Caldwell Brothers #2

Suited for You

Rate this book
He’s smug, conceited … and hot as hell …
Becoming a partner at Caldwell and Holton will be the crowning achievement in my hard fought career. There’s just one problem. One arrogant, materialistic, flashy problem: Saint Caldwell.

Unlike me, he’s never had to struggle for anything a day in his life … or so I think. But there’s more to the man than a showy Porsche and killer smile. I’ve spent my whole life working towards this moment, and I can’t let myself fall for his good looks, no matter how much I crave him.

But long hours and close quarters are a combination neither of us can resist, and soon heat at the office turns into a wicked night in bed. We’re total opposites … can we really make it work for more than a night of pleasure?

At first it seems perfect. Saint fits in with my family, my step-father loves him, and the chemistry between us shows no signs of stopping. But when my own insecurities about my self-worth threaten everything we could have, I’ll need to find a way to move past them … or I’ll lose the best thing to ever happen to me.

I liked this one better than the previous one, because I found the romance to be more natural and satisfying, but it still has some cons that let me down a little bit.

The characters are pretty good. I really like the opposites attract trope and if we mix it with the enemies to lovers, even if as light as it is here, then it becomes just perfect. Saint's and Braxton's first encounter was unveiled during the first book's last chapter and it got me hooked. I wanted to know more about this two, two guys from different words that started their relationship making the worst first impression ever; and now they have to work together.

I loved the fact that neither Saint nor Braxton changed their opinion of each other too fast. They need time to get to know one another and keep making mistakes... especially Braxton. But little by little they grow into each other and what was animosity becomes lust and maybe something more.

Theirs is a bumpy ride full of uncertainity. Braxton has issues with wealth related things and dislikes everything flashy... and Saints is nothing but flashy; he loves having money and spending it in things that make him feel better with himself. Saint, on the other hand, has selfconfidance issues caused by past lovers and people telling him he isn't good enough. With all this, it's normal for them to clash... more than once.

Luckily, this one wasn't as erotic as the first one. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy good and steamy sex scenes, much more when they are not just sexy but also meaningful for the story... But I can't deny that I found the first book to abuse a little bit of this. Like the sex between Nico and Jaime was a way to fill the book more than complement the love story. This time, however, we get just the right amout of this: no more no less.

Where are the cons I mentioned at the beginning, then, if everything was so good? Well, it was perfect until it wasn't... and I have conflicting emotions about the "cons". In my humble opinion, the same way I said in My Brother's Best Friend that the obstacles Nico and Jaime had to surpass seemed pretty ridiculous and overblown, this time I found that the authors couldn't deliver Braxton's distress the right way. But at the same time, I kind of understand they want to deliver the idea of "everybody making mistakes and taking it on the ones closer to us" because it's true: we all do this once or twice in our lives. Although I understand that it's human and realistic, I found Brax to go way overboard with his behavior and, worst of all, that Saint forgives him too easily.

But if not for this little detail, I very much enjoyed this romance.

Once again, in the last chapter we get a glimpse of what next book will be about: Grady's secret crush on his best friend Eli. I can't wait to put my hands on the third book!

Enemies to lovers. They got off on a bad start. You know about first impressions. That what happened when Braxton call the two truck for an illegally parked car. Low on behold it was the person to interview him for a job.
The friction and attraction between them was bad, working together even worst, until they called a truce.
Watching the friendship bloom, notwithstanding Braxton's conflict with rich people was a bit difficult to get around. It worked thought, as it made me understand him better.
Good book.

Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted my copy of this book via Bookfunnel.
Making partner was something Braxton always worked toward, until the firm he worked for looked him over one tme too many. Leaving for Caldwell and Holton seemed like the best move. Until Braxton comes face to face with Saint Caldwell, again. They clash at every turn, but when they are forced to work closer together on a case, things get heated. Braxton's own insecurities threatened to destroy what they are building together. Can Brax let it go? Can he let Saint go?
I enjoyed this, I really did.
It's well told, from both Saint and Braxton's point of view, in the first person. Each view is clear and concise, and very different, showing their upbringings and families perfectly.
It was a little predictable, but I didn't actually mind that here. It was . .not nice .. . but kinda refreshing to see it all laid out for you, and to watch it all unravel and tighten back up again.
I particularly liked Nico Holton, and Saint's brother Jamie. I would like to go back and read their story which is book one in this series, My Brother's Best Friend.
BUT I NEED to ready the story of Grady, another of Saint's brothers and Eli, Grady's best friend. Their story will be explosive, given how this one ended!
An enjoyable way to spend the afternoon, while full of a cold, curled up on the sofa.

