A Cinderella Seduction is the second book in Karen Booth’s Eden Empire series. This is a standalone read with characters you will immediately fall in love with.

A Cinderella Seduction finds Emma Stewart dealing with the aftermath of discovering she is an Eden. And the product of an affair her mother had with her sister’s husband. Emma now has two half-sisters she’s always thought were her cousins. But the biggest shock is that with the passing of her paternal grandmother Victoria Eden, Emma now owns one-third of Eden’s, the largest department store in Manhattan. She’s also now a billionaire. For the past three months, Emma has been working as the CFO of Eden’s alongside her half-sisters Sophie and Mindy.

In a PR move, Sophie has come up with a cover to explain why no one has ever heard of Emma before. After all, it wouldn’t look good to have an Eden grow up living paycheck to paycheck. Sophie and Mindy expect Emma to keep up with the act, but it’s clear they are still not truly welcoming her into the fold. Emma’s first introduction into the public eye will take place at the Empire State fashion show. The sisters are supposed to attend together, but at the last minute Sophie and Mindy bail. Not knowing anyone in attendance, Emma feels lonely and out of place until she sees the man from her building’s elevator.

Emma and Daniel strike up a playful interaction, where it’s clear the two are attracted to each other. After a wardrobe mishap, Daniel comes to Emma’s rescue. He even makes sure she gets into her waiting car okay. As the two say goodbye, their playful yet innocent kiss is captured by the paparazzi. The next day, to everyone’s shock, surprise, and horror the image is printed in the newspaper, with the title of Retail Royalty Romance! That’s right. Emma and Daniel had no idea who the other really was. Daniel is in fact Daniel Stone of Stone’s of London, a successful department store chain based in the UK. Daniel is in town to scout out a location for their first US store. It is the hope of Daniel’s mother, Margaret, that Stone’s New York will put Eden’s out of business for good. It seems that Victoria Eden and Margaret Stone have had a feud going on for years after it was discovered that Margaret was sent over to get insider information on how Eden’s was ran over twenty years ago.

A Cinderella Seduction brings back familiar faces for fans of Karen Booth. I personally love when she adds in characters from her previous books. The title fits this book perfectly. Emma really is a rags-to-riches woman. She and Daniel have more in common than just their family businesses. This is a story about love, family, and becoming the person you are meant to be.

Two Households Both Alike In Dignity!

I will admit that I wavered between a 3 and 4 star for this book but went for the 4. I enjoyed it, I loved the duelling households and family expectations but some parts of it just felt a little rushed to me. There was just something I couldn’t put my finger on and I decided if I couldn’t definitively say what I found to be the problem it would be too harsh to give it a 3 star rating. I did love the relationship between the sisters and how there’s an about turn with one of them which I didn’t see coming! The relationship between Emma and Daniel was sweet but sexy and I spent quite a bit of the book waiting for the other shoe to drop! I enjoyed it and would certainly suggest everyone give it a go.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. As I’ve said before, I always give honest reviews whether people appreciate them or not.

This is the second story of the Eden Empire series by Karen Booth. I, as usual, started reading this first before I realized that maybe I should read A Christmas Temptation (The Eden Empire Book 1) first. So I did. I have to say that I’m glad I read the first book since it helped put me in the family business and the family. I don’t think reading the first book was a must, but it was good and worth reading first. So onto this story… Emma is the third sister of the Eden family, only through plot twists discussed in book one her sisters didn’t know about her. The sisters are Sophie, Mindy and Emma and they inherited a department store, Eden’s, from their grandmother. Sophie and Mindy don’t really know Emma so there is definitely some mistrust between them all.

Daniel Stone is the son of an English competitor of Eden’s. His mother was sort of the arch nemesis of the girl’s grandmother. He arrives in New York to possibly open a Stone’s as competition to Eden’s. Before he can really get started doing that he meets Emma, neither of them knows who the other is, and they are immediately drawn together. Emma is new to the whole fashion and retail scene and knows nothing about the ‘family feud’ that’s been going on for years between Stone’s and Eden’s. There is, unfortunately, a lot of hatred and vitriol coming from Daniel’s mother almost constantly and occasionally it comes from Mindy and Sophie too.

Emma is surprisingly naïve and seems to see the good in everyone. Daniel definitely like who he is when he’s with Emma than when he’s not with her. This is such a great story! There are twists and turns throughout, and while I laughed a few times, cried a few times, I really want to read the next story of the series! Mindy’s story is’ A Bet with Benefits’ (The Eden Empire Book 3) which is releasing September 1. Just enough time for me to re-read the first two books again before diving into her story. Ms. Booth has written a wonderful story and had me enthralled the entire time I was reading!

