Phantom of the Opera meets Steamy Reverse Harem Romance when Nadia is shared by her four gorgeous theater colleagues.
My first time on Tinder was a doozy. Four handsome theater men when all I expected was one. But then they laid a breathtaking proposition on me. One that dropped me, quite literally, to my knees. They want to share me…. In every way.
Ryan, the redheaded stagehand bulging with muscle, is looking for a friends-with-benefits situation. Andy, the bespectacled lighting technician with the body of Adonis, wants to court me on elaborate dates for a long-term relationship. Dorian, the slender actor with long hair and a dramatic flair, just wants a platonic friend. And Braden, the beautiful lead actor who I have a huge crush on? He needs a pretend-girlfriend to get his parents off his back.
Juggling these four gorgeous men ends up being harder than I ever expected. Especially when Dorian and I become more than just friends, and my fake relationship with Braden turns into something very real.
But something strange is happening at the theater. Malfunctioning lights, equipment crashing to the stage, and broken trapdoors—it seems a saboteur is determined to stop us from making it to opening night.
And the worst part? Everyone thinks the saboteur is me.
Can I find a way to balance the intense love from these four amazing guys? Or will I end up the saboteur’s final victim on opening night?
THE PROPOSITION is a suspenseful, steamy Reverse Harem Romance filled with humor, action, and a shocking twist-ending. It also contains sizzling hot menage encounters, in single and multiple partner scenes. HEA guaranteed!
Cassie Cole is a romance author living in Norfolk, Virginia. A polygamist/polyamorist at heart, she thinks Romance is best when served in threes, fours, and fives!
Other times, you feel it in the booty. coughcoughwink
And what a pain that is, lemme tell ya.
I've read quite a few books by Cassie Cole now and have discovered A LOT more about what it takes to build, maintain, and sustain your own Male Harem.
I, just like every other Steam loving women out there, have read these books much like a 'How To' guide in the hopes that one day, I too, could have my own bodybuilder-esque Harem of men waiting to indulge my every want and need. (even though i know my awkward A$$ would end up responding to a hot guy proposition all Ala Gen wilder) Oh the life of an introvert...
BUT STILL
I was game. I was ready.
Until...I got kinda tired.
Where in books Cole has written in the past, I feel the investment, that overwhelming draw to each and every partner in the puzzle, the forbidden love and rocky bumps of emotional attachments forming....Kinda like Tetris....but with more ding dong...and booty COUGH
I don't know if it was just the overall jumping strait into the fire with the relationships in this book, or perhaps it was my disinterest with the underlying storyline, That was kinda overwhelmed with all the COPIOUS AMOUNT OF GRATUITOUS LOVE MAKING HAPPENING. And come on...the Big Twist on the bad guy here...Maybe I'm just a psychic, but honestly saw that brick coming from six blocks over.
Which I am usually Completely Here For. So, maybe it was that, we started to get into the emotional side of each one of her BOYS and why they wanted her or why they tried to resist, but then we quickly jump to them gettin' jiggy with it....and promptly forget any hangups...cause....sex = Love....right?
1's a party 2's a tower 3's for power but 4......I feel like I just need a shower.
And where i found that each of the guys could potentially have their own types of underlying thing, they all pretty much blended together at one point. Which was sad because one of the things I love about these complex relationships is that each character IS significantly different from one another.
(Unrelated Side Note:) I shall also be adding to the Dictionary of Words That Will Make Me Dry Heave No Matter The Context That They Are Used In. Because I will physically bleed from my eyes and ears if I ever see or hear the word gape used in the context I heard it here EVER AGAIN.
Anyways, back to it.
But I think my real frustration lies with the lead here: Nadia. This could just be a severe case of "It's Me, Not You" , but I really just didn't really like here. We never really got any story about here life (family, early life, etc.), and just kinda had to go with the premise that she is a fantastic dancer, singer, and actor. Plus, she's a freak. So. Yeah.
I didn't like how quick she was to jump all over each of these guys (which is totally calling the kettle black her, cause if I was in her shoes..)
I might have forgiven it, IF there had been some sign of emotional setbacks, but nah. Girl was strait up ready to go 24/7.
And the Butt. OHHHHH HO HO Don't even get me started on that cup of tea honey. Judas Priest sister. Take it easy will ya. I get it. Some people are into that. Me? Not so much (or more accurately not NEARLY as much as Nadia.)
It could have just been a perfect storm of circumstances here for me, but the whole thing just left me feeling pretty meh. So here I am. Wallowing in my MEHness.