There was quite a lot going on in this one that really didn't work for me. First of all, both characters had bad first impressions on me not just each other. The "I hate you" and then "I want to hit the back of your throat" came out of nowhere and had no true fluidity within the story. Lastly, what the ever loving fuck was Braxton's problem? Not one of the characters seemed to understand his animosity with Saint and his comments towards Saint (particularly the adoption one) were disgusting. Listen, decorating my office with balloons and some fake nice comments would NEVER make up for that behavior. Saint truly deserved better. Ultimately, I did not like Braxton. He never redeemed himself from the first impression like Saint did.

HoHum

I did enjoy the first book in his series but DNF this one. Braxton was the biggest reason. I did not like him. At all. He was an immature, whiney, opinionated jerk and his mouth lacked self control. Most definitely NOT partnership material for such a prestigious law firm. His lack of basic manners alone should have been the catalyst to boot him to the curb.
This story was a big disappointment.

Here we go:

Plot: 3.5 stars -- I read these as one cluster (all the brothers together), and the plots are very similar in a couple of ways: 1) they all start out with a conflict of some sort, and 2) they all end with another conflict of some sort. So far, I like the original conflicts and find them realistic and nicely resolved (for the most part). But for the 2nd ... not so much. In this case, Braxton is interviewing for the partner position at Saint's law firm. The first conflict comes in right away because Braxton recently had Saint's Porsche towed when Saint parked in a handicapped zone. Saint, granted, was in a hurry and didn't notice the sign. This sets up the main issue where Braxton is convinced that Saint is an arrogant, rich, obnoxious human being. But Braxton is also one of Nico's good friends, and Nico really believes Braxton will make a good partner in their firm. The second conflict, though, was not well done at all:

Main Characters: 2.5 stars -- I liked Saint a lot, and I felt like his motivations and reasonings were solid, even if I didn't necessarily agree with his flashiness. Braxton ... not so much. He had huge hang-ups, and he didn't hesitate to lash out at those around him, especially Saint. I'd give Saint 4.5 stars, but Braxton closer to 1, LOL.

Smut Level: way too high -- this is my least favorite aspect of these books, and I ended up skipping pretty much every sex scene. They were not only too graphic and too long, but they incorporated dirty talk (which felt contrived every time), which I pretty much despise. Each book also had at least one long masturbation scene, as well, which is also not my thing.

Romance: 3.5 stars -- At first, I really liked this romance. There was a ton of tension, and Saint often expressed realistic concerns for where it was going and how they could get there.

World/Setting: 2.5 stars -- here's another weakness of the books (which should be a strength): so these are about 6 (out of 8) brothers. All six are gay; the two who aren't are basically stand-ins. They have no personality at all, and we don't get to know them at all, even though all eight brothers are supposed to be extremely close. On top of that, we don't really get to know the birth order or their ages. There are a few hints: Kairo is the oldest (that's mentioned many times); Saint turns 33 in his book; Grady turns 32 in his (a couple months later?); Adrian is the youngest, and I believe it's stated he's just finishing up college (for dentistry -- so 22? 23?); Jamie is 6 years younger than Saint (so we'd assume 27); Leo was a junior in high school 7 years ago when things went south with him and Shayne, which would make him around 24. That would put Mason and Julian (the straight brothers) in between Grady and Jamie ... maybe? Yeah, it's kind of like one of those logic puzzles. Add to this the mythical parents, who are certainly mentioned (and even included, especially the mom), but who don't really have any role at all. They're there to make the money, decorate the large (glass-filled) mansion, and ... that's about it. And my final complaint -- we have no idea how to distinguish between these brothers. Their personalities are marginally different, but the only description we ever get of their physical appearance is 'blond and blue-eyed, just like their dad.' And although it's mentioned many times that the brothers are close, we don't ever get to see much of that. Ugh -- it just irritated me.

