A girl, her best friend's twin brother, and a crush that's gone on way too long.
Dannika I've had a crush on my best friend's brother for almost a decade. It was time to cut my losses and move on. At least, that's what I tried to tell myself.
I just needed one shot, one chance, to show Luke I'm the perfect girl for him.
Luke Sure, I knew about Dannika's little crush. She's my sister's best friend, for crying out loud.
I never meant to kiss her. But one out of control party and a kissing game later, that's exactly what I did. It didn't mean anything, right? At least, that's what I've been telling myself.
I have a plan to get back together with my ex-girlfriend and that plan does not include falling for my sister's best friend.
Plans go awry when Luke and Dannika get thrown together for one epic night. Can they keep denying what's happening between them?

Eastridge Heights Basketball Players Book 1 Dating: One on One Book 2Dating: On the Rebound Book 3Dating: For the Block Book 4Dating: For the Assist
It´s a really almost okay book. Plot was fine and so were the characters, problem was really all grammar and spelling mistakes. Some sentences lacked words and other had to "he" in a row and stuff like that. Easy to notice mistakes in editing.
I was really enjoying Luke and Dannika’s story and started to wonder how things seemed to be wrapping up so soon with still half the book to go. Quite simply the focus completely changed and was back to the continued story of Piper and Drew. As a result I was a little disappointed at how uneventful Luke and Dannika’s story was but was intrigued to go on as things jump forward in time and we get to see where everyone we have met in the series is at. That was kinda fun although there was one extra storyline thrown in out of the blue which didn’t even seem worth it as it arises and comes to an end in a matter of a few pages.
With all that considered and the fact the book needs to be re-edited to sort out grammatical errors, I couldn’t give it more than 3 stars. If you’ve read the series then this book is worth it as fun to read more about the characters idea but otherwise it would be way to confusing and half the book isn’t even related to the title of the book’s storyline.
DNF 69%. I thought it would be a stand-alone because most books in series like these are, but it definitely wasn’t. The first half of the book was fine as a stand-alone but then the second half jumped forward 5 years in time and was no longer focusing on the main characters of the first half...
I wasn’t expecting this book to go into five years later. It was very interesting to read. Learning every one of the guys and the girls grown up to become an adult. To Luke and his twin, Piper was learning about who their birth father is. I don’t know why I think it was KARMA. It would be me of me to say that about their dad (Michael) who went into the army. But he did fool around with Bella, aka Lily behind his twin brother (Robert) back. 🤷🏽♀️... but at least, in the end, Lily got her happy ending with her true love Robert.
But anyway, I liked this book. I was glad it didn’t take Luke a long time to figure out his feelings for Dannika. As he said, he may have been in denial about how he truly felt about her. Glad it took a kissing game for them to become closer and want to be more than friends. That was a good thing! But did suck when Piper broke up with Drew that was cute together, but at least they figure things out in the end.
I don’t have much to say about this book, tbh since after they all graduated, it went into Mia/Grayson, Luke/Dannika, Noah/Tierney, and Drew/Piper. It was all their story leading into Luke and Dannika's wedding.
What I realize is out of all the guys, Drew was the only guy from the basketball (from the close friends) that went into professional basketball, whereas Will, Noah, Luke, Grayson, Mateo, Zeke, and AJ went a different route. Very interesting to see. But at least they all stay close even with busy schedules and marriages/careers and children/to-be...
I knew this seemed too good to be true This book was better than Fake Date but that doesn’t mean it was good. The first two thirds were pretty good. I enjoyed the characters and the tension. Danni especially was fun to read and she actually made sense. And I even liked Luke which was a huge flip from hating Grayson. The book was going so well. And then the final third ruined it. So many things happened. We went from 2 points of view to 6. There was a 4 year time skip, a wedding, a birth, a pregnancy reveal, a flame rekindled, a parent revelation, a further 6 month time skip, another wedding, another proposal and still more all in ten chapters. (Read that out loud without taking a breath and you’ll understand how chaotic it was). There wasn’t enough time to appreciate any of these twists. I wasn’t invested in any of the new developments and I didn’t care to read the internal workings of the new characters (although I will admit that these characters came from the earlier books). It was one book people; focus on one couple! These couples had their own books, just put these extras in the epilogue. Knowing what I do now from the chaos of these last chapters has dissuaded me from reading the first two books (thankfully) so in a roundabout way this was worth it.

