Good, but could be better. There is ZERO information as to how much things cost. This is very important because tour companies will take advantage of your lack of knowledge and tell you that the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel tickets cost much more in actuality if you wait in line. There should be a breakdown of the best tour groups to go with and the actual ticket price info or at least where to find the relevant information accurately online. It's actually quite difficult to find the actual information because there are so many 3rd party websites.

This was my biggest problem with this book. I recommend the Fordors 25 Best series instead.

Rome is most definitely a city that must be walked. With chaotic buses, tiny streets, and basically mazes everywhere, some direction is required.

This is a great guide book style. There are useful maps and a variety of itineraries based on time constraints, age (young children), neighborhood, and interests. There are some great details on structures, such as the best obelisks, as well as night life.

Highly recommended.

Preparing for our next trip. Pretty sure, based on our last trip, opening times for churches aren't completely accurate. San Clemente closes for several hours in the middle of the day. So we'll need a new Eyewitness Guide too.

Molto bello! Fa riscoprire Roma ancora così come non l'avevo ancora vista. Mi piacciono anche molto il formato e tante belle foto! Lo consiglio a chiunque volesse prendere il meglio da Roma, ma non ama quando sulle guide c'è scritto troppo lungo!
