I'm Alley. I'm an Indie author and I write Contemporary/New Adult, Rom-Com, Sports Romances with fierce heroines and their swoony Alpha partners with heart. There's a heavy dose of witty banter and sarcasm in my characters.

I'm a stay at home mom to 3 amazing and crazy minis all under 4yo, a 95lb lab, and let's face it on some days my hubby is my 4th kids... But to be fair I totally love him a a lot. When I'm not corralling my crazy minis I can be found writing the stories the voices in my head tell me at naptime and when the rest of my house goes to sleep at night.

I'm a complete romance junkie. Pizza and mac and cheese are major food groups to me.

It's no secret I love all things Covenettes. They are such an awesome group of friends and family. But I have this issue that once I pick up one of these books I am so completely immersed in their world which is great except for my damn family being so needy and trying to talk to me.

I was so excited to get Jase's book. I feel like he has been so firmly entwined in the previous stories while still being in the background. But he's one of those larger than life characters that stood out even as a secondary character. And let's be honest the Covenettes have these boys well trained so you know they are going to give good boyfriend. And Jase did for the most part.

Melody was a great introduction to the Covenettes along with her two besties. And I love that although the group is pretty incestuous they just keep getting bigger and picking up awesome new members. Mels was absolutely beautiful.

Now I'm going to be honest. I saw that drama coming from their first introduction but even so it didn't take a damn thing away from it. Except for the chapter or two where I wanted to give Jase a swift kick in the boys. But he came back to his senses beautifully and the conclusion was perfect.

I am so excited to get Maddey's story next. I am not excited to wait until June for it. But I know it's going to be well worth the wait because she is so kick arse plus she has all the words. And the whole stalker angle combined with the seal family business and the Covenettes guarantee this is going to be action packed and amazeballs and I really can't wait.

Pucking Fantastic!

Oh Alley Ciz, I bow down to your evil genius.

Here you go again putting my heart through the motions.

Jake, Gage, Vince, and now Jase!? WHEW. Just how is a girl to choose??

I know I say this every time I’m introduced to a new guy but hot zayum, Jase takes the cake and I’m not so sure he can be topped (Sorry, not sorry DL Gallie). I have two words for you: TONGUE RING, nuff said!

This story...I mean where do I start? It’s like coming home.
The texts, the Coven conversations, Melody’s inner monologues, THE POTATOES (insider)...I literally laughed out loud too many times to count. There were so many times this story put the biggest smile on my face. Then there’s the secret and boy does Ciz keep you hanging on by a nail biting thread wondering what Melody’s secret is and when it drops so does my jaw. I had my theory but I never saw that coming! Alley Ciz had to turn me ragey for just a second or two but what’s a good book without a rage moment right?? That ending only leaves me salivating for more! Let’s just go ahead and skip to June shall we. I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

The humour, the steam, the storyline... this book is BRILLIANT!
Not only do you get to see all of your fave characters again, but we are introduced to more too. This world just keeps getting better and better. Where is BTU? I need to go!

5/5 Stars 🌟

20200209-164054

This is book 4 in the BTU Alumni Series. This story can be read as a standalone or if you want to get the full BTU experience it is highly reccomended to read the books in order.

Jason 'Jase' Donnelly is a sexy as puck NHL hockey player for The Storm who one night meets Melody a gorgeous pink haired Broadway star who he instantly becomes enamoured with only problem is she just so happens to be a Bruisers fan, his rival team and wants nothing to do with him or the reputation she's heard about. With the help of Melody's best friends he starts persuing her in the hopes that she will fall for his charm

Jase was such a funny, witty, sexy, cocky yet smooth and charming character and I loved him so much even when his insecurities and vulnerabilities broke my heart at times. I loved how determined and caring he was and how much he truly loved all the crazy and fun people in his life and boy does he have a lot of them. Melody was feisty, sassy, sweet, fun loving and slightly gaurded at first while holding on to a secret that could change the way Jase feels about her

I LOVED this book so much. The banter was on point. The chemisty was on fire. And the story so pucking good. Once I started I couldn't stop reading and can't wait for the next story in this series

If you love a good sport romance this book/series is a must read

"Everything about Jase Donnelly just...consumes me." says Melody Brightly

YESSSS!!! YESSSSSS GIRL!
From the very first moment I read Power Play, I have loved Jase; EVERYTHING about him!
So when this baby hit my kindle I felt like a giddy kid... who got more chocolate than fruit on Christmas morning. It's an unhealthy obsession, I get that but I just don't care.
In case my ramblings need any translations...JASE DONNELLY IS MINE!