Nadia joins Tinder at her friends request and answers a not so innocent profile. Finding that it involves four men, one on which she has been crushing, throws her for a loop. Braden, Ryan, Andy and Dorian, all involved in the same play as Nadia, find the individual things they want in her and more. Only thinking Nadia is a little on the loose side, I begin to envy her taking and getting what she wants. A reverse harem story containing hot sex, friendship, love, sabotage and hilarity that keeps you turning the pages to find out what everyone is willing to do to get what they want.
I received this ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review
Let me start by saying that I love a good mystery. When I’m able to figure out the mystery before it’s revealed, well that’s crack to me!! 😬 This is a great story. Great character and plot development. We really get to know everyone. Couple continuity errors that bothered me, but the story was so good and hot, I didn’t dwell too hard. Loved all the guys. Cringed super hard when Nadia met the parents. It was like watching a train wreck. I wanted stop reading, but I couldn’t 😂
Nadia is an understudy in a play and also one of the backup dancers in an off-Broadway play. She goes out with a guy from Tinder and ends up knowing him. She didn’t realize that it was actually 4 guys she was on a date with. Each guy has their own reasons for sharing will Nadia agree to it? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and great steam I really liked this reverse harem read.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋💋💋 Excellent story and brilliant characters, so many personalities and different ways with them . All of them wanting different things from this relationship. All with separate needs but all needing each other to achieve them. All of them needing Nadia . Really good , love Cassie Cole’s books . There is a great story of who dun it that runs with this , the plot is great .
The great plot was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!

I feel like this is the first time I've dropped a book because I started hating Nadia, the female love interest, so much. Things were fine in the beginning; I find the setting okay, the pacing was nice, the writing style easy to get used to. BUT the female lead on the other hand? Dropping red flags left and right.
I love everything Cassie Cole, and I can’t get enough of her books. She has a way of giving you steamy and loving stories that will have you begging for more. I love all her stories.
The Proposition is a story, a page-turner that will have you hooked instantly. The chemistry between Nadia and her guys’ sizzles, and you will love it. I love the way they communicate and express their feelings to make sure that everyone is happy.
A relationship where they are giving each other what they need and grow together. Ryan brings spice and fire always down for what Nadia wants and needs. Andy the sweet and shy guy that loves to go on unique dates and lets Nadia test his adventurous side. Dorian the fun and lovable one that gives her the friendship and connection they both need. Braden, the beautiful guy that makes her melt with his loving and offers her support and love.
This story brings you a relationship with five people that find love and acceptance in each other’s lives. They know what they want, and they find joy in each other arms. A unique family that loves and finds happiness.
A true Jem one of my favorites, and I highly recommend all books by author Cassie Cole.
Interesting concept and every theatre nerds dream of having a Harem of guys during a show at your beck and call.
There was an added element of an actual plot that was interesting, but that being said...it wasnt very good. The 'who done it' was very easy to guess even though it was a "twist". From the start i could narrow down the list of suspects pretty well with motivations etc. Nothing really surprised me in this book.
The steamy scenes were rushed and a bit forced/blunt. You can definately tell what the author likes or fantasies about because there are the same sexual trops throughout without much variety and they seem highly unlikely to occur every time.
Id give this a 2 star, but it was enjoyable to see this kind of romance novel set in the theatre world/background. I might check out another one of this authors books to compare the writing, but im not having high hopes if im honest.
I have read every single Cassie Cole book, Once I Started the first book I couldn't put it down and then I needed more!
This one has quite the mysterious twist and I left it til last because I wasn't sure I'd like the whole Broadway/theatre/mystery side going on but I was dragged in and absolutely loved it! The guys where perfect and so different! They all had their own unique and perfect ways about themselves that you can't help falling in love with.
I was guessing things as the story went on to see if I was right and I did get quite a few correct but it was fun to wonder and guess and make my own little theories while reading and then getting the big reveals at the end!
I loved this book! And I'm so happy I gave it a chance and didn't miss out on an awesome story!
They all needed something different from her. Braden wanted a fake girlfriend, Dorian wants a friend, Ryan wants a f*ck buddy, and Andy wanted something long term. How could she offer something like? It was easy as she got to know each of them it wasn't hard to please them. They all worked together at the theater and it just kinda made sense that something would happen in the end. But the twist in this story was that Jack was the owner and the grandfather to the one person who wanted the show canceled because she couldn't live up to the hype. Now she's in jail and they get their own show and in the end, they all are happy because surprise they survived and will get married.
My favourite musical is Phantom of the Opera. So, when I came across The Proposition, with its strong Phantom vibes, I had to read it.