Overall: 3 stars

Becoming hired at the law firm of Caldwell and Holton is a hard-won goal for Braxton Grant – if he can achieve it. It might even put him on track to become a partner! But Braxton has a strong resentment toward anyone who came from wealth. Saint Caldwell, from a wealthy family, comes off as cocky and arrogant, as if he has never had to work hard for anything his entire life. Saint believes a display of wealth indicates success; but inside he is a caring person. Braxton, not nearly as confident in himself, has had to work hard and struggle for what is important to him. He resents Saint’s privileged attitude, assuming without justification that he doesn’t take his profession seriously enough.

Braxton was nervous, waiting for his important interview. At least he knew Nico Holton, so he would have one friendly face there. But he really wanted to make an impression on the other partner. But as he walked into the interview room, the blond guy he had seen the day before – and had called to have his Porsche towed out of a handicap parking space – was sitting at the conference table reviewing papers! Life could not be so cruel to him! Why was he sitting in on his interview anyway? Braxton wouldn’t back down and continued to tell the blond that he deserved what happened. Nico was chuckling as he sat down. Then he introduced the two of them. “This is Saint Caldwell, my business partner and co-owner of Caldwell & Holton. And Saint, this is Braxton Grant, whose resume you have in front of you.”

Braxton was impressive, he had all the skill and passion they looked for but, the fact he had lied about being the deli owner to get Saint’s car towed out of there, bothered Saint. Saint came from a large, loving family – and his parents forgave much, but never lying. Nico and he would have to talk more about Braxton’s character and integrity before they decided to hire him. At the end of the interviews, Braxton was obviously the best candidate. But Saint insisted he be offered a 6-month trial to prove himself before they invited him as a partner.

Saint met with Braxton for the welcome meeting, but they were both uncomfortable, so he suggested they start over. This time, they asked each other questions and began to relax. Braxton started work on his first case in family law, his specialty, but it evolved over the week into clients wanting advice on their divorce – Saint’s legal specialty. Should he ask for the help? He had noticed, too, that every single employee had good things to say about Saint. He was fair and generous to everyone. Not the man Braxton had at first thought him to be.

I am more and more impressed by the authors as I read these amazing stories. Love, respect, caring, support – it all flows freely from the families. The reader will feel honest emotions shared with the reader from characters who feel more like friends. The story line is well paced, with some humor inserted to make it perfect. Grab your copy and see if Braxton and Saint will soon figure out that they both got it all wrong in the beginning – and the perfect partner for them is closer than they think!

At both ends of the spectrum

Oregon author Aiden Bates began his writing career in journalism (his degree is in both journalism and creative writing) but his fascination and passion for writing romance erotica won him over and we are the grateful recipients of that decision. In this new series – Brotherly Love – he is joined by his now frequent co-author, Ali Lyda. SUITED FOR YOU is one of the five books that proves their fine collaboration.

Creating credible characters is a trait Aiden and Ali share, as is obvious from the opening lines as we meet Braxton – ‘I pushed my palms across my thighs again, wiping them and hoping no one saw. Well, hoping the receptionist didn’t glance up and spot me, and hoping no one reviewed the security footage from the blinking red light camera in the corner too closely. But I wasn’t nervous. Definitely not. After all, I had other applications out at other firms if I didn’t like this one. This only felt like the biggest interview of my life.’ Then Saint – ‘I kept my focus n the paperwork as I arranged my thoughts. That stupid dickwad – the guy I never expected to see again…Yet, here he was – the reason for all my woes – standing in front of me, ready to interview for a path to partner. The universe did indeed have a sick sense of humor.’ Personalities set and the story begins.
The authors supply a solid overview of the novel’s story – ‘Becoming a partner at Caldwell and Holton will be the crowning achievement in my hard fought career. Saint fits in with my family, my stepfather loves him, and the chemistry between us shows no signs of stopping. But when my own insecurities about my self-worth threaten everything we could have, I’ll need to find a way to move past them … or I’ll lose the best thing to ever happen to me.’

Juxtaposing distinctly different personalities in preparing for an erotic affair works out well in this second installment of the authors’ series. Watch for more…

This is the second book in the Brotherly Love Series by Aiden Bates, but although it's a series they can be read as a stand alone. But of course I'll recommednt to read the series in order for a more enjoyable experience.

