"To become a successful politician, you need to be a good actor.
To become a successful actor, you need to be a good politician.
To become a successful bureaucrats, you need to be both."
No one can negate above as it immerges from a mind of IAS officer of Batch 2011, presently working as The Director, Tamilnadu Institute of Urban Affairs, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The book is straight from an insider and can be considered as 'whistle blower'. It exposes deep nexus of corrupt bureaucrats, politicians and business tycoons.
Bureaucrats, brains of India, if become corrupt then nothing can stop disintegration of a nation. However, miraculously, there will be always few handful honest officers, like main character Vikram, who dares to fight the monster, even if he has to sacrifice everything. The nation is still breathing may be due to those brave hearts of the soil.
Nothing to say about plot of the book as it is already addressed in the blurb. Flow is fantastic and makes the book lucid and irresistible. The author puts romance, thriller, science fiction, future weaponry, sorrow, heroism to produce a fantastic cuisine. However, the transition from chapter to chapter could be made smooth by avoiding sudden change of scenario, characters and situation. All ingredients are there to make it fit for Bollywood and Tollywood.
Though it is a book of fictional category, but the book which exposes reality, can it be called a work of fiction? Only readers can decide.
