The fabric of our lives is made from pieces of happiness and sadness. Within Pieces, sorrow and pain sink heavily into the first few pages to convey life’s darker side but are followed by brighter verses about standing tall, finding strength and making a difference. Smiles dance among the words in section three while section four quickly follows with a mixture of poems to provoke thought. A special nature themed section is added at the end. Pieces is not overwhelming in any theme but adds just enough of life’s struggles, blessings and the little things in between.