I enjoyed the first book in this series and the teaser at the end ensured I would be back to read this entry. It did not disappoint, thank you Aiden!

Saint Caldwell is one of the Parteners at Caldwell & Holton: he comes off as an arrogant, cocky and flashy but he can back it up because he has worked his ass off and earn it. But he is also every opposite to Braxton's beliefs and everything he stands for against.

Braxton he is hard worker and comes from a background of proverty so his first impressions of Saint are very jaded (and a bit judgemental) after their initial meeting, one that was a total a disaster; destiny has a way of put them in each otehrs paths again and Braxton ends working for Saint's firm and is on a 6 month trial to make it to the partner position.
Their initial meeting was a disaster but they were able to work through it. Working together and getting to know one another helped their relationship.

This one is an enemy-to-lovers story. But they make the perfetc match after accepting each other's weakness and strengths to be the key; acknowledging their attraction and rising above each other's faults.

I really loved reading Saint and Braxton's journey to love. I really recommend it.
And I can't wait for the next book on the line *hint hint: it appears to be about Grady's forthcoming story.

*I read an ARC of the book in exchange of my honest review.

Braxton Grant worked his butt off at his old firm with the promise he’d make partner some day. But after being passed up for partner time after time Braxton knew it wasn’t going to happen for him there. He got the opportunity to interview for a potential future partnership at Caldwell & Holden so he couldn’t pass that up. He’s geared for his interview there until he meets Saint Caldwell, the man who’s car he had towed and the man doing the interview.

Saint Caldwell is partner at an up and coming firm and he’s proud of all he’s accomplished at such a young age. He enjoys the finer things in life and he admits that he can be flashy. Saint and his business partner want to expand their firm and they’re looking for a partner. What he was not expecting was one of the interviewees being the man who had his car towed.

Despite their rocky first meet, Saint is trying give Braxton a fair shot at being partner, but one thing Saint will not tolerate is people judging him. The one thing Braxton hates most in this world is flashy people. And Saint is flashy. Time will tell whether or not Braxton can see beyond Saint’s flashiness and if Saint can look beyond Braxton’s judgments to get to the root of his problem.

I will admit when I read the first book I was really looking forward to reading Saint’s story. He captured my attention from the start. I enjoyed reading the different layers of Saint. I’m not going to lie, Saint pretty much ruins all men in real life. He’s the complete package.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This was such an amazing book. I loved all the different characters and twists to the story! The authors did an amazing job building the plot and the backstory for each of the main characters. The build up in the beginning was brilliant and I could practically hear the pin drop in the room.

These two awesome authors came together and created some wonderful angst, comedy and tenderness that won me over from the very first paragraph. The different elements to the story including the family drama, the evil ex and the emotional baggage they both had made this story even better. Hook, line and sinker! I’m ready for more!!

I really enjoyed Brax as a character. He was that character we love to hate but also love to love. He’s so emotionally stunted in so many ways, he has this innate ability of hurting the people around him without even meaning to and his self-deprecation is palpable. The authors did a wonderful job in creating him because even though he’s a bit of a dislikable man we see so much growth and loveliness. In the end I loved him and wanted to hug him close.

The ending of the story was awesome and I cannot wait for the next piece! I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to know what happens with the next brother.

Believe in yourself and OWN your accomplishments. Braxton, patiently worked his whole life with the goal of making partner with Caldwell and Holton. His only block was Saint Caldwell. He and Saint had a slight, vehicular misunderstanding. Imagine his shock when he realized Saint was one of the men interviewing him for partner. Saint, was a bit ostentatious, but it hid a lot of defensive insecurities. His possessions were his cover, his comfort, his validation. Saint always thought people judged him as not being good enough. Can he find his balance and put down his baggage? He felt Braxton, judged his lifestyle harshly. Braxton, let his insecurities make him defensive and harshly judgmental to anyone who pushed his buttons. These men do talk, sometimes a bit bluntly. Nico continues to be a good friend and an astute partner. Can they find the path to good communication? Can they work together? Will they put their baggage down and appreciate each other? Will Braxton make partner? Nicely done, Mr Bates can not write a bad story. His characters are top notch and absolutely likeably entertaining. I received and ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed the first book in this series and the teaser at the end ensured I would be back to read this entry. It did not disappoint. I enjoy seeing how romance authors ring their variations on the "meet cute" trope and having someone's car towed from being illegally parked in a handicapped parking space is a doozy. Having needed one of those spaces for a handicapped parent, I was cheering that action of Brax's and started the book with a slightly negative view of Saint. Like the first book, the initial impressions we have of the characters are not quite right and just as the characters in the story have to find out about each other and correct their misperceptions, we as the reader have to do that as well. I really like a book that can take me from being sceptical about a character - Brax = liar,
Saint = arrogant jerk and make me care about them and understand where they are coming from. This series is all about that. As always with this author, there is five-star heat between the characters but a real emotional connection as well once they start talking to each other. I look forward with great anticipation to the next entry.

