For the most part, the souls that live in the Crosswinds Apartments building in Carrefour—a small town located on the Missouri bank of the Mississippi River—form a tight knit diverse community . . . some living transparent lives while others have secrets to hide. And then there are those who have found themselves at a crossroads. River Loughlin—the closest thing to a rock star the little town of Carrefour had ever seen—was setting off on a new career path that would keep him closer to home. What he didn’t know was that his life would evolve into an unrecognizable one that he’d grow to cherish. Prodigal daughter and sister—Daisy Alexander—returns home broken and with major baggage. She’d need to tread lightly in order to keep her father’s biker clan in check, but she’d find help and support from an unexpected source, bringing blessings she never expected. In him, she’d find a soft, safe place to fall. In her, he’d find a muse and a glimpse of what a family could be.
This was a amazing series but this one won the came for me! I loved River's song's and Daisy so determined to make it on her own! I was happy to read that the owned was just who I thought it would be too! Well written and sweet, though parts could bring on the tears!
Well Mandie has done it agai. I couldn’t put this book down. The detail she puts into her books brings them to life. They are good Christian books but not shoved down your throat. I am so proud to say Mandie is a dear friend. Thank you for another great book!
I fell in love with the characters. I've read the first book and somehow missed book two in the series, but I'll have to go back and read it. I'm hooked on this author! This is a page-turner!
