Mallory Winther has never been afraid to take matters into her own hands. Until her power comes in, exposing her as a dark witch with a deadly touch. She can't trust herself not to hurt her family, much less keep them safe from the darkness prowling the streets of their small town. What's worse, Mal has caught the eye of a reaper who doesn't care for her brand of magic and threatens to collect her soul if she doesn't get her power under control. Along comes help from the unlikeliest of saviors--goody two shoes Holden Mitchem. He knows he's cute, thinks he's charming, and has all the answers to questions Mal never cared to ask. In a word? Insufferable. And she's falling head over heels for him. Which places him in the crosshairs in the deadliest game of cat and mouse Whisper Grove has ever seen.
It’s now 1am and I have finished! It’s been a while since I laughed so much while reading! I also have a ton of highlights because the snark was awesome!
I think Mallory is my favorite! And team her up with Ellery, her twin sister - wow what an explosion of completedness. Yes I made up a new word because it’s so much more awesome than completeness, they are so much more.
The “guys”!! Oh. My. Weirdness! They are awesome yet crazily perverted and catty! Those guys are borrowed from Robyn Peterson and now I have a new must read author because I want more of those guys!!
This is the last book in the Witches of Whisper Grove series and I highly recommend you read them all if you want a fun, suspenseful series full of attitude, laughter, and craziness.
I could go on and on about this book, the whole series actually, but I don’t want to give anything away!!

This was better than the book before it but I'm not sure it is a 4 star book. I would do a 3.5 but that isn't an option so I'll settle on a 3. The real issue is that each book doesn't feel like a full book. And in this book, there is the introduction of a character that is never fully explained and then the book that finishes up this story isn't counted as a book in this series. And it isn't explained there either. So I'm frustrated with these 'books'.
Okay liver in a cupcake 🧁 is just nasty! I don’t care if it’s for a dog. Yes that is what I am stuck on. Map is dark funny. Holden has kahonas the size of grapefruit but a heart ❤️ the size Jupiter. Elle or Alex buying baby booties?
I like the books but I am going to stop reading because they don’t end. You have to read the next book in order to find out what happens and the next book doesn’t end either.
