In this episode of Cliché, Calvin wakes in an abandoned hospital, where he will have to do battle with a horde of…zombies? With fragments of Calvin's memory slowly returning, Angela doesn't know whether to be worried or pleased. After all, her prized "pony" keeps beating the odds. But if he regains his memory... A native of the Philadelphia area, Jeff has published multiple works in both fiction and non-fiction. In 2011 he was the recipient of the Red Adept Reviews Indie Award for Horror.
In March of 2014, his novel BAD GAMES was a #1 Kindle bestseller and is now being optioned as a feature film.

Well that was frustrating. Yes it was another good story, again a little short for my liking, but I do like the books. I hope to god another one is being written as I type this.
As per the others, this story follows straight on from the previous. We have the same characters and the same premise but this time a different cliché to play with: what could make this book weirder/better? A zombie apocalypse that’s what, and that’s what we got.
So yes this is more fighting with more blood and gore, nothing over the top just good bloody fun and more humour with it but there is also a mystery running throughout these last 3 books, and I’m still not certain at the end who is behind it all or why.
I’ve enjoyed all of the books in the series and sad to say this is the last one for now, I’m not sure where the story would go from here as the formula would have to change again but if I do get a chance to read about Calvin again I will be there with bells on.
I’m really rooting for Calvin to get his memories back and fight his way out of the stable. And who is the mystery man with the scar? Hopefully the author won’t leave us waiting too long to find out.
I love this series and I have read absolutely everything Jeff Menapace has written. I am going to complain right now that the next episode of “Cliché” better be around the corner because my OCD kicked in waiting for this to become a reality and I don’t think I can handle the suspense. What makes this series even better is that you can tell Menapace is a horror fanboy. Calvin is an awesome tragic hero who wins as he loses, while Angela is just that evil, manipulative, sexy villain we all love to hate. Still, we can’t wait for them to connect again. And, maybe...just maybe... Calvin will finally get the upper hand. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
After enjoying Numb I was excited to read these next instalments of Calvins journey and I’m glad I did, really enjoyed all three and hope there will be more from this series in the future
A mystery is brewing on why the person who is trying to awaken Calvin is doing so. He knows too much about Calvin and his deeper connection to Angela. Calvin is also starting to remember more of his past and is coming on to The Track knowing that he is being watched (At least when he is on set in a cliche). Calvin turned into a real action star here. It sucked when i finished because it was so short and i wanted more and i have no idea if or when Jeff is going to write an episode 4. Plus, It ended on a good cliffhanger. I need some more scenes of Calvin and Angela together.
Also, The Track needs to hire better actors, they break character in a snap. However, when it's a possibility i could be killed i would, too.
Just like the first couple of episodes, this one did not disappoint. I’m excited to read the next episode. Everything I’ve read by Jeff Menapace has been beautifully twisted and horrifying! For me his writing rates right up there with King and Koontz. Highly suggest his works if you haven’t experienced them!
The third of 3 short stories following on from 'Numb' though I'm not sure why they are all separate books. The writing & storyline is excellent, as expected from Jeff Menapace, violent & fast moving. I really hope there is going to be a 4th 'Cliche' as I want the story to end so that I'm not left in limbo about what happens to all the characters.
I can't wait until the next book! Each one keeps getting better and better. I'm loving the interactions at The Track and I'm genuinely curious why someone wants Calvin's memories to return. Bring on Cliché 4!
Jeff Menapace has quite the talent for writing easy to read, fast paced thrillers and short stories. In this third installment of the Cliche series, Calvin continues to defy the odds as he is entered into another perilous event in the Track. This time... Zombies rise.