The character study of these two was such a contrast. Saint comes off as an arrogant, cocky, brash jokester while Braxon is insecure in his emotions and dealings with the world in general. Braxon's outlook on wealth comes from a background of proverty so his first impressions of Saint are very jaded. One has to get into the meat of this story to understand where and why each of these men are coming from and what made them the way they are in the present setting. One thing both have in common is that both have strong parents that love their sons unquestionably. Their support in the emotional strife each man goes through is wonderfully endearing. Acceptance of each other's weakness and strength is the key to acknowledging their attraction and excepting each other's faults and rise above those faults. One other nice tidbit is seeing the future hints of Grady's forthcoming story. Aiden's grasp of plot, character development, and surprises of humor thrown in this story is just another example of his writing talent. I did get this book through the Bookfunnel website as an ARC.

Saint is a focused, determined man, he is definitely flashy with his money as he feels that obvious wealth means success and he has worked hard to be successful. But there is definitely more to him than money, he is a caring, generous man who loves his family but has insecurities about being good enough. Braxton is full of insecurities and self doubt and has serious issues with flashy wealth. On the surface these two are opposites but the closer they get, the more similarities we find. Past relationships for both men affect them today and they need to figure themselves out before they can enjoy genuine love and a wonderful HEA.
This story continues where the first book left off but it is not necessary to read it to understand where we are (although I would since it is also a great book). Great character development, an interesting storyline, emotional elements, a troublemaker, amazing family and friends, laughs, steamy sexy times, tense moments, and a twist or two makes this a worthwhile read.

Braxton was let down by his company after they failed to deliver on promises they made to him despite his incredibly hard work which makes him realise that he needs to make a move. He interviews for a job at Caldwell & Holden with a view to a possible partnership, I mean who wouldn't with their reputation. But Braxton and Saint's first meeting really, really could have gone better but Saint decides to cut Braxton some slack and be professional in the context of assessing a future partner. Unfortunately the two don't exactly gel. Braxton hates flashy, Saint is openly and unashamedly flashy. Saint dislikes being judged, Braxton doesn't hide the fact that he judges Saint's flashy lifestyle. Will these two ever see eye to eye? I thoroughly enjoyed how the author brought out all the facets of Saint's personality, not just the flashy guy who liked the good things in life and how the relationship between these two evolved as each of them grew.

A really enjoyable MM romance with a mild “enemies to lovers” undertone, it is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. The characters are well-developed with opposing personalities & at times are inclined to be quite confrontational but continue to develop throughout the story-line to become a well-adjusted couple. There is good support from the secondary characters. The plot is well-paced with interesting situations & covers two men who are both lawyers (Braxton Grant, looking for a better opportunity & a new firm to work for) & (Saint Holden, the owner of the firm & the recipient of a traffic incident)
There is: a despicable lawyer (Andrew Barker), a supportive family, drama, intrigue, humor, mild deceit, self esteem issues, strange attractions, judgmental attitude, memories, blackmail, misconception, confrontations, insecurities, doubts, self sabotage, anguish, parental advice, surprises, compromises, love, steamy scenes, contentment & a satisfying conclusion for this couple with a interesting ending that is paving the way for the next book.

