Solita lettura piena di suspense perché i protagonisti affrontano un pericolo dopo l'altro. E solito innamoramento rapido che porta a una proposta di matrimonio assai veloce, ma forse in America usa così visto che è anche semplice divorziare.

I fell hard for Smokey. But then, I've always had a weakness for anything chocolate and he's a chocolate lab. :-)

Love this K-9 continuity series from Love Inspired Suspense. Scene of the Crime is the sixth book and, though there is an over-arcing suspense thread that connects this story with the previous ones, there's also a standalone suspense and a romance unique to this novel. Which makes for lots of readerly satisfaction by the end.

Darcy and Jackson (and Smokey) make a great investigative team. Love that she's a forensic specialist. She's sharp and keen and wickedly observant with just enough quirks to make her interesting. Jackson is as solid and reliable as they come and he's determined to not only chase down the criminals after Darcy, but keep her safe until they are caught. There's great chemistry between this hero and heroine -- even if Smokey recognized their soulmate potential waaayyy before they did. :-)

Great action-packed suspense along with team interaction added to my page-turning frenzy. Plus there's puppies! Another stellar addition to the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series.

SCENE OF THE CRIME by Sharon Dunn is the sixth book in the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series. It’s the page turning story of Brooklyn K-9 officer Jackson Davison and his partner Smokey, a chocolate lab, as they assist and protect Darcy Fields, forensic specialist.

Jackson and Smokey are sent out on a lead called in on a possible body in the park. It doesn’t take Smokey long to find the body. After calling it in, Jackson seeing a person of interest, he leaves Smokey to guard the body and goes to investigate only to be knocked out from behind. His introduction to Darcy is when he comes to and finds her standing over him. There to collect evidence, she was the one to find him, with the help of Smokey, a distance from the deceased body.

Events start to make it apparent that someone didn’t want Darcy to do her job. The first attempt could be written off as a possible accident, but when multiple attacks on Darcy occur, it becomes evident very soon that Jackson and Smokey need to keep watch on Darcy for her own safety. Refusing to endanger her family and with nerves of steel, she is determined to stay by herself to keep them safe. She is capable of taking care of herself. Eventually though, she realizes that she needs help and another place to stay in order to keep herself alive. She finds she must turn to Jackson.

The crime scene and method of the murder is very similar to the recent case that has Reuban Bray in Riker awaiting his upcoming trial, in which Darcy will be a key witness. Are the two cases linked? Will the weapon tossed at this recent murder link the two crimes? How can it be possible when the first murderer is behind bars with enough evidence provided by Darcy that can prove him guilty? Is someone trying to discredit Darcy expertise?

Will the desire to seeing justice done and protecting the innocent have Jackson and Darcy leaning more on each other than either of them thought possible? Can they prove that the cases are connected before the trials evidence in tainted? Or will the perpetrator’s strength and strong will to do Darcy permanent harm win out?

Sharon Dunn does a fabulous job of keeping us turning pages and pulling for the good guys (and K-9) all while building a sweet romance that we can’t wait to cultivate into three special words and a true love’s kiss.

Highly recommend SCENE OF THE CRIME to anyone that loves a wonderful written Love Inspired Suspense story that will have you wanting more while giving out a sigh of satisfaction on the last page. Although part of a series, it can most definitely be read as a standalone book.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Scene of the Crime. This is book six in the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn Continuity Series. I have really enjoyed this series, probably because all of these authors are some of my favorite ones. This is no exception. Sharon does an awesome job with intrigues and suspense stories. This one is well written, fast moving, and full of action. Faith is also a major part of this book. I love that. I know you are going to love it.

K-9 Officer Jackson Davison and his partner Smokey are called to the park to recover a dead body. As they are approaching the body he's someone watching him in the brush. Leaving his dog to protect the body, he takes off after the individual. He can't tell if it's a man or a woman. His is struck over the head. He wakes up to find the forensic specialist standing over him.

Forensic Specialist Darcy Fields was at a church dress up event when she is called to the park. She finds the body but can't find the K-9 Officer. She finally get the dog to find his partner but he is down. She checks him for a concussion. When he comes too he points her to a gun that had been thrown in a trash can after he had been attacked.

A Journey to find the killer. A person out to discredit Darcy on a trial she is testifying in. Both of their lives are on the line. God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you to, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life, even in this time of crisis.

