About the author

Octavia Grant discovered her passion for creative writing in 2002 during her junior year at Georgetown High School in Georgetown, South Carolina. Well that took a turn.. I had no idea this story would play out this way! First Lady Patrice Mahoney was the sole example of a good, loyal and faithful woman. Married to a judged she her daughters have lived in the prestige and luxury. When Patrice catches her husband in a compromising position, she completely does a complete 360 & begins to act very reckless! Her devious & conniving ways end up hurting the one person she should never harm, her eldest daughter. The amount of drama & secrets revealed will have your mind spinning! A must read

Chile! Whew Chile

Patrice (Trice) is one crazy psycho bitch! She had a white husband Adam a judge. Two daughters Melrose & Raven! Caught husband sleeping with his ex Kam. Daughter Mel just happen to get engaged to the son from the ex-boyfriend and Bestfriend that betrayed her in high school-Tremaine and Desiree. After seeing them at dinner all the old hate surface and she turned straight hoe. She started messing with Tre and the son. Got pregnant by her daughters fiancée. Gave that baby up to the ex befriend. Then started fucking her daughter new dude/Bestfriend Corey the police. Thought she was hiding everything but her daughters were on to her and set that ass up. 20 years in jail. Good for her ass!

Wow!!! What a book?! That was by far one of the best books I’ve read in a long time! First Lady was looney tunes sand a sex addict! I can’t believe she betrayed her kids and hubby like that! Hubby on the other hand couldn’t get enough of Kam and First Lady couldn’t get enough of her oldest daughter’s boyfriends/hubby. Ray was funny. I like her and Mel’s personality. They are really close. Karma’s a bitch and First Lady got it!!! Wow!!!

So I stared this at nine after dinner. I have never read thru a book the way I did this one. Never. This has everything drama, scandal, sex and intriguing. You will never guess what I happening or about to happen. Going to get a glass of wine

WOOOOOOOOOW talk about pure ratchetness😱😱 I didn’t even realize this was 3 part series. I was like there’s more??????? So book 1&2 chefs kiss and book 3 was a closing story so I was kind of over it felt like a drag. I cannot believe Patricia she is a lunatic!!!!! The fiancé and his daddy whew chile. I really have no words! How could a mother do something like this to her own daughter????? JUST AS IT GOT BETTER IT GOT WAYYYY WORSE.

I feel like this book really brought me back to life. I love reading about the chaotic mess that would never happen in my real life

Talking about Scandal

There was so many twist and turns in this plot. I don’t know where to begin. I feel like Trice deserved everything she got. I don’t understand why she hurt her daughter Mel so much. Seems as if she wants to be Mel so much she tried to hurt her in any way she could. What mother does that? This was such a great read. Octavia Grant is becoming one of my favorite authors. Her mind is so twisted lol but I love it!

What did I just read?!

This book was the most nauseating book I’ve ever read! How can a mother do that to her child? But I knew it I know it I knew it I knew she was being set up but didn’t know exactly who and how it would unfold. Especially when Corey whispered in Melrose ear knew that they were aware that Trice was in the house.
The daughters played it off real good!

The only part I thought was corny was the author’s appearance at the end.

This was a good read. Had me shouting and talking to myself outloud. I was still hoping for the best for Trice through book 2. Thinking she just needs counseling. By book 3 I couldn't feel sorry for her. I recommend this book to anyone who likes urban fiction with good storyline without violence and hood aspect.

This chick was out of her mind! Yeah, after 18 years of being submissive, and doing the proper things, a far off chance of reuniting with the troublesome duo that you ran away from all that time ago came to fruition. Hard to put down!!!!

It’s been soooo long since I read a book as addictive as this! I could not put it down and just wanted more and more. I can’t count how many times my jaw dropped. Octavia is my new favorite author and I can’t wait to read her entire catalog. I need more series books. This was too much in the best way.

Pregnant by my son in law

I liked the sex part and how at the age she was still able to hold her own.
I disliked the fact she became so whorish and slept with so many men in a short time. But to sleep with her son in law was horrible.

Listen….Octavia “Unhinged” Grant will always deliver! This book was soooo good. My jaw was on the floor the ENTIRE time

First Lady Patrice had it all great daughters, husband and life. But seeing her husband with another woman changed everything. It woke up something inside of her that she just couldn’t turn off.

It’s one thing to betray your husband but it’s a whole different thing when you betray your kids…

Revenge overload

I loved the relationship Patrice had with her girls. Actually, it seemed like the ideal family. The family dynamics were so realistic. There were so many loving, funny, true to life moments. When Mel had her baby, I died with laughter. But when everything came crashing down, I hated Patrice. She turned into a jealous, manipulative, conniving snake-tongued sex fiend that was out to get everybody, including her own daughter. Granted, her husband was no angel and it was his actions that sent Patrice over the edge. But how could she sink so low? She got just what she deserved in the end, not appreciating the second chance she was given. That ending was quite the shocker, even though it wasn't entirely believable. I liked how the author inserted herself into the story.
Good read, but Ms Grant truly needs to invest in a good editor.

OMG!

Ratchedness at its best. The deceit, lies and drama playing Ed throughout this book. Trice was out there and really alienated everyone from her with her deceit. I cannot believe how jealous she was of her own daughter and that she would do the things that she did with her daughter’s boyfriend. Karma came back on her with a vengeance. Adam got on my nerves also because he couldn’t feign innocent when he had been with Kam throughout their entire marriage. I was really shocked that everyone was working together in the end.

This will always be one of my favorite books. Patrice was a real piece of work. She had everything but threw it all the way. The way she did Mel was cold. Her foolery caused a lot of chaos and mayhem. Adam was foul for cheating on her but that wasn't an excuse for her to sleep with Taj. And what she did to Corey was foul. She could have had her family and freedom if she would have turned from her wicked ways.

This was a great read. First of Patrice was one foolish women. She did all that to loose her family. She had the perfect family she just wasn’t satisfied about anything. I understand her husband did her dirty it was reason for her to do her daughter the same way and now her daughter has problems of her own. Patrice did Cory so bad and that’s truly is the sad part about this story. You hurt the ones you love and karma comes back ten folds on your butt... 🧡🧡🧡
