A wonderful collection of western tales of romance with a little spice. Each author weaves masterful settings alongside satisfying love stories.
In FAKE MARRIAGE WITH A DASH OF DESIRE, Nash Landry is hired to watch over Jewel Murphy until her uncle can retrieve her. But when Jewel proposes a marriage of convenience, Nash finds he can’t say no.
In THE LADY PIANO PLAYER, Essie Delevaux is fleeing an abusive husband when she takes a job as a piano player in a saloon, not the best position for a woman. Matt Curley, who runs the local newspaper, takes it upon himself to look after her and soon finds himself falling for the determined woman.
In DUTY, Dan Loomis is searching for an Army deserter when he finds himself coming to the aid of Miranda Foster and her fight to keep the property left to her by her stepfather.
In DIAMOND JACK’S ANGEL, Angela Summers loses her grandfather under mysterious circumstances. Local saloon owner Jack Williams takes it upon himself to look after her, having long admired her.
In A SUMMER TO REMEMBER, Amy and Ryan Jansen’s marriage is crumbling. This couple appeared in one of Ms. Lence’s previous novels, and this story nicely ties up earlier misunderstandings.

A Summer to Remember - Julie Lence - This story touched my heart. The emotions I felt as Amy and Ryan found their way back to each other were strong. I had tears, my heart swelled with happiness, and for a moment a bit of despair that all would not work out. I loved this one story and will read the rest.

Hot Western Nights definitely delivers some heat induced moments and many wonderful romances too. Historical is not my usual genre, but these stories set in the old west are thoroughly enjoyable; each with their own theme and most require a sexy cowboy coming to the rescue of a damsel (or not) in distress. I’m sure there will be something to satisfy any reader’s tastes within this anthology.

This was a good group of short stories from authors I’ve never read from before. I enjoyed most of the stories and the characters were enough to hold my interest, but as a whole struggled to I finish the anthology.