Misconceptions, miscommunications, and assumptions can be very destructive. We all battle with feelings of self worth and doubt at varying levels. Saint deals with never feeling good enough, from growing up in the shadow of a successful older brother, and an ex boyfriend who told him so. Braxton’s perception of his stepfather and money runs through his mind daily. Putting his foot in his mouth doesn’t help, but he keeps doing it time and time again. The first time Saint and Braxton meet doesn’t exactly go well; neither does the second one. Only, Braxton needs it to, because he wants this job. Turns out Saint would he his boss...IF he got the job, that is.

I loved this story. It was well written and I had a hard time hitting pause a few times. The narration was superb, and easily brought the story to life.

This is book 2 in the series. It can be listened to as a standalone, but the Caldwells are a lovable family, so I believe you will want to listen to more. I know I do! The last chapter sets up the premise for the next book, making me really want to find out what happens!

I really loved reading Saint and Braxton's journey to love. Their initial meeting was a disaster but they were able to work through it. Working together and getting to know one another helped their relationship. It was plenty rocky but they were able to overcome the obstacles. I like mostly Braxton's ability to let Saint know how he is feeling and vice versa. That was refreshing to read because some books have you yelling at the characters about not communicating feelings which would move the story along...lot less drama. Now this book has drama but I really loved how it played out. I loved both these characters and was happy they were good at the end. Good guys who are good enough and deserving enough for love. Additionally, I really loved how the author dropped that bomb at the end that will hopefully start a new story with Saint's brother Grady...can't wait.

Saint and Nico are looking for a partner in their firm. Braxton is qualified and stuck without promotion at his old company.

A chance meeting over Saint parking in an illegal spot stirs Braxton’s ire, and his rigid views about rich people. Even though Saint is nothing like a typical rich person, he has doubts about himself because his ex never though he was enough.

They agree to a trial working together, the attraction brews between them, but Brax’s judgemental attitude and Saint’s fears leads them to lots of hurt and vulnerability.

They figure things put after Brax realizes his judgments come from his own fears of not measuring up with his adoptive father’s expectations, but this is the furthest thing from the truth. Happiness for the couple results.

I don’t like Brad because he is so judgmental and talks without thinking. A law partner should be more in control, but then, Saint has his moments too.

Not bad, but not a great book.

Brax is an a*hole.

All the the things Brax has done to Saint was the most middle school girl drama I’ve ever witnessed. Maybe the real reason Brax didn’t make partner in his other firm was because his emotional maturity was 12. The fact that he can blurt out things that are misconstrued has me wondering how he came this far as a lawyer. How can he be this good of a family attorney when he can make sense of his thoughts. Honestly, balloons wouldn’t have had me forgiving him.
Saint’s brother was in an accident and he made it all about himself. Pushed Saint away that same night and had the audacity to say he loved him in balloons? No. We’re not even going to discuss his hypocrisy. Can’t.

Read this through Audible and thank goodness for that because the narrator was good though so that’s 5 stars.
3/5 stars and 3 of those are for Saint because I’d wrap that cinnamon roll in my arms and accept him for who he is because he’s worth it.

This is an enjoyable story about Saint and Braxton. Although they grew up very differently they both find themselves as lawyers. Saint and his friend and business partner Nico are looking to add a third partner to their firm. Cue Braxton, he is a friend of Nico's and is looking for a new firm to work for. When Braxton comes in for an interview with Nico and Saint little does he know he's already met Saint. They already had quite the awkward first meeting.
I really enjoyed watching Saint and Braxton's relationship grow into something more, after Braxton is given a job at the firm. Saint and Braxton learn a lot about each other and themselves. They really are good for each other and I'm glad they got their happy ending.
This is a beautiful story and I can't wait for the next book.

10/10 AN OUTSTANDING READ ITS BRILLIANT!!!!!
WOW DO WE SEE A DIFFERENT SIDE OF SAINT! OH YES WE DO AND BRAX IS JUST THE MAN TO PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE. OR IS HE???
THERE IS BANTER, THERE IS PASSION, THERE IS PAIN AND THERE IS LOVE. THERE IS MISCOMMUNITCATION AND THERE IS SELF DOUBT.
BUT WHAT REALLY GOT ME WAS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THEM, ONCE THEY GOT OVER THE FACT THAT BRAX GOT SAINTS PRECIOUS CAR TOWED AWAY WHEN HE PARKED IT IN THE WRONG CAR SPACE. HAHAHAHA
BRAX THINKS SAINT IS ALL ABOUT SHOWING OFF WHAT HE HAS BUT ONCE HE GETS TO KNOW THE REAL SAINT BRAX KNOWS HE JUMPED TO CONCLUSIONS ABOUT HIM BUT WOULD SAINT FORGIVE HIM.
THIS IS A FANTASTIC STORY THAT I COULDNT OUT DOWN. IT WAS SO ADDICTIVE AND SO DAM YUMMY. THEY JUST MADE ME HAPPY!!!!!

