Note to the reader
Reunion #2: Reunited was originally published as Reunion: A Short Story.

Lee Charles has a crush on Darren Jensen, the star of the basketball team and the most popular boy in Avery Row High School ever since he laid eyes on him since the beginning of the junior year. When they get paired together on an English project, they immediately become friends. After a misunderstanding that almost threatens their friendship, they begin dating each other in secret. Soon Lee and Darren fell head over heels in love with each other and formed an unbreakable bond between them.

During their senior year, Darren unexpectedly breaks things off with Lee, to live a straight, normal life, and he begins dating the prettiest and most popular girl in the school, Brenda Harris. Lee is devastated and heartbroken over the loss of losing his true love.

Thirteen years later, Lee still has strong feelings for Darren. When Lee’s best friend, Jamel Hayes informs him that Darren wants to talk to him when he sees him at the high school reunion, Lee is elated and confused. He wonders what Darren wants to talk to him about. When Lee sees Darren at the reunion with his wife, Brenda, Darren acts like he doesn’t know him. Heartbroken by the way that Darren is treating him, Lee leaves the reunion, vowing to get Darren out of his system once and for all. But all is not what it seems when Darren shows up after the reunion at Lee’s front door.

GOOD read

this was a very good read after I realized that the reunions part 2 was going to tell the story of a different couple from the same high school and became more intriguing and very interesting and I enjoy the fact that the author put in the two parts so you can see actual Darren's part in Lee's part and how they went about their lives in it was very refreshing to know that Darren was just as pained as Lee we often hear the lover scorned side but never the one who does the scorning and it was good to see that he was going to as well
