this story. There speeds some serious editing issues too. The characters were my fave part of the story. They interested me enough to read the next story.

Ugh. I really wanted to love this book. The plot was very unique and the paranormal element along with the MM had me diving right in but sadly it didn’t live up to why I had hoped. These alpha men were.... girly. That’s the best way to describe it. At the start I thought they would be all gruff and alpha but then the club prez, who is also an alpha “giggled” I mean come on! After that I just couldn’t picture all these hot guys as big bad alpha types. They sadly didn’t come off that way and when they did, it seemed forced.

I liked the story well enough because the plot had me hooked but from how the characters acted, the fact that chapters would say “Axle said” when we were in Axle’s POV...... No. It just switched to Harley’s POV half way through the chapter with no indication, then back to Axle, then Harley again. It was very confusing. I really hate giving under 3 stars but I just can’t rate it higher then 2 stars. The book could greatly benefit from a proofreader. This was my first book by this author but sadly Axle just didn’t live up to what I was hoping from the start. #2OCCJD

So I was given these to review and was told this was a new author and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. I’m giving it between a 4-4.5, and the reasons for that are because even though the story was pretty well written, it had a lot of grammatical errors. Even rereading a different copy, I caught some more. However, in spite of that, the book overall had a good plot and I like the way it’s moving. It’s got good characters and a storyline that has a chance to go far. So, I’m actually anxious to see how it turns out.
Harley was desperate for help and a new life. He heard of a way to break free and find help out of the hell he was in, so he took it. And found a safe haven in a motorcycle club of all things. Especially considering most MCs have a bad rep. But this club is much different as Harley soon finds out. In many, many ways. The biggest is that they help those in need. And Harley is in need. He finds comfort in one of the men, Hawk. But when they get back to the home, he finds what he thinks is the man he wants for the rest of his life. But first they have to get through what Harley knows and who he knows and why he’s on the run. And when the club finds out, they find out it’s someone they’ve wanted to bring down for a long, long time. They also find out they have betrayals that are hitting very close to home. People they thought were friends and coworkers, were actually the enemy. And the secrets just keep coming. But Harley has finally found a place to call home, a place where he belongs. Now they just have to stop the bad guys, before the bad guys stop them.
For Harley, I’d hate having to live the life he lived as well. Knowing your own father sold you out for drugs and stuff leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Finding out the person he sold you to is an evil man, doesn’t make it any better. Especially with the crap his captor does in his presence and to him. With his special memory skills, he’s the perfect target for too many people to want to use. And not in a good way. So, I don’t blame him for running. But the hard part is not knowing what you are running to. Going from one bad situation to a situation you know nothing about or people you don’t know, it’s stressful. It doesn’t help that it feels humiliating. But when he finds a home that he’s never had, since he was like 3, he finally feels at peace. Especially when he feels like he has a purpose and can give back. And knowing he has someone who wants him for who he is and not what he can do, is an added bonus.
It’s a good story. Lot of good bones to it. Just maybe a bit more fine tuning, but it’s the start of a good series. For a first time author, I have to say, good job.

I really enjoyed reading this interesting, intriguing, fresh, original, sexy, and delightfully different twist on the traditional shifter trope. On the surface, Harley and Axle don't seem to have much in common at first, but once they get together, their chemistry almost set my ereader on fire! There were a few glitches, but not enough to pull me out of the story. I can't wait to see what happens next.

4* for great story, new to me author. Unfortunately as a lot of reviews have stated this is sorely lacking in editing skills. Even a read through would show glaring spelling mistakes, totally incorrect words used, and even something so simple as using too instead of to. This first book continually throws you from the book with you trying to work out what was being said. I persevered and enjoyed it overall.

DNF got as far as Chapter 9 and I didn't know what I was reading. It was an epic debacle. I wasn't sure if it was a MC, Shifter or what kind of bk. It was a hodge podge of random bits. They were a MC that were a secret group that worked for the President that ran a helpline to protect those who needed help. But they were shifters only they couldn't say they were shifters only those who needed to know knew, but then people knew but no they didn't know. In the end I didn't know so I gave it up for lost at chapter 9.

An okay read but not very good writing. Kudos to Noelle for publishing your first book. I hope the others in the series read better. I hope more effort is put into editing the stories to make sentence transitions, clear definition for who is speaking, unnecessary words, etc. This story concept was good but the writing was at times, very "cringe-worthy cheesy." To get past some of these parts, I just skipped pages.

Not a bad first try. Future updates and editing of this book should be planned and hopefully the others in the series were treated to better editing.

Creative story-line, and wonderful characters create a really good read. I enjoyed the idea and different take on shifters and their myths. I enjoyed the idea of the MC and their openness and sharing of their steamy moments. They don't share mates, however they do have some fun ideas.

I really liked Axle and Harley together and how connected they were. They were definitely steamy and fun. The story-line was engaging and i am glad that this is part of a new series. We have met some really interesting supporting characters in this book and i am looking for them to all find their mates and love, with a good bit of adventure on the side. This group is really set-up to have some really interesting strategy and good guys vs. bad guys stories.

