Weird

Four teens embark on adventure because they share a number in some way. They switch generations and find themselves in a POW camp in Arizona where they become servants to the military. Youth triumphs as youth will and an engaging story unfolds. I received this book from Goodreads for free.

I would classify this more as a YA/Middle School read. The story was bizarre and bounced around too much to keep me interested. There were too many characters and side stories to get the reader involved. It could have been much better.

This is a great YA book. The author takes the reader on a fantastical journey through time presenting the characters with opportunities to alter history with sometimes unanticipated results. Loved Allie, a character that seemingly has everything. As the story progresses, we learn she has a lot to learn about life and herself.

This book is more for a younger crowd. My middle-schooler would definitely enjoy this book. I will pass it on to her.