ON a serious note!
2 important things!
The sexy times and the crying!
Puck Perfomance definitely had an abundance of hot steamy moments with my man AND also Alley Ciz made me cry! We already know I was so dedicated to Jase before I read the first word but by the time the crying part hit I was already completely emotionally invested that I'm pretty sure I felt the pain physically. Jase and Melody are hands down my favorite BTU couple, which is difficult to say because I actually love them all. I just loved everything, who they are, their dreams and the way they support each other, their little potato jokes...I'll never EVER be able to look at Mr & Mrs Potato Head again without thinking of them!

The BTU crew is one of my favorite crews in the book world; the closeness they have with each other is something we all often wish we could have kept with our own crews from college or HS...or maybe just life in general. This crew doesn't let distance or time keep them from being part of each others way in any way they can. For both the small and big moments in life; they are each others lifelines and the way they welcome others into their fold is truly incredible.

I have to say this last little thing. I've said it in past reviews but I'll keep saying it because I feel it's very important. I constantly see growth in this author's writing, sometimes it's the little things and sometimes it's a big thing but growth is growth! Growth as an author or any type of creative soul is an amazing thing to experience.

One thing is clear. I never stood a chance against Jase Donnelly.”

Ain’t that the truth! Jase Donnelly shocked the hell out of me. I wasn’t expecting his humour, his passion and his damn filthy mouth! Gahhhhh Jase was just perfect and I love him.

I was seconds away from taking you right there.

Puck Performance is part of the BTU series and can be read as a stand alone but for ultimate enjoyment you should read from the start of the series.

Melody Brightly, the broadway star with a secret. Alley weaves an intricate web of lies and deceit that when the bomb drops I was like HOLY FUCKING SHIT
I didn’t see it coming at all and I was shooketh. I knew straight away that it was going to make Jase and Melody’s journey to their HEA a lot harder. Cue the tears!

I love her but I don’t deserve her.

Make you sure you are ready for all of the emotions. I didn’t know whether I was coming or going with this book! One minute I was laughing my ass off, then I was horny as hell and then I was sobbing my heart out.

Puck Performance isn’t just a sports romance. It isn’t just a hockey romance. It isn’t just your typical romance. It will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that you aren’t ready for but that you won’t be able to put down!

Pick up Puck Performance today!

What a Pucking great read!! I loved Jase and Melody’s story! Let’s discuss the writing for a moment; Alley Ciz is one of only a few authors that can get me to read a book in the third person and love it…well, this book is in the first person with dual POV and she nailed it! The story flowed beautifully with lots of laugh out loud moments and some hot, steamy, swoon worthy moments.

To finally see Jase fall in love was everything! He met his match with Melody. Jase is his usual charming, eye-rolling self that you just have to love. I fell in love with Melody just as much as Jase and the rest of the Coven did.

I loved this series and ALL these characters. I fall in love a little more with each of them after every book but Gage is still my favorite. They are witty, funny, sarcastic and downright the best! This book can be read as a standalone but then you’d miss out on so much greatness. Go read them all!

One last note… I can’t look at Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head the same… read the story, you’ll understand why.

The infinite, geniune, absolutely undeniable love residing inside this book, pours right out of its pages and pulls at all of your heart strings.

And I´m not only speaking of Jase and Melody, I'm talking about every single character you get introduced to.

This is one of the many reasons I keep coming back for more of Alley Ciz's books.

The close connection between this slighty crazy, beyond hilarious, always caring and sometimes overly insightful group of people is out of this world.

Every new release feels like a family reunion gone awry... in the best way possible.

All that being said, I have to confess this is probably my favorite book yet. I only say "probably" because so far I've atributed the first place to "Tap Out" and let's face it, it's kinda tough to compete against Gage... and Rocky, of course.

But now, my heart's divided.
Who would've known Mr. Jase Donnelly would soon give the fighter a run for his money?
You won't see me complaining though...
Let's just give them both the prize and call it a tie.

Jase has definitely surprised me with his sweet, romantic side and has lured me further in with his goofy, carefree demeanor - not really a shock there.

I love how determined he is to get the girl and, just as an aside, can we talk about how fiercly protective he is of his other half, Jordan? Urgh, talk about warm, fuzzy feelings. He's so freaking swoony.

Melody holds her own for some time - resisting Jase's advances - gotta give her that, but even she knew she never really stood much of a chance.

And Zoey and Ella? I need more of these in the future, just putting it out there.

What about this Coven everyone both dreads and can't live without?
These girls are fierce and I absolutely love every tidbit I get to read about them. Also, let's face it: the boys' group chat can be just has Coven-y, scatterbrained, ballbusting and hilarious as its female counterpart.

