Her Captain’s Deck by Dee Ellis is part of the Fireworks, Flirt Club series of books by all different authors. These are short, steamy and a perfect way to get you in the mood for some fireworks.
Everlee Samson is twenty two years old. In her opinion, she comes from a family of beautiful people except for herself. Always feeling like the ugly duckling. Everlee feels it will help her to move forward by finally giving up her pesky virginity. And she’s devised a way to do it. Her little town of Milltown, Colorado fills up with military men over the July 4th holiday. She will pick one of them for a one night stand, he will make her a woman, and then go on his way the next morning. It’s a perfect plan, except that’s not exactly the way things worked out.
Petty Officer Keegan Dorsett did well in his life in the Navy. But now he’s ready to settle down and Milltown seems the perfect place. When he saw Everlee, he knew right away he wanted her to be a part of that future in his new home. She propositions him with one night making their own fireworks but little does she know that he has no intentions of going anywhere. That he wants her forever.
This was a quick read and oh so steamy. I love these little Flirt Club shorts. Keegan is just what Everlee needed to show her she is a beautiful woman, the perfect woman for him.

Everlee has a plan that she intends to follow though on and when Keegan swoops into her life she feels like everything is falling into place. Keegan has his eye on a particular woman and after deciding to change the path for his future he knows he’s made the right decision. This is a fast paced romance that will having you smiling non stop as we’re taken further into the story and see where these characters go. If you’re looking to take a few hours out of your day and relax with a lighthearted book then this is the story for you. A guaranteed HEA that will have you hooked on the #flirtclub series.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Keegan was pretty damn hot, at first I thought he might be a doctor but he was navy and that's just so damn sexy. I love these short stories by Dee.

Short, sweet, and super sexy Summer read! Keagan and Everlee were so good together. There instalove romance was what dreams are made of. So often, I wish instances like Everlee and Keegan's could be real. Sure, I'm happily married but I still enjoy thinking about
"what ifs."
Everlee needs to get rid of her V-card. She is a woman who is not comfortable in her own body. Everlee figures, why not get one of the military men that flock her small town during the July 4th holiday to rid her of it. She knows she won't have to worry about feelings being involved, about getting her heart broken, because the small town visitors don't stay. Little does she know that Keegan is here to stay. I really enjoyed watching Keegan show Everlee that she was beautiful inside and out.
I won't say much more about the plot since this is such a short story. I will tell you that it is a perfect beachside, under the umbrella, fruity drink in hand, read. I enjoyed it and I think you will as well.
As is usual with "shorts'" my only complaint is that I wish they were longer. Her Captain's Deck was a sweet story and I believe there is potential for a longer version should the author ever decided to add to it. I would definitely love to read it!

I absolutely adored this book!!!!
Dee has smashed this out of the park, there was everything that I needed right now.
Keegan literally had me swooning so hard that even my soul was feeling these feels, navy man who just wants to love up on this woman he has met and prove that they can be great together. Everlee was such a beautiful soul and I felt really connected to her, with her insecurities and honesty. Yeah, I was a little ready to hit her over the head at one point but she managed to make it all better..lol.
Really enjoyed this short, sexy yet still so sweet read, Dee really had me swooning hard in this one!

I loved Keegan, I loved how he loved Everlee so much, he saw her worth and her beauty and he didn’t stop until she realised it too. The fireworks were flying with these two from the start but it took them both a while to realise how they felt about each other.

Another quick and steamy read in the Fireworks series that I enjoyed! Keegan was chosen to be Everlee’s first. She just had to get rid of her V-card. He couldn’t have been more perfect for the job.

