Angela K. Ryan is the author of the Sapphire Beach Cozy Mystery Series, the Seaside Ice Cream Shop Mysteries, and the Cape Cod Cozy Mysteries. She writes clean, feel-good cozies for readers who love humor, lots of twists and turns, and happy-dance endings.

When she is not writing, Angela enjoys the outdoors, especially kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, snowshoeing, and skiing. She lives in Massachusetts and loves all four of the New England seasons, but she looks forward to regular escapes to the white, sandy beaches of southwest Florida, where her mother resides.

It is fitting that Angela’s series take place in fictitious seaside towns in Massachusetts and Florida. These small towns would be idyllic if it weren’t for all the bodies that keep turning up!

Angela dreams of one day owning a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel like the sweet pup in her Sapphire Beach Series, but she isn’t home enough to take care of one. So, for now, lives vicariously through one of her main characters, Connie.

I have just finished the 5 book in the series and I have to say it’s my new favorite series! I love the way the author writes and how she describes Sapphire Beach.

While the books are on the shorter side, I actually think they are the perfect length. Sometimes cozy mysteries drag on for a bit but these are perfect.

The cast of characters are lovable and add a great touch to the story. The main character is fabulous as well as is her passion for helping people. It makes for a truly feel good read!

We sometimes find our true friends in unexpected places.

Ruby takes a DNA test and finds out she has a niece she never knew about. Ruby wants her family to meet Amy the niece she found out about after being put on a DNA website. Sally her sister in law who was married to her brother Kevin until he passed away from a heart attack for years ago was the first person in the family who was going meet Amy. Only when Amy showed up her house to meet her she found Sally dead.

Better and better

This series keeps getting better with each new book. I love Connie and her willingness to help her friends with their problems. I hope Amy becomes a permanent addition to all future stories. I liked learning more about Grace and Ruby and their families. Can’t wait to see what happens to Connie next time.
