Ayano Yamane (native name: やまねあやの) is one of Japan's most popular Boys' Love genre manga artist.
She debuted as a professional manga artist in 1996 and since then has published several BL series and illustrated many light novels. She is one of the top selling BL manga artists in Japan. Her most successful work is the Finder series.

Another amazing volume. 😊🖤 It was nice seeing Fei Long and Mikhail again. The mangaka's art has improved considerably in the 15 years it took to get to these chapters and both men were looking especially delicious.

After the terrifying events of the last volume, Asami decided that it would be safer for Akihito to stay hidden until he could figure out who was in charge of the group trying to hurt them. I was sad that they were separated for the majority of this volume, but the overall plot really made up for it. That scene before the cliffhanger in the last chapter was...wow. 😳 I was not expecting that, but you won't find me complaining. 😏😌 Two beautiful men getting it on will always be okay in my book. 5 enthusiastic stars.

A lot of gunfights in this volume,as Asami tries to figure out who is hunting him and Akihito.

Akihito,in the meantime has been stashed in a temple,and finds life away from technology hard.

Fei Long gets involved in this mess,and he ensures the couple rejoins.

Unfortunately,the enemy catches up with them and we end in a cliffhanger.

Very cute extra stories at the end.Asami comforting the infant Akihito is babysitting,and Asami and Akihito kicking ass as fake superheroes 🦸‍♂️ .

Such passion. You really do coddle him like a precious treasure, don't you? So much so that perhaps you are losing sight of who he really is.

buckle up, because this is going to be an unnecessarily emotional review introduction.
since this is one of the first manga series i've started reading in middle school, it holds a much more special place than others. so every volume represents a milestone in my own life; my ambitions, my growth. holding a volume of this manga is like holding a memory scrapbook, weird i know. as akihito walks in a path that requires him to be more resolute while questioning the beliefs he always had; i, myself, turned into a totally different person.

anyways, this volume helped us to see other characters' perspectives, tiny bit of asami's overall thoughts on akihito as well as his burning desire to keep him safe. however, fei long gave asami an incredible dilemma to solve. i mean, it's akihito we're talking about so he's always in search of the truth. would a wild root stop being a problem just because you plucked it up from your own garden to throw into a different soil? it's in his nature to dig himself a place to grow.

If you love Finder, you won't be disappointed in this 9th volume, especially if you are a Fei Long fan. Asami has hidden Akihito at a remote Buddhist temple while he tries to find Sudo and work out who's behind the hit on his home. Worried, Akihito reaches out to Fei Long and suddenly the temple is destroyed by fire. Fei Long finds Asami and drugging him to keep him safe decides to tackle the Russians himself by going to see Mikhail alone....

Firstly have volume 10 on hand because again, this ends on an almighty cliffhanger. There's not much Asami/Akihito action in the main story - instead we get... Fei Long/Mikhail - but as I like both characters, isn't too much of a hardship and you still get the love between our two leads shining through their actions - Asami's determinism to keep his lover safe and Akihito's worry...

There are two fanservice bonus stories the first Akihito has to look after a friend's baby - and Asami is surprisingly adept at quieting the little mite. Sooooooooo cute. The next one has Akihito as an actor in a superhero show where the villain isn't pulling his punches, causing Asami to step in - Asami looks so hot in a superhero costume!

J’avais très envie de continuer la série Viewfinder, un de mes mangas préférés. De plus, on arrive avec ce tome 9 sur une partie de l’histoire que je n’avais pas encore lue ! Bien sûr, comme nous sommes bien avancés dans l’intrigue, je ne vais pas pouvoir vous en dire beaucoup. Mais j’aime toujours autant évoluer au milieu de ces mafieux sans pitié.

Nous sommes sur un tome de transition mais plein d’action. Akihito s’est, comme d’habitude attiré des ennuis, sauf que cette fois sa vie et celle d’Asami sont sérieusement menacées. On voit mûrir le jeune photographe dans ce tome, prendre conscience, enfin, du milieu dans lequel il évolue. Mais son amour pour Asami dépasse cette peur du danger. On va y trouver aussi un chef Yakuza rendu plus vulnérable par sa séparation forcée avec Akihito. Impossible que je cesse un jour d’adorer Asami ! On retrouve aussi notre cher Feilong, qu’on voit encore sous un autre jour. Cet homme est décidément plein de surprises !