This is book one of the Sons of Destruction series and i am ready for book two. Hawke may have found his mate and i am ready for that journey. I think this will be a series where you really will need to read in order, because so much history and the developing relationships are forged in this first book.

I was gifted this book from the LesCourt Author Services and i freely give my honest opinion and review.

It could be good

I liked the story and thought that the premise was interesting. My problem is that it needs one more quick run through for an edit. There are lots of missing words and a few typos. The errors pulled me out of the story.

Harley is a great character and the rest of the guys are fun to read about. I like that we get Harley, Axle, and even some of Hawk's POV in this book. I think some of the transitions need to be better defined, but it is nice getting more than one character telling the story.

I still want to read the next book for this series since I'm interested in the characters. Hopefully the author does a quick edit and updates the file. I really do like the story and would like others to see the best version of it. There is a lot of potential with this author.

I love the idea of this book and series by this debut author. I was disappointed by some of the obvious editing mistakes which could have been fixed, but this in no way detracts from the storyline if you can ignore them.

The basis of the storyline is great, a small band of men are given the gift of shifting by a magic man, give back by setting up an LGBT helpline, a sort of underground railway to safety among other things. After one such pick up the alpha Axle meet his mate in a very scared Harley. I am not going to rehash the blurb.
These two characters compliment each other and have a great dynamic as they learn about each other and Harley learns all about the world he so naturally fits into. So will work well as a team going forward.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

What an interesting read!

This is a new author and their first book so my rating is more on the story's concept and consistency because it does have some editing issues. Most first time books do. I find those smooth out over time but good story telling needs to be there. This author nailed that. Her take on shifters is unique. The characters are funny with big hearts and a little over the top but that'll work itself out as the series goes. The connections were solid and the broad overall picture of the Sons of Destruction club were well thought out. The author laid a great foundation to build on. I am excited for more and to see the author grow stronger as the series progresses. Definitely an author to keep your eye on.

Sons of Destruction - Axle by Noelle Smith is the first book in this series about the SOD Motorcycle Club. This book is packed with sexy bikers who shift into animals, a sence of danger and violence, the boss of "family" and a whole lot of love and sexytimes.
I love the storyline and canr wait for more books in series. The world created here is interesting and these characters have made me care about them. Axle and Harley are hot together and I love their connection
Hawke is a sweetie and the other characters were intriguing as well. It was great having more than one POV to the story. I really loved this book and cant wait for more.

I really struggled with this book. The writing was a bit too choppy for me, and it definitely needed further editing. I found myself getting thrown out of the story by the disconnected feeling I got from some of the writing. It felt like there were a ton of angles trying to fit into one small square.

I did like (for the most part) the characters. Axle was a great Alpha, even if he did seem distracted with Harley. The MC was full of nice and great guys that I could grow a connection with. I think the story had a lot of promise, and with more editing in future books, I would be interested in seeing what comes down the pike for these characters and the other members.

Omg!!
I loved this book. It was so good.
It had all the things u want in an MC novel. But it's an MC novel with a difference.
The story is great an easy to follow. The characters r relatable.

Axle is an Alpha male broody and hot. The club is in this blood, his father was president before him.

Harley is in need of love and family, hes had a tough life, but in spite of all that he soon wins then all over with his bubbly nature.

This is a fantastic debute book for Noelle Smith. I can't wait for book 2

The characters were intriguing, funny and entertaining. The guys were a good bunch and made me laugh.

The first half of the book was confusing: sometimes I completely lost track as to who was talking. This evidently, led to be re-reading the section again to get a clearer picture. This happened a lot to the point, I actually got frustrated.

The book needs a thorough editing, I found so many errors.

Different, fast paced and interesting story

This was not your typical shifter story.

It was fast and with a bit of action (nothing overwhelming) and an amazing cast of side characters I can't wait to read more of (especially Hawk).

Axle and Harley were quite great character. Axle is your gruff and tough alpha, and Harley is sweet, so so funny, loving and full of joy despite the circumstances. These two are very hot together and the love between them was amazing

Awesome first story for a first time writer!

Thank you Noelle convicting us with your story, for Harley's beautiful story from the bad to the good.
You brought in wonderful characters and I love and enjoy the snark. The snark makes the book, at least in my opinion.
Can't wait to read about Hawk!

DNF. The story was choppy from the beginning and I found myself to be confused by what was happening. I think this was a case of too many ideas in 1 story. This story could also use another round of edits.

Not bad.

This book was not bad. I liked the overall storyline. This is a bit of a different take on the fated mates trope. I will definitely read the next book in this series. I wanted to give 3 1\2 stars because it needs a really good edit.

An interesting premise that makes for a great story and a wonderful start to the series. Axle and Harley make for a great couple and are very hot together. I really like that although Axle is all alpha, he’s incredibly sweet with Harley. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Loved the story. The editing issues were pretty bad but I was able to move around them. Hoping Hawk's story is just as good with better proofreading.