OMG this book was amazing!! I am so happy that Luke finally noticed Danni. But over all I'm ecstatic with the way the series ended! It fills me with joy that all the couples got happy endings. The whole prom fiasco with Piper and Drew made me really mad. I understand that she went through a whole ordeal, I get that I really do but come on he's the love of your life chica and you're pushing him away. Dont even get me started on the fact that it took then 5 years to find each other again. I cant really be too mad though considering that they do finally end up together. I've been in love with this series from the very beginning. It makes me sad knowing that it's over, but it's ok because everyone got the hally ending that deserve.

I've read some other books by the author and I enjoyed them. This one was not my favorite, the plot sounded interesting. Everything happened so fast. However, I think maybe if I had read the previous books before then it may not have felt this way. I thought this was a stand alone, but there were a lot of character crossovers that I would not have known about had I not looked up some other books. Also, there were a lot of spelling errors. There was also an inferred rape incident, that was mentioned that had happened in a previous book. There was some light teen boy humor talking about testicles. No sex mentioned, but a lot of lust, wanting, and body positioning.
nevermind my first rating. HEA all around. oh my word.
—————— series rating: 1. Game On with the Power Forward (Piper and Drew) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2. Partner Up with the Team Captain (Noah and Tierney) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3. Fake Date the Coach’s Daughter (Grayson and Mia) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4. Prom Night with my Best Friends Brother (Luke, Danni and Epilogue) ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh wow! I loved those last few chapters and that's why I gave it an extra star compared to the other books from the series. Though the writing was good, I loved the characters and the bond they shared...it was so nice and comfortable to read about. I loved the whole series a lot! Ready to read more books by this author.
I love this book! I love that the author brought all the characters from the series back into this to wrap everything up. I love happy endings and was going to be upset at the end of prom night, but I adore what happened after.

I have enjoyed this sweet heartfelt going adult romance of Luke and Dannika as they finish their senior year and he finally figure out he was in love with his sister best friend.
Stephanie Street always promises a happy ending in her works and the final book of the Eastridge Heights Basketball Players series does not disappoint. In the absolute best way possible Stephanie shows us one more high school romance and brings the audience ahead to the gang five years after graduation providing what has to be the most satisfying epilogues I've read.
While most of the books in this series could be read as a standalone that is not the case with Dating For the Assist. At minimum you should read book 1 but for the most satisfaction just read the whole series.
Even though I only started reading this series yesterday, I instantly was hooked. I couldn't stop reading. I should probably mention that it is almost 6 am and I haven't gone to sleep yet. I felt connected to each and every character. I became one of them (I absolutely love basketball, so that was a huge bonus). As I began to read the extended epilogue, I could feel my heart breaking as each page was turned. I didn't want the world of Eastridge Heights to end, so here I am at 6 am sobbing not knowing what to do now (let's be honest, I need to go to sleep lol). Thank you Stephanie Street for breathing and writing this world to life. To Dannika Harper, thank you for teaching me to never settle and let my feelings be toyed with even if the one playing with them is my crush. To Mia Tillman, thank you for reminding me to be more open about my feelings with my divorced parents. To Tierney Hiatt, thank you for pushing me to not let my past define me. To Piper Hines, thank you for making me showing me that I shouldn't feel insecure about my height or looks in general. I am strong, powerful, beautiful just the way I am and one day, the right person will come along and will love me for everything that I am.
Satifying conclusion to a good series. Luke and Dannika's story reads more like a novella- quick and a bit shallow because it was so short. The last third of the book is an extended epilogue that brings all the "old crew" back in a reunion of sorts, and reads mostly like a piper&drew 2.0. But it was necessary. The lack of piper getting therapy after her trauma has bugged me from book 1, but i was so incredibly satisfied that it was finally addressed in this final book of the series. Their relationship seemed so unhealthy through the series, but I was so happy to find piper's character did the work to heal eventually. This series should really be put in a whole box set, because it's incomplete if read as a series of stand alone stories.
Awesome book!! I loved how you wrapped up everybody's stories in the end. In every book in that series I was captured and I did not want to turn away. You have a great way of showing the love and passion the couples had for each other. Thank You for a great read!
