THE ROSIE PROJECT meets MUST LOVE DOGS in this fun rom-com short story in which socially awkward web designer Zach crushes on Halley, the pretty artist who owns and runs his favorite coffee shop. He figures the way to her heart is through the café mascot, her friendly basset hound. But dog-fearing Zach is getting nowhere with Halley or her dog, when she invites him to a dog adoption event at her café—and he finds himself face to face with the enormous black shaggy mutt that could be the key to his romantic future.

Who would’ve thought such a good read 16 pages, would be as good as it was? I found the story enjoyable and laughed at the silly things. Dogs bring people together and that’s what the story did. It brought Zack Ringo and Tessa together. The author has a story telling ability.
I wanted to like this, but I stopped reading as soon as I got to the "You need to get your dog" when he NEVER promised to adopt the dog. I wish Zach had had a backbone to just say "sounds like a YOU problem..not a me problem". I don't care if he had a crush oh Halley or not...boundaries are important!
Yuck. Zach is super stiff and annoying. And creepy. Terrible editing. Some sentences didn't make sense because they either had a missing or extra word. If I wasn't super bored in the doctor's waiting room, I wouldn't have finished this.