To say that I'm excited for the next book would be a huge understatement, since I believe something I've being really anticipating it's finally coming my way, and no, I'm not talking about Tucker. Yet.

All there's left for me to do now is wait and I'll be doing just that - I'll be here, not so patiently waiting.

Puck Performance is everything you could ask for in a sports romance! Not only do you get all the action and athletics you expect from the genre, but author Alley Ciz effortlessly delivers humor, conflict, angst, squad goals, AND the romance and delicious heat you crave. Puck Performance will have you laughing, swooning, ready to throw your kindle, and enjoying the burn.

If you enjoy a book that makes you laugh, wanna cry, and a book hangover you'll feel for days, then the BTU series by Alley Ciz is absolutely the read for you!

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I beta read this book for Alley and I loved everything second of it. I've been crazy about Jase from power play and then I became even more obessed in Rocky book. I just love Jase very much and I knew the girl who would steal his heart had to be to my liking. Jase is one amazing incredible guy. I also kind of sort of fell for Natry I know it's crazy but it happened. I hope he gets a story as well. I can't wait to see who's next. Alley your amazing!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS

OH MY STARS… Alley did not PUCK around with the fourth book in the BTU Alumni series. She brought her A-game when writing Jase and Melody's story. If you've read the other books in her series you'll know that she definitely needed to bring a female in that can handle Jase, as well as be fierce enough to handle the Coven and all their cray-cray. Melody seamlessly joined the rest of the amazing BTU ladies and brought along some of her own crazy ladies. I'm so loved reading how Jase's story unfolded and how he was brought to his knees by Melody.

This may be the fourth book in the BTU Alumni series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. Puck Performance by Alley Ciz is a PUCKIN' EPIC read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

And another one down, another one down, another one bites the dust!! Ever so cocky Jase had met his match in the form of a beautiful pink haired sassy girl. I am so in love with these characters (all of them) & the friendly banter is perfect! Jase, the guy we think will forever be the bachelor sure can be charming & selfless when he chooses to. The chemistry, the flirting, the beautifully written love story was perfect. I just can’t get enough of them all, but is was so entertaining to read the fall of the very cocky Jase. I wasn’t ready for the story to end, yet I never am with this author & her wonderfully written characters!! Alley is becoming one of my top 3 rom com authors!!

I highly recommend this book. Told in dual POV.

Standing Ovation for Alley Ciz in Puck Performance.
We met Jase in the very first BTU alumni novel and I fell in love with his protectiveness from the start. He named the Coven and is the twin brother of the OG convenette, but even he's not safe from the coven conversations. This book held me captive from the moment I read the prologue. When Alley hinted at a secret Melody was keeping, I couldn't stop reading and I had to know. With that in mind, I read through this book in one day. Along my journey of discovering the secret, I fell head over heels for Jase Donnelly. He is the hero I have been waiting for. He is a potato loving man after my own heart. He has a heart the size of Texas and loves fiercely.
The text conversations are usually my least favorite part of a book. But reading them and watching these two insanely busy people fall in love over text and phone calls always brought me laughter and tears of happiness. They are so well written and loving and remind you that you can fall in love in all kinds of ways. I have loved all of Alley's men and Jase was no different. I want him all to myself. Alley has a way with writing book boyfriends that makes you wish they were real. This book was so real and heartwarming even in the hard parts. The twist is the greatest thing I ever read, and Alley wrote the feelings as real as possible. The breadcrumbs this story leaves behind as well as the perfect writing had me sending all the shouty capitals to Alley. She knocked it out of the park again and has me waiting very, very impatiently for the next book in this wonderful series.

I was honoured to get an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review. This is part of a series, and you can read this as a stand alone but you will get more enjoyment from the characters if you have read - Power Play, Tap Out & Sweet Victory.

Wow! If I could give this more than 5🌟 I would! Alley Ciz just keeps knocking these hits into the back of the Ice Hockey net!

As soon as you start reading this book you'll be laughing because Alley's characters have an amazing flair for insults that will have you crying with laughter! My personal favourite has to be 't₩♡t waffles'. I love how Alley Ciz has mastered putting social media in a book including GIFS!!!

Jason Richard Donnelly aka Big Hammer, 'Jase' & All Star is a member of the Storm Ice Hockey Team who also rocks a barbell tongue piercing!

Melody Brightly aka Broadway Baby & Sweet Potato! As the name suggests she is a Broadway actress who has only a group of 3 cheerleaders in her support network until one evening out when she crashes into Jase Donnelly.