Une intrigue qui se complexifie, des dessins toujours aussi beaux et une fin qui tient en haleine. Une suite que j’ai beaucoup aimé et dans la belle lignée des autres tomes.

Asami and Akihito escaped the condo assault, and Akihito has been hidden in a temple to keep him from being targeted. He’s going stir crazy not knowing with nothing to do and not knowing what is happening with Asami. Sudo is on the run from his buyers and Asami, and has teamed up with the shady Sakazaki to try and find the missing shipment. Asami has traveled to Hong Kong in pursuit, which naturally draws Fei Long into the fray.

When Akihito’s safe house is discovered, and unable to reach Asami, he turns to Fei Long for help. Fei Long decides to remove Asami from the situation so he can resolve it himself, but his underestimates the danger of Sudo’s buyers, a Russian rebel group. Akihito and Asami are reunited, but they’re out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Two cute and sexy Finder stories close the volume. In the first story, Asami comes home to find Akihito babysitting for a friend and the baby won’t quite until Asami holds him. The deluxe edition bonus story finds Akihito being bullied at a new job and Asami comes to his rescue in a most unusual way.

There is more action than the others volumes of this series and less smut.

Akihito & Asami are separated. The young photographer avec been shipped to a mountain temple for his protect and does not have any contacts with his lover. An unknown enemy of Asami is trailing him and destroying his business.

In Hong Kong, he cross path with Fei long, who have been reached by Akihito. The Chinese gangster wants to deal himself with the Russian mafia.

For once, Akihito does not get kidnap and is actually laying low, following Asami’s instructions. It finally seems that the crime lord care about the younger man and see him as more than a possession.
I am wondering where this series will be going and looking forward to read the next book.

Akihito è stato portato in un tempio buddhista in mezzo alle montagne e non ha più contatti con Asami da quando sono fuggiti dal suo appartamento preso in assalto da un gruppo armato. Non sa cosa sia successo all'uomo, a Sudo e a tutti gli altri. Vuole andarsene ma non sa come. Ma forse saranno i nemici a trovare prima lui... Nel mentre un Asami in fuga cerca un alleato ad Hong Kong, e chissà se lo troverà in Feilong... Un bel volume che riesce a mantenere la tensione e l'azione del precedente e quindi continua ad appassionare. Inoltre sarà che sono fan di Feilong, ma mi piace come ritorna in scena e abbiamo anche il ritorno di Mikhail con questa coppia che regalerà delle gioie, uh-uh! Sì, sono di parte ma mi sta piacendo questa parte e anche le storie extra finali le trovo divertenti e piccanti quanto basta per sopperire alla mancanza di queste scene nella storia principale.

I have no idea the time frame in this series, but the photographer has changed a bunch over the course of these books. He goes from hating to loving his mafia partner, but the mafia guy did seriously questionable things to you! I just don’t get why you would risk…. Wait, Stockholm syndrome. But like the sex version of that.

I hate when Akihito and Asami are apart but that ending was something else! I really want to know what happens next! Time to settle in for another wait. I really hope that volume 10 comes out next year like the mangaka wants. *fingers crossed*

The story was barely there to tide me over. Cliffhanger everything(!!!) in preparation for the next volume to come, I’m sure. I really hope the next book will be more all-encompassing than this one.

The DRAMA. And Fei Long got his moment. I've been waiting for him to get together with the Russian. The bonus story at the end cracked me up. There's just something about Asami holding a baby that's so funny. Also loved the superhero thing. It was great.

Another great action packed volume. Although, if I were Akihito, I'd punch Asami in the face! Always dragging him along and putting in the side line and giving him a million things to worry about. Just one punch. One really good punch is all I need! 👊

Λιγότερο smut (λογικό αν σκεφτεί κανείς ότι ήταν μακριά ο ένας από τον άλλο), και πιο πολύ νοσταλγία. Τι πρέπει να κάνουν δύο εραστές για να τους αφήσουν στην ησυχία τους? Ο ένας πρέπει σίγουρα να αλλάξει επάγγελμα.

Asami and Akihito were apart for the most of the story and when they finally united, it ended at a cliffhanger. But Fei Long returned, and the bonus stories were very cute, which made up for it.

I did not expect Fei Long to be this prominent in this volume, to be that funny or do any of the things he did. Especially the last 12 pages or so.