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

While this is the second book in this series, this is the first one that I have read. I was able to enjoy this book without reading the prior one. I also enjoyed that the author laid down a great foundation for the third book of the series here.

Daniel Stone is heir to the Stone fortune and legacy of the London based Stone department store. He is in New York to open a branch in the U.S. His mother is out to destroy the ever popular Eden's department store. Emma Eden is the newly discovered half sister to Sophie and Mindy. She was not brought up with wealth. She was hidden away from the world until the grandmother's death and reading of the will. Emma is fielding her way in the world of the privileged. On her way to work, she runs into a devilish handsome man in the elevator in her apartment building. Even though she his nervous, she tries to chat him up. Unfortunately his answers are minimal but in a oh so sexy Brit accent. It isn't until later that night at a showing that Emma spots the handsome Brit.

The road to Emma and Daniel's HEA is one filled with laughs, heartache and family troubles. The story just flowed beautifully. I didn't feel that there were any low spots. The characters were easy to relate to and some of the scenes were hilariously funny (especially the zipper scene!)

I adored the dual POV format here. Seeing into the inner thoughts and feelings of these two people was a treat. You could really see the warm, generous and tender heart of Emma. Daniel has a plate filled with family strife. He is conflicted over issues with events from the past and the way his parents have dealt with it.

There were some sexy scenes nothing to really offend anyone but I can only in good conscious recommend this to someone over the age of 18.

Imagine for a moment going about your daily life, your job is so-so but it’s a paycheck, and then discovering that you are actually part of a very important family in the retail world or that you have sisters who have no idea whatsoever what to do with this new found knowledge of a sister they never knew existed. Yeah, your life is about to change big time.

I loved Emma. She’s making the best of an unexpected life change even if she is on shaky ground with her sisters. When she meets Daniel it was an attraction at first sight – but another thing unknown to Emma is who exactly Daniel is or what his plans are for Emma’s family.

Daniel was a slower burn for me. I liked him, just didn’t know if he’d turn out to be the hero I wanted for Emma. Happy to say he was all that and more in the end.

There are definitely people to loathe here. But… you should discover all those delightful, juicy details for yourself firsthand. I had a great time back in the Eden Empire world. Had the chance to see old friends, got to know others a bit better and had such fun with Emma and Daniel. I would not hesitate to recommend A CINDERELLA SEDUCTION to any Romance reader who loves a good story, intriguing family dynamics and a couple you will root for to find their happy ever after in spite of everyone else.

The author gifted me a copy of this title for review purposes — that I also purchased my own digital copy for my Kindle on release day should tell you just how much I loved this story.

I haven't read a Harlequin in quite a while, but the plot for A Cinderella Seduction pulled me in and it was definitely worth the read.

Its a Cinderella-ish story with two half sisters and a rags to riches heroine, who is now a department store heiress. Its the 2nd book in the Eden Empire mini series.

Emma was an interesting heroine. She's smart but still has traces of vulnerability and naivete. That's really what I loved about her, and unlike Cinderella, she doesn't completely bow to the wishes of her sisters though she has a strong desire to be part of a family

At a huge fashion event she's left to her own devices. That's where she meets Daniel Stone, son of her family's revival department store/enemy. There's a strange family feud going on and no one is quite sure if the relationship growing between the two is real or if Daniel has something sinister in mind.

The chemistry between the two is instant and when they come together everything is electric and hot, very very hot!

To make things more interesting when her sister Mindy's boyfriend starts making trouble for them. I really hated Sam, and I'm not sure how he's going to figure in to the next book because he was an absolute jerk.

The real fairy tale nature of the story is how perfect the relationship between the two becomes even though both families are mostly against it. (More on one side than the other)

What Daniel does to keep Emma really warmed my heart. This was fabulous story!

I used to read Harlequin romance when I was much younger, back in the previous millennium. I hadn't read one in a long time. I was delightfully surprised at the emotional depth of this story. It is about a lot of things, not just the romance. It is about family in the broadest sense, what family means to us and what we owe our families simply by being a part of them. What happens when our needs conflict with the needs of our family? The hero and heroine in this story are good people placed in a bad situation. The heroine is trying to come to grips with her new position in her long-lost family, and the hero has long-standing issues with his mother that have been exacerbated since his older brother's death. Since their families have had a rivalry for generations, a relationship between them may not be acceptable to their families. So, will they risk what they have now for the future happiness they could possibly have? I might have made these issues seem straightforward, but they are actually quite complex in the book. The author did an excellent job of juggling the warring emotions and the tribalism that both the main characters have to face.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Their long lost sister is settling in ... and steeling the spotlight! Emma is trying to get to know her new-found sisters Sophie and Mindy, but isn't exactly sure how to meander the difficulty of not having been a part of them over the years. One seems friendly and helpful, the other seems to ignore her as much as possible. Will she be able to win them over or will the fact that she's falling for the enemy put her in danger of blowing the sisterhood up before she even feels like a member? Fun series!