Another enjoyable book in the True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn series. Each book does have a thread to the ones before and those coming but each has it own story with a HEA ending. I love the series and the great K-9s in each story. This book was the story of Darcy and Jackson and his dog Smoky. Someone is out to kill Darcy to prevent her testifying at a trail and it is up to Jackson and Smoky to keep her safe. Darcy had a rule not to date police officers but come to realize that she cannot stick to that rule with Jackson. It is fun to learn how the K-9s have various skill sets and how they are used by their handlers. The book kept me guessing as to who was after her, why, and would Jackson and Smoky be able to save her. It was a very enjoyable book.

Action Packed

This has been an awesome series. After getting an anonymous 911 call of a body in the park. Jackson an officer with the Brooklyn K-9 unit has just arrived at the crime scene. Him and his cadaver dog Smokey. Darcy the forensic expert is on her way to the scene. This is where the two meet and where the action begins. Both have been hurt by pass relationships, neither want to put their hearts out there again. With someone taking shots at them at every turn they have no other choice but to lean on each other. Unless I missed it the author didn't clarify the relationship between Chloe and Reuben. Hince the 4 stars.

I liked it well enough, but a few things that might or might not bother other readers of the series. Much less emphasis on God, but there are a few prayers. The dog wasn't as well developed as some others. Although the author states it's a lab, she often seems to be describing a smaller dog and it doesn't seem to have a lot of lab personality traits. Lastly, the artistic license that the police would not provide security to the main forensics person who has had several attempts on her life is hard to accept as is the lack of security at the forensics lab.
Again, it is worth reading but with caveats especially if the religious aspect is important to you.

I'm sorry but I couldn't finish this book. I've been following the series but I can't get any further than chapter 4. I've found so many grammer errors and even though I'm sure the author put in a decent effort, the characters feel forced and 2 dimensional. Their conversations are stilted and don't feel natural. I hate giving up on a book but I just couldn't finish. I'm sure others love the story but I just couldn't do it.

Police K-9 Suspense
This book is part of a series but can be read alone. It is a powerful police suspense that will keep you turning pages. The plot is tight with lots of police action and K-9s doing their jobs. It is a clean story with little blood, no gore, and no sex. There is a budding romance entwined in the story, but it makes the story richer. This is a great series that has been fun to read!

Darcy Fields is a forensic specialist working in Brooklyn. She is getting ready to testify in a murder trial when she suddenly finds that she is now a target. She is being hounded by the press about both the older murder as well as a new murder and now she is being stalked by a killer. She has got to depend on Officer Jackson Davison and his K-9 partner, Smokey, to protect her so that she can testify at the trial.

Testifying is proving to be high risk when forensic specialist Darcy Fields finds herself to be a target from an unknown attacker. As the trial looms closer and as attacks become more frequent K-9 officer Jackson Dawson and his K-9 Smokey comes to her rescue as well as be her protector. It’s a race to get her safely to the trial and Jackson is up to the task.

Keep the Faith

Getting ready for the trail has everyone nervous , especially since a Police Person was to testify. Keeping them from showing up was a hard job. Faith in her Fellow Officers and especially one who led a K9, kept her alive and well so she could use her Voice to show the Truth.

No. I took a chance on this new to me author but it’s a no from me. I didn’t finish it. Too many glaring grammatical errors and just too over the top. I enjoy lots of action but this was just ridiculous. Too much. Not sure if all her books are like this but if this is a good representation of her work, I’m out.

I actually rounded up to a 3.0 rating. I liked the story and the characters. The major drawback for me was the faulty proofreading. There were words missing or in the wrong place and that distracted from the flow of the story.

True Blue K-9 has been a wonderful series.

Each book is just as good as the ones before them. I hope to read others that are as interesting as the K-9 books. I read a couple out of order but it was still great reading.

Love the true blue k-9 unit stories. They are fast moving and keep you on the set of your chair. Also nice to read a story with references to God and seeing people praying for God's help, something we all need!

Forensic specialist Darcy Fields is scheduled to testify in a murder case. So of course someone's trying to discredit her and kill her, and the stalker is ready to take out her protector Jackson Davison and his trust K-9 partner Smokey. Very exciting story.

A sit on the edge of your seat story!

Suspense all the way through! Darcy is one tough lady! Jackson was just more than a friend, even when he thought he was just protecting her. One of the best True Blue K-9 books.

Attention keeper

This book kept my attention from beginning to end. I am happy that this book, and series, can show both good, and evil, with the focus being that the good persevered and faith in God, keeps things true, and just.