As big as Jase is one thing still remains the same he is not ashamed to say that the Coven rule and you don't upset them as they are always willing to hand your bu#t to you!!

You will experience all the emotions along with all the characters on this rollercoaster ride of Jase's & Melody's story.

After reading this book, you will never look at a certain vegetable and a childs toy the same way! I loved this book so much.

Good gosh I love this series! The friendships among this tribe are second to none which just adds to the story of Jase and Melody. Jase is an over grown kid one minute and an alpha male the next and I couldn’t love him more. A hockey player and a Broadway actress shouldn’t work but they absolutely do. I love Jase and Melody more than potatoes....and that’s saying a lot (you’ll get the potato reference once you read the book)

I swear each of Alley’s books has been my favorite, until I read her next one. But, Jase and Melody will be nearly impossible to match let alone top. Jase has been swoon worthy since he was introduced in Power Play- as a big brother he was just amazing, then in Tap Out he was an amazing bestie. I worried whether I anyone was going to be enough to deserve this special guy. The heroine He falls in love with is just so perfect. She’s strong, sarcastic, yet sweet and vulnerable at times too.

Melody is the perfect march for Jase and their love story is both romantic, funny, heartbreaking,
And epic! I was so lucky to receive an ARC of this book and don’t want to spoil anything about this story...so hurry up and grab this book and enjoy the cast of characters that make up the BTU family!!

Another fantastic addition to the BTU series by Alley! I absolutely loved Jase and Melody. I had a big smile on my face as I was reading this book and a very late night as I just couldn't put it down! The text conversations always make me laugh so much! Now I loved Jase but at one point in the book I was not happy with him but thankfully he redeemed himself pretty quickly! I loved the addition of the new characters and it's always fun catching up with the crew. Really looking forward to the next in the series!

Alley Ciz has done it again! BTU #4 is now my favorite of the BTU series!! I absolutely love Jase & Melody’s story. From the beginning it captured my attention & had me hook, line & sinker the entire way through. It had me laughing & swooning throughout the whole book. I’m already so excited to read #5 but Jase & Melody are going to be hard to beat; but then again, it’s Alley! ;)

OMG! I am completely in love with this book! This is officially my favorite book by Alley Ciz so far! The story was perfection!

Melody Brightly is an actress on Broadway! She has pink hair (twinsies)! She’s also a huge fan of hockey. Jase Donnelly is a a hot motherpucker, a hockey player and a smooth talker with a tongue ring! *Swoon*

Alley seriously rocked this book. I laughed so many times! I think the Coven messages are my fav. Every time I think one of Alley’s guys are my favorite, she hits me with the next. I’m just going to start my own Reverse Harem of all Alley’s guys. They are all soooo swoon worthy!!! And these women are tough and know how to get shit done! I can’t wait to see what Alley comes up with next!

I have been waiting for my man Jase's book and Alley did not disappoint with Puck Performance.
It is an amazing read, it had me engrossed from page one and she kept me guessing with what the big secret was and when it was revealed, I was shocked but in a good way.
As usual, the covenettes steal the show with their text messages and antics, leaving you laughing and shaking your head with what they get up to. Actually, the whole BTU gang do this. I seriously want to be friends with these guys in real life.
Puck Performance is the best in the series yet but Alley needs to remember that Melody is really spelt D-A-N-A

Completely OVER THE TOP. Not my thing at all.

The group name (The Coven) thing just sounded stupid to me and kind of childish.

Too many characters.

I found the text messages annoying. It felt like a third or half the book was text messages.

*i’m completely in the minority here. Maybe i’m Just getting too old for books without actual substance.

Singing, Dancing and... Potatoes?

Alley, Alley, Alley.
*inserts slow head shake*

You just had to introduce a new covenette that I now love more than the rest? I didn't think it was possible!

Jace sure had his work cut out for him. Mels was never going to make it easy on him! But their willingness to fight for each other = HEA.

The perfect balance of Humour, Drama and cheesy *swoonworthy* romance (and potatoes!), this is quite possibly my favourite btu book so far.

Now to add to the list... I will also need stories for Nate, Zoey and Ella. Gimme all the words!

I love when a book is fun to read. I smile from the first page until the end of the last page. I laugh out loud more than once and occasionally get questioned by my hubby about what has that look on my face. Pure entertainment is that look on my face!
Puck Performance is the fourth book in the BTU Alumni series. I loved the first three books in this series. I’ve ended each book thinking it can’t get any better. They are each fantastically entertaining, but this book just surpassed them. I loved the slow burn of this book. You could feel the tension building like it was a living, breathing thing and then it would get popped by the funniest, most sarcastic group of friends & family that I could ever wish to be a part of.
The romance was so hot.
The hero & heroine were so swoony & so sassy!
The friendships were so funny & so loyal.
The families were so loving.
This book was a 5 star must read!

