The story of how I came to read this book is curious. I forgot my book at home yesterday (*gasp*) leaving me nothing to read at lunch! Sadly I settled into lunch without a book, and then I thought of it...here I am in an elementary school...there are books here! And so I found Kemi, published in 1966, non-existent on goodreads (until I added it myself yesterday), and I read it and it was good historical fiction. The book had a big "discard" stamp inside the cover, so I decided to try it. Kemi was well written, creative and informative. I doubt you'd have an easy time finding this book on purpose, but if you happen to come across it in your travels, I say read it!
