Forrest lives in a festive, college beach town. It seems to be a beautiful place, until discovering its dark and seedy underworld.
Forrest’s most prized possession is his journal. He hopes to use this journal one day as the main source for his autobiography. After losing it mysteriously, he is determined to get it back. He devises an elaborate plan, investigating leads and charming his way into the right social circles. Eventually, he finds the thief and plans to steal his journal back during a house party.
His hopes are quickly dashed, and the scheme brings Forrest directly into the clutches of Winter Wonderland; a violent drug-ring fueled by the profits of cocaine. What starts off as a simple drinking game escalates to a stabbing and a flee for life. Forrest must scour through the party-crazed town, evading crow bar wielding maniacs, and avoiding an underground fight club, where competitors fight to the death.
Will Forrest make it out of Winter Wonderland a second time, or will he fall victim to its deathly grasp? His journal and his future are on the line but, for Forrest, returning to his darkened past may be a step too far.
This book is immediately gripping and offers little reprieve from its fast pace. Once you start reading, it's hard to stop. As exhilarating as it is thoughtful and melancholy.