Braxton is looking for a new firm and interviews to become a partner at Caldwell & Holton. He gets a little nervous when he realizes that Saint, one of the interviewers and owner of the firm, is the owner of the car he had towed the week prior. Does he really want to work with such a flashy guy? All of Saint's self-esteem issues and doubts return after coming face to face with Braxton. Does he want this guy working with them? Will he ever really see him? They both have so much to think about and work through. The characters are complex, self-doubting, resilient and determined. The storyline is a roller coaster of emotions that takes you through a journey through self-sabotage, insecurities and new love. Amazing read and always look forward to the next book.

Braxton has always had these prejudices about rich people. Ever since his stepfather swooped in and save his mother and her two children from poverty, he’s had them but he just never really acknowledged it.

Saint has had bad experiences with regards to his confidence and self-esteem. He’d had boyfriends who commented, during their relationship, that he wasn’t enough. Thus the flamboyance and dispkay of wealth! Which he totally deserves by the way, as he works really hard for it!

When these two met, it wasn’t in an ideal stuation and from there insecurities, doubts, standards and prejudices were born. But the attraction is pretty hot as well. There were times when I wanted to strangle one of the MCs because of how he looked/perceived things, but I also get it sometimes. It is a great book about another Caldwell finding his true love!

This is the 2nd book in the series and just as good as the 1st!
We met Saint in the 1st book, he is a domineering, proud man who likes to show his wealth through nice clothes and flashy cars but also wants to help others anonymously donating to charity but has many scares and troubles caused by awful ex’s.
Brax is a friend of Nico’s is hoping to become a Partner at Saint and Nico’s firm. He is a rather opinionated guy who has issues with wealth after being bought up practically broke.
He and Saint appear to be polar opposites but actually fit really well together, they have a spark and against both of their better judgement they allow the spark to grow.
It’s a passionate book with angst and drama but it flows well, it sucks you in and it certainly entertains.
It’s a fab read, just like the 1st one!

4.5 stars.
In this instalment of the Brotherly Love series, Saint and Braxton are the featured couple. They are both wonderfull, slightly flawed characters.
They appear to be opposites but that’s based on incorrect judgements and assumptions made by Brax regarding what he sees as Saint’s flashy and extravagant lifestyle. Although you can almost feel the tension and the chemistry between them and once that sparks the heat turns up to high.
This is an enjoyable, easy read that flowed effortlessly due to the great writing style and character development.
There’s a little bit of drama, a touch of angst and the side character Grady sets the scene for the next book. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

This story was certainly quiet confrontational at times between the two men. Brax has been invited to join the partnership, but before that, like many others he must do and interview. When he gets there he sees Saint and to his horror, its the man whose car he had towed away that was parked in an invalids car park. But thats not the end of things there for Brax, he has a thing against rich men. Saint again is in the firing line for having to flashy things..... but despite all this going on there is chemistry between them both, but can they get over all the hurt which has been caused?
I really did enjoy this story and i really wondered if Brax was truely going to get his stuff fixed up, and in true fashion though there is a lovely HEA for both men.

5 stars... once more

Saint Caldwell is part owner of the Caldwell & Holton Law firm. Nico Holton approached Saint with the idea of adding another partner to the firm. Braxton Grant is one of the lawyers interviewing for the new partner position. Braxton and Saint get off on the wrong foot to begin with and agree to start over. Braxton is not comfortable around people who are rich. Braxton's stepfather is rich and helped his mom when they needed the help. Saint has an expensive car, nice suits and a good watch to show his wealth. Can Saint find someone who wants to be with him? Will Braxton be able to see that he can fall in love with the right person? Will Braxton get the partner position?
