Laughter in the Rain - A book to occupy the time! There was no substance snd it was quite boring. Back and forth fighting between Abby and Logan as they figure out they love each other. Abby thinks she loves Tate but that lasts a chapter before she figures out he just wants her to tutor him to read. The rest is just back snd forth who can make who feel worse. In the end...Abby and Logan end up engaged and Tate knows how to read. He has explained to Logan that it was all him who made Abby keep the secret and that it isn’t real love...moral: BORING!

Love By Degree - This story was a thousand times better than the first. A feel good love story between Ellen and Reed. Ellen takes care of a bunch of college boys in a house. Derek owns the house with his brother Reed. Reed shows up and at first argues with Ellen but they fall for each other...it’s a bunch of ups and downs. Another girl (Danielle) plays a part. You know Reed and Ellen will end up together but it’s fun to read how. Nothing earth shattering but fun and time consuming.

Two fun stories in Debbie Macomber’s warm, delightful style. I especially enjoy Macomber after reading an intense book or watching a nail biting series. These stories provided an insightful view on illiteracy and poor communication effectively. Although short, the author develops these themes well.

Enjoyed the second story more than the first. Loved Ellen's character and her relationship with the boys. Kept me hooked that i wished it was longer. The first story was kind of predictable and slightly boring as well as dumb

I was not in a good place to read romance books.
Couples don't talk.
Every small thing is blown out of proportion.
Everyone seems to just jump straight to anger.

Great characters, fun romance and easy to read. The three if those together makes a five star review. Debbie Macomber is such a great writer for love and romance.
