Rate this book
After the fall of the great kingdom, the land was thrown into chaos and darkness. The great dragon’s reign had not begun, but all could tell it was forthcoming, for the dragon had claimed his victory. Mors was the great evil that resided in Overa and had taken the kingdom of man and dwarf, killing the king and leaving the young prince with no father to raise him. Mors believed he had ended the royal line of men for good. Yet, the dragon did not know what would come for him many years later just as he was about to return to the world from his rest.Peter was chosen by his friend, Threi, to one day kill the dragon and help the prince reclaim the kingdom. To most, the prince was thought dead and the race of man and dwarf placed in despair and at the mercy of other races. Yet, Threi and his friends knew better as the prince was very much alive, having told Threi to find a dragon slayer to kill Mors and reclaim the kingdom. Peter was told these stories since he was very young and believed every word of his friend, not knowing the full truth behind the words. With their friends, the company travels east towards the great kingdom to slay the dragon and return the prince to his throne. Yet, along the way they encounter many obstacles and dangers that will challenge them in their quest. From the many elven races that have despised men since the kingdom’s time, to the mysterious plant people of old, and finally to the wolf-men of the east, who hate men almost as much as the dragon himself. They will meet the general of the wolf-men armies, Wufenra, who has a message from his king, Fenris, demanding the surrender of all lands to the west, otherwise war will come.Peter has been told of his destiny and what he must do to not only help the prince, but the entire races of man and dwarf. The world is out of balance without the two races in power and the dragon has caused it. Yet, Peter will learn that not only is the dragon too great a foe for him to face alone, but that his friend, Threi, has kept hidden a startling truth. Many adventures await the young man on his journey through the world of Overa, and all will challenge him to the fullest. But at the end of the journey will come the greatest test of all. Mors despises men with the greatest hatred and has longed for the day to end the young prince after he was taken and spared from the dragon’s rampage. He wishes to extinguish the royal line of man and to see the end of men as a dominant race, as they have been the only peoples to stand against the dragons. Will Peter be able to defeat his legendary foe, or will the dragon’s malice consume the land? A tale of friendship, courage, brotherhood, adventure awaits all who read this tale. With dragons, elves, battles, secrets, and many other exciting truths to be discovered. Will good triumph over darkness? Or will the dragon’s evil seep into the land and finally claim dominion over it for his kind. Will the wolf-man king, Fenris, claim the lives of the westerner’s as he has proclaimed? Only time will tell.
