Dexter is a brooding artist. He’s mean, stand-off-ish and unsociable. When Pepper, a girl with her own tortured past is hired to be his assistant Dexter has to learn to deal with it. Can she be the key to unlocking his mind or will he drive her away?
Pepper is a strong woman who can handle what life has thrown at her. Dealing with Dexter is a whole other story.
This is a feisty romance read.
I’ll pretty much read anything by this author even if it’s not my usual genre. An enjoyable read.

Que livro mais lindo! Nunca tinha lido nada dessa autora mas procurando algum livro para ler me deparei com essa história e decidi dar uma chance, e que bom que eu fiz .
Lost in the Darkness traz uma história de duas pessoas marcadas e sofrendo pelo seu passado e por terem perdido ( de formas diferentes ) alguém que amava e vemos eles pouco a pouco voltando a viver juntos. A história deles é cheia de altas e baixo, de momentos lindos, outros difíceis, os personagens são complexos e o livro também trata de um assunto importante, o qual acho que a autora soube retratar bem. Eu gostei muito dessa história, me vi cativada pelo romance e desejando que Emett ganhe uma história no futuro próximo .
Se você procura um livro emocional que traz uma história de amor, amizade, família, segundas chances acho que vale a pena dar uma chance a esse livro.

Lost In The Darkness is the fisrt book in The Lost and Found Series by author K.L. Jessop. It is written in dual POV and tells the story of Pepper & Dexter.
Two different people, haunted by their past.
At first, it was a little hard for me to get into the story, but at some point it was good.
Both Pepper & Dexter have their own demons.
Dexter was dark, antisocial, moody, closed of, my heart broke for him. But Pepper arrives in his life at the right moment.
Pepper is a little firecracker. Fierce, strong, Dexter's perfect match.
Dexter is lost in his grief but with Pepper in his life, he just has to learn to how to deal with her by his side.
I liked how the mental illness was approached and deal with it.
All in one, this was a great book and very good written. The main characters and the secondary characters were very good constructed. There were some very steamy scenes, and just not the dark for me.
But I loved it
I will definitely read again from this author.

I really enjoyed this book!
It took me awhile to get into it, I can't lie. In the beginning of the book, I wasn't all that hooked. And then boom, a big moment, a total breakdown, and I was IN LOVE!
This book dealt with mental illness beautifully. I was so scared of the "they SAVED me!" stereotype that feeds into unhealthy behaviors from those suffering, but this author handled bipolar with love and care. It was realistic, well-done, and honest... but still magical and hopeful as all romances should be.
This was a beautiful read with VERY steamy scenes! If you like an enemies to lovers read that tackles very dark matters in a realistic but still beautifully hopeful way, then this story is for you.
I will definitely read more by this author in the future. Thank you for the ARC!

Grab the tissues! Lost in the darkness is an emotionally charged, beautiful story about love & loss, darkness & light. This book has it all and you won’t be able to put it down until the very last page.
From the very first page I was absolutely hooked and blown away by Dexter and Peppers story!
Dexter is quite possibly one of my favourite book characters. He’s so moody, so broken, so lost. His character has gone through so much throughout his life, it’s left him mentally and emotionally ruined.

I can't pinpoint why, but Lost In the Darkness really hit me hard. Dex is an artist lost in darkness, rude, broody, so a tortured soul. Pepper becomes his assistant, and she definitely throws his world into chaos, but Pepper has her own dark past, so yeah, my emotions were all out of whack as I read this story. Pepper is actually just what the doctor ordered for our broken hero, Dex, since she won't let him stay in the darkness. I'm telling you, the pain was palpable as it seeped out of my kindle to envelop me so I went through the fire with them. They do have a connection, which has sparks flying, but you already know that Dex will be trying to deny deny deny. How long before he gives in for a chance at a future with light?! Hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Lost In The Darkness is one of this author's best books so far! I've read this gripping and emotional 5 star read twice already and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Dexter and Pepper's story is dark in places, but there's also lots of moments where there's fun, laughter and passion. I found myself sat with a big smile on my face whilst reading some of the beautiful moments between this couple who always remain strong no matter what. Lost In The Darkness shows the realities of mental health, grief and guilt. It's not always an easy read, but it's one you can't miss downloading and losing yourself in. KL Jessop is a talented author who clearly puts her heart and soul into every story she creates

I was hooked from the first paragraph right to the very end. Every emotion I could feel was felt. The writing is amazing and really dragged me into the story. I even found myself crying along with the characters. That's how good the author's writing is!
Dexter might be moody but I have no doubt that by the end of this book the way you feel about him will have changed and you will be begging for more.
Each character has been brought to life in their own unique way - and everyone needs to have a best friend like malcolm in their life 🤣
I urge you to get lost in the dark and dangerous mind of Dexter Wilson. You will not regret it.

I loveeee dexter hes a brooding moody street artist with a heartbreaking past trying to live with his demons the best he can ,hes convinced he doesn't deserve or need anyone, until the fiesty little splash of colour that is pepper shows him that light can slowly seep into his darkness if hes willing to let it.
"She's the one I never saw coming. The calm to my storm."
But Pepper and Dexter's story is not all sunshine and rainbows they are both fighting to keep going , both dealing with loss but in the end can they fight for each other.

This is the 1st in a new series and is Dexter and Pepper’s story. Dexter is a broody and unsociable artist who is tormented by his past demons. Pepper is a strong and feisty female who is hired as Dexter’s assistant. Both characters are haunted by their pasts, yet she has the ability to bring light into his life, and is the calm before the storm, and she is determined to push him out of his comfort zone. This is a well written story which is a heartfelt and emotional roller coaster throughout, as well as being a dark, steamy, and thought-provoking tale about loss and survival. I cannot wait to read more from this author, and I recommend for all.

I freaking loved this book. Such a well written story about being lost in the darkness, such a fitting title. I adore the way mental illness was handled in this story. It’s so emotional and real.
I adore the characters, they both have their demons. Dexter is dark, brooding, closed off, and moody. My heart went out to him. Pepper is so strong and fiery.
This tugged on my heartstrings and took my on an emotional rollercoaster. I really can’t recommend this enough and I’m looking forward to more in the series.

Loved this book. Loved how they brought out the best in each other and how they made each other whole! Oh and hands off Emmet he is mine!!!. Definitely needs to be on you TBR pile! Never read a bad K.l.Jessop book xx

This took me a little while to really get into the story but once I did there was no going back. I was kept there. It had a few moments I found really pulled on my heart strings but the characters were do well written that they were fantastic for each other. An absolutely fantastic story.

OMG!! What a beautiful story!!! I just loved Dexter and Pepper!! This book is an emotional rollercoaster, with lots of love, heartache and friendships. So get your tissues ready and enjoy the ride <3

I loved Dexter and Pepper’s story. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down, I just had to know how the book would end. It is very well written with great characters and a storyline that pulls you in early on. Highly recommended.