Sometime it takes being swept off your feet in a different way to find your happiness
Everlee is a 22 year old virgin who has a plan to have one of the military men who come into the town over the July 4th holiday and then leave pop her cherry. She has thought of everything as she feels if she can just get over this then she can start living her life.
Keegan is a 28 year old soon to be retired Navy Petty Officer who is all set to settle down in the same small town. He is planning on finding a girl, getting married, having babies and living the rest of his life.
Keegan saves Everlee when she has an accident while wading in a river. Let's just say she is swept off her feet but not by Keegan or one of his friends. His protective instinct comes out full force as he takes care of her and over the course of the next few hours it comes out even more, especially when he carries her around. Everlee has never felt beautiful but Keegan thinks she is something special and what she does not like about herself he appreciates. She thinks she has found the right guy to give her v-card to but he does not let her know that he is here to stay, both in town and with her.
Her Captain's Deck is a sweet and romantic short story is fast paced but still has substance. Sometimes what you plan is not what you truly need or what you find and this story proves it in spades for Everlee.

I LOVED Everlee and Keegan
Keegan is so swoony. I want one! Lol!
I love their story how if she had her way it would be a wham bam thank you ma'am but Keegan saw more and made her see the possibilities. Everlee can be sassy but is also becoming softened by Keegan's obvious interest. Something she didn't truly understand because of her own issues with self image. Keegan is patient, he distracts her from her original plot with affection, hoping to change her mind. He lets her know what he wants and then allows her to make her own decision, even though it pains him to leave her. I'm an epilogue addict and this one has a bonus one available that I definitely needed. It stills my heart to see where couples end up.

This is a very short 4th of July novella that has enough steam that satisfies your hunger for romance. Everlee was a whiny and insecure person who thought her family was beautiful and she wants to give her virginity to a random sailor so that's why I didn't like her as a character. Keegan on the other hand was a navy guy who wanted to settle down in a town like Milltown because of the scenery and as a person I found him to be charming and the kind of guy you would want a long term relationship with. Keegan saves Everlee after she fell in the river and takes her to the hospital to get her checked out and it goes uphill from there.... Then it goes back downhill after halfway through the book because of Everlee. In order to know what comes next, you'll have to read to find out.

Everlee believes that they had a short time together before he leaves. She is surprised to find out that he is staying in town after the show. Will they be able to make more lasting work?

This is a sweet steamy insta-love romance read and I enjoyed it a lot.
This one is easily to be devoured in a short time. It's very easy to read. Even though this book is short, the steaminess is off the roof.
Yup...Keegan definitely makes everything more steamy and sweeter, not a big fan of Everlee though, I understand where she came from, but that can't stop me from wanting to slap her for what she did, but I still like this couple nonetheless.

Her Captain’s Deck by Dee Ellis a five-star read that you would set sail for. Milltown certainly has a great quality of men folk; I would be buying me a ticket there if I could. Everlee is just as sweet and dream like as her sister and I was so glad that Keegan showed her just that, I am not usually a massive fan of a woman having to be shown her beauty by a man, but Dee Ellis just had a great was of doing it. A sublime story from this author once again.

Just giving away your v-card to a military man because he won't there is is an interesting idea. However, Everlee did not count on Keegan being there when she gets in trouble in rapids. Keegan keeps his plans to himself until the last possible minute but when Everlee finds out, she thinks she chose wrong. I really enjoyed this book and it has a very sweet HEA!

OK read.
Short and predictable but fun and with a remarkable H: he is not a man**re and cheats on h just because he wants her to be his "forever". She is sassy and thinks she does not want any commitment: how wrong!

What a beautiful love story
This was such a good book to read. Everlee grew up in a family of beautiful people and felt she wasn't noticed by them. She had her beautiful sister but never got over not being enough. She was out for a jog along the lake shore when she went into the water. Some how she cut her foot and the tide got a hold of her. Keegan, a retired Navy Petty Officer, saw it all happen and saved her. He took her to the hospital, then for her medicine and home. She had an agenda and so did he. It's a really good book. Read what they went through it's so good. :)

Quick easy read of insta love. Everlee doesn't think she'll see him after the weekend, but Keegan gas other ideas.

Everlee looking for someone to take her V-card but finds so much more. Keegan saves Everlee and gives her everything she wasn’t sure she needed. Great romance and their chemistry is off the charts. I think I cried through the last chapter and Epilogue. Loved how they were celebrating!