I quite often read very dark and intense books, and occasionally need to take a break with something lighter. This one was just what I needed. It was an enjoyable, fun read, with a good storyline and lots of steam. I wore my reader's grin throughout, and it's left me smiling.
Will definitely be back for more of her books in the future.
As usual Cassie always goes above and beyond to entertain you are guaranteed a thrilling read that u won't be able to put down I enjoy all the characters funny sexy quirky alphas all
Cassie Cole delivers again! This story is scorching hot and sexy! With a theater mystery. You will fall in love with her men! Nadia is a strong woman who knows what she likes and goes and demands it! Love strong female leads and Cassie Cole writes them like no other!
I'm done DNF 65%. I really enjoyed the theatre setting at the beginning because it was a little different but that was about it. There was nothing I particularly hated about the story but there's nothing I'm really liking at the moment either it's just not going anywhere. So on to the next.
Very vanilla for a menage book. Just the same old same old. The story is fine but the villain is obvious from the start. The guys are basically all the same. No heat. No chemistry.
This was okay. I enjoy reading reverse harems or polyam relationships (though usually everyone is involved with everyone) but I liked Ryan and Dorian the most.
I didn't appreciate a lot of the "gay" stereotypes in it. It made me really uncomfortable reading them.
This was another good read from this author, the emotions you feel reading this book feel like you going through them yourself. Can not wait to see what is next.
Nadia is piece of work (in the worst way) Brayden is incredibly self involved. I didn’t enjoy their aspect of this harem but Dorian, Ryan and Andy were great.
Sizzling hot from the start 🔥 Good back story and creative sexy scences. Suspense is a little easy for me to guess, but mostly reading it for the hot ones hehe.
One of the best I've read from Cassie Cole. I like how she does some research on the theme, theater this time, where she immerses us, plus a mystery plot very well led which makes the novel so much more that a romance one. Cole is garantee of a good time reading.
This RH was a little different from others I have read and I truly enjoyed it!
It had the usual chemistry but even though the origin of the proposal was about the same the relationships really did proceed a little more organically.
Plus we had some mystery involved and danger. All in all one of my top RH picks!
WOW I really liked this book. I thought the storyline was strong and the characters were just brilliant. I found myself really laughing at time and the slow burn that turns into love was amazing!! Nadia is working 3 jobs just to make enough money to live. She doesn't mind as all she has ever wanted was to be in musicals and now she is the under study for the leading part in one of the worse musicals going. She thought it could be good but the leading lady was awful. But she didnt mind as she got to see Braden every day. He was the beautiful lead actor who I have a huge crush on. When she stood in for the leading lady one morning she couldnt believe the passion he had for this play it seemed so real. One of Nadia's other jobs was working at a bar. She loved it there and Robbie was like her best friend. When Robbie took her phone to see what responses she got on Tinder. They noticed that Braden had swiped to show he was interested in her. Nadia wasn't sure as she had used a fake name and she had been very drunk when she did her own swiping, she never wanted to go on Tinder but Robbie told her she needed to stop getting one night stands from the bar. She wasn't easy just enjoyed sex. Robbie takes matters into his own hands and sets up a quick drink for that evening. But when she sees Braden at the bar she just goes as herself asking to join him as they both way for her dates to arrive. They get on well with each other and Nadia hakes a quick exit to the ladies room to message Braden to say something has come up and she/Angela couldnt make it. Feeling better about it all she quickly makes her way back to Braden but he isn't alone. The other 3 men that were in the photo that Braden had used in his photo on Tinder where saying loudly that she was Angela. BUSTED!! BUt all is not what it seems. It wasn't just a profile of Braden it was for each of the men but they wanted to share 1 woman. B was for Braden R was for Ryan A was for Andy and D was for Dorian. Ryan, the redheaded stagehand bulging with muscle, is looking for a friends-with-benefits situation. Andy, the bespectacled lighting technician with the body of an Adonis, wants to court me with gifts and dates for a long-term relationship. Dorian, the slender actor with long hair and a dramatic flair, just wants a platonic friend. And Braden, the beautiful lead actor who I have a huge crush on? He needs a pretend-girlfriend as his parents believed he was gay so this would help to get his parents off his back. Nadia cant believe it she feels lied too and says no quickly and runs off. Will she do it???? Can she make 4 men happy in different ways? OMG this is a fantastic read. I dont want to give anything away because that's the beauty of this book. Just one slip up and you'll get it all. I loved the dynamics of this group of people. Each having their own flaws and strengths. I couldnt believe the twists and turns in this book right to the very end. Its a brilliant read. Loved it!!! This has got to be one of my favourite books by Cassie Cole

This was a fun story to read. You get to meet five young people who are in an off-Broadway play, dancers, lead, lights and sound. You meet a couple people at the bar that our heroine works at. You get to watch as they keep trying to figure out who is sabotaging the play. Is it the underpaid/overworked director, or the understudy, or some deranged fan of the lead actress or is it a ghost? The characters were written so well that you can close your eyes and easily picture them. Great story with a surprise ending.