Book 4 in the BTU Alumni series and a great addition to the series. Jase and Melody were so good together. The chemistry and attraction that was between them was so intense. It was so much fun getting able to catch back up with the Coven. Loved this story and with each book, you are always able to find a great guy to fall in love with just like the heroines do. You are never disappointed when you are finished with this story. I can’t wait to see what is next for the BTU group.

Well “ Puck Me” ..... Alley Ciz just gets steamier, more whitty, and has converted me into a Ice Hockey follower.
I’m just under a year and 4 books later, I feel like I have a new family in the BTU series.
This time it’s about Jase Donnelly the other half of the Donnelly twins, smart funny, plays defence fir his team and nit afraid of a bit of biff on the ice and instagram arguing with the opposition players
Then he see’s a flash of pink hair belonging to a young woman in the oppositions jumper and life as he knows it is over.
This tongue piercing bad boy knows what he wants and it is Melody Brightly.
Alley makes you giggle and takes you through the love adventure of these two , with all our favourite characters and the girls in “ The Coven”.
Everyone has something to say, and privacy is not a word they embrace lol
Once again Alley throws us a tit bit of what’s coming next in the BTU story, just enough to perk your interest.
Picking amazing 😉 🏒 💓

Alley truly out did herself with this book and I will say in my opinion that it is the best one yet and each book in this series gets better and better. Puck Performance is book number 4 in the BTU World and it is about a sexy hockey player and a Broadway super star. We meet Jase and Melody briefly in the bonus epilogue of Sweet Victory which is Vince and Holly's story. Jase Donnelly is a defensive NHL hockey player for the Storm and Melody is a Broadway super star in her own way but yet she has a secret that she keeps to herself (if I told you secret I would ruin the book for you). These two happen to meet one night in bar she completely blows Jase off because of his player ways and when she goes to the bathroom her two best friends give Jase her number and they start communicating via text massages which are down right funny and mention Jase's love for potatoes and there are plenty of Broadway jokes. Melody begins to navigate her way through on how to manage her relationship with Jase, his friends, and The Coven which is lead by Jases's twin sister Jordan (you will have to read the first 3 books in series to find out who these amazing chicks are that keep there men in line). The romance between these two is off the charts but yet it has its ups and downs and it doesn't help that she is keeping a huge secret from Jase. Stanley Cup,Tony awards, secrets (Melody's and we finally learn why Nate Bishop and Jase hate each other), friends and family drama. The emotions that you feel when reading will make you feel like you are riding a roller coaster . This book truly deserves more than a 5 star rating.

I received an arc for a honest review.

Jase Donnelly is one Hot Potato! A Pure Puck Romance!

This is a Five Star Romance as it has all the makings for a perfect recipe.  Recipe includes: all the feels, slow romance, steamy hot hockey player, beautiful and talented Broadway star, crazy nutty friends. I absolutely love this book! From the moment Jase Donnelly meets firecracker Melody Brightly the smoldering tension in the air is enough to melt the ice. This book made me laugh out loud, cry a little, and most certainly made me fall in love with a cast of characters.  Alley Ciz is one of my favorite new authors, she has made me a huge fan because this book is AMAZING!

And yet another man has bowed down to the Coven.

Alley Ciz has done it again with Puck Performance, the fourth in the BTU series.

What I loved:

Jase Donnelly. This man is ridiculous in all the best ways. From his humor, his sarcasm, his never-ending wit, his persistence, and his stubbornness. I loved everything about him. Especially the tongue ring, because… duh.

Melody Brightly. I love that she is strong, opinionated, and can keep up with the crazy of the Coven and the family.

The inside jokes. The potatoes. The humor. This is rom-com done right, with just enough angst and mystery to keep you turning the pages for more.

What I hated:

Nothing really. I would have like to know a little more about Melody’s family history, because of how it plays such an impact in her personality and interactions, but the book progresses smoothly even without it.

Recommendation:

Five-stars for this book. You need to add this to your one-click list.

And as always from my reviews, my top quotes of the book:

“This. This right here is why I tried to keep my distance. Everything about Jase Donnelly just… consumes me.”

“I will find out if she tastes as good as she smells, but if I learned anything from book club, it’s that chicks can’t resist a slow burn. I’ll take this so slow we’ll burn like incense.”

“I knew we had chemistry; it boiled between us all night. But this… this isn’t a kiss. It’s ruination.”

“God he hits me with the razzle-dazzle.”