Nadia is the typical New York dancer/actress. She is working two jobs so she can pursue her dream of being on Broadway. She works selling shoes in a department store during some days, practices whenever it is called for, at least five days a week, and works some nights at a bar a couple blocks from the new theater. This theater was bought by some rich guy who owns several bars and restaurants, but he is doing it so his granddaughter can be the star in this play. The theater was renovated on the cheaper side. The crew is each doing the work of at least 2 or 3 people, there is no security besides some old locks and bolts. Nadia was lucky to get a dancing and singing part, and she is also the understudy for the diva star, the granddaughter of the producer. Nadia does get to do some scenes with the gorgeous lead because the diva either shows up late or doesn't show up at all. When she does show up, her dancing and singing leave a lot to be desired. If the diva goes on on opening night, they all know there will only be bad reviews. When Nadia goes on a Tinder date that has a picture of the lead actor, she goes and finds out that the picture really was of four guys. The name was a combination of all four of the guys.
Bradon, Andy, Dorian and Ryan all share a townhouse in New York city that Bradon owns. They are all looking for different things and don't have time to have a full time girlfriend. Bradon one of the male leads, is looking for someone to 'act' as his girlfriend for his parents. Andy, who works in the booth controlling lights, is looking for a serious relationship. Dorian, the other male lead, is looking for a friend since he is missing his sister who was his best friend and is getting over the end of a long term relationship. Ryan, who works lights, is looking for a friends with benefits, who doesn't even have to be friends. Being that they are all working on the same play, they know they don't have extra time to put into finding different girlfriends and to spend with the girl. They are looking for one girl to be their everything girl. Plus it comes with a free room within 30 minutes from the theater.
Things work well with everyone, meaning the guys are jealous about the other guys, then things kinda go wonky. Some feel more than they planned and one doesn't know how he feels. Nadia will do anything for her guys, they are not only her roommates, but they are friends that she deeply cares for.

Nadia is an understudy for the lead actress in a play. In addition, her actual role is as a backup dancer in the off-Broadway play, along with a day job at a retail store and a bartending job in the evening! When her bartender co-worker makes her install Tinder, she goes on a date under the name she uses on Tinder. One of her matches turns out to be Braden, although he didn’t know she was his Tinder date; and when she went to the bar for nachos, 3 other guys had joined him at the table! They told her the Tinder profile was not Braden’s – it was an acronym for all four of them: BRAD. They mostly got rejections on Tinder since each wants different things from the app.
So they explain and invite her into a casual relationship – with all of them. In their different jobs at the theater their differing reasons for joining in a mutually beneficial situation made sense. Ryan wants a friends-with-benefits relationship and no strings; Andy wants elaborate dates going for a long-term real relationship; Dorian just wants a platonic friend to talk to and be with, like his sister was for him; and Braden just needs a pretend-girlfriend to calm his parents down. She turns them down and leaves the bar. But when a customer causes a scene at her retail job, Nadia is fired. Braden’s offer could be the solution to Nadia’s problem, if she would accept it. And in fact, it seems like a simple solution to satisfy everyone’s needs if Nadia was willing to participate.
But another problem has been happening in the old theater as too many malfunctions and strange accidents seem to continuously occur – someone seems to be sabotaging the production the closer they get to opening night. Unfortunately, when the lead actress is almost killed by a falling light, Nadia, as her understudy with the most to gain, comes under suspicion. What’s going on? Who would really want to sabotage the show and why?
I really enjoyed this well-written book. The dialog was humorous and very natural. The characters were likable and their environment was realistic, except for the horrendous work schedule poor Nadia maintained! That sounded absolutely grueling! But I loved her co-worker, Robbie, and her sweet customer, Jack. They were so much like family to her! The story line moved at a good pace, and the mystery and suspense of the saboteur’s purpose and identity kept the reader fully invested in the story. Grab your copy for an enjoyable close-up look at theater life! And see how those simple reasons for hooking up with Nadia may have changed a little as they each learned about each other and gave it a try.