Emma Stewart is trying her best to settle into a new life after being made an equal part heiress to the Eden department store fortune along with the two sisters she didn't know she had. She's not used to the money, the prestige or the powerful game of cat and mouse that she seems to find herself in the middle of.

British heir Daniel Stone is in New York on his mother's behalf. She wants to open a new store, and sticking it to her long-time rivals at Eden's is just icing on the cake. Imagine his surprise when the woman he's drawn to at a party one night just happens to be the newest sister. It's convenient to try to get inside information, but he's too busy falling hard for her to try to play the game.

I’m a sucker for a fairy tale retelling, and Cinderella has always been THE fairy tale that I judge all other stories against. This Emma feels very different from the girl we barely got to meet at the end of the first book. This Emma is nothing like that curt, angry young woman; she’s vivacious and charming, and just so bloody earnest. Daniel is a man facing Solomon’s Dilemma: either he can make his mother happy or he can be happy for himself. As the situation stands, these two are mutually exclusive outcomes. And I had to feel for Daniel; he was in a Catch-22 with no easy solution in sight. I loved watching this pair fall for each other. It was so adorably sweet. I thought Emma was a bit naïve at times, but I can’t say that I’d behave a lot differently when faced with similar circumstances. Likewise, I thought Daniel came off as a bit of a wimp when facing his mother a lot of the time, yet I know I didn’t handle my own overbearing family any differently. These things that sound like criticisms actually made me connect with and love these characters even more. I can’t wait to see what in store for the next Eden sister.

Emma may be the princess, but will Daniel be the prince?
I love Harlequin Desires stories and especially authors who write in dual point of view! Karen is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! Emma inherits an equal share of Eden’s with her 2 stepsisters when their grandma passes. Emma meets Daniel in the elevator of their building one morning and tries to start a conversation with him, but gives up after his monosyllabic answers. When Emma sees Daniel at the Empire State Fashion show, she heads his way after they make eye contact. The two hit it off until Emma has a wardrobe malfunction to which Daniel comes to the rescue. When the press releases the photo of the two of them, they discover their companies are sworn enemies. Can they continue to enjoy their time together or will their companies and families step between them? You have to read to find out and will enjoy the steam and plot twists.

I just loved how this gave a nod to the Cinderella story but also is its own story, Emma is trying to fit in with her new way of life however isn't use to all the flashiness of it and is wary of her 2 sisters Mindy and Sophie. It was good we got bit of a glimpse at the sisters to see what they were like but it still felt hard to decide if they really wanted Emma around or not and then there is Daniel and his motives. Daniel is trying his best to prove he is as good a son as his brother but his mother is far to busy with her old grudge to care how he feels. There is some good laughs, some cringe worthy moments along with some heartbreak and hope that has you hooked until the end and In just love the scene in the plane at the end it cracked me up! 😂😂

This is book two of the Eden Empire Series and it’s Emma and Daniels story. Emma was introduced in book one when Sophie and Mindy learned that their cousin was actually their half-sister. There was a lot of drama at the reading of grandma’s will. Now Emma is dealing with a whole world she wasn’t raised in. She didn’t have the money or clothing that the other two Eden girls were raised on. She was the family secret and now she’s in the spotlight which is not where she wants to be. Emma is a shy girl and doesn’t like to be the center of attention.

Emma meets Daniel and they start falling for each other. The problem is that they are from feuding families. Daniels family is in competition with Eden’s department store. Will love to save the day or will their families keep them apart?

I really liked this book. You start to see the three sister’s relationship start to develop. At the beginning of the book Sophie and Mindy make Emma feel excluded. Mindy was the worst of the two and I was really starting to hate her. Thankfully she turns around and surprises me so I’m looking forward to starting her book.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

A Cinderella Seduction is the second in The Eden Empire series but can also be a stand alone story. This is a story of trying to find your place within the family unit and finding peace with yourself. Emma Stewart is not only trying to fit in with her two half sisters but also prove herself capable of succeeding in the family business. Daniel Stone is trying to overcome his deceased brother's shadow in the family business and prove himself worthy of taking over. Emma and Daniel's families have been in a business feud for years but with their growing affection, they are trying to find a way to be together. The story that follows is filled with drama, laughs, love and happily ever after. Karen Booth is a new to me author but I will definitely be reading more of her stories, as she is a fantastic storyteller.

This is a really sweet story, Emma is the newest member in the Eden family and only learnt she had sisters when the head of the family and company dies and leaves her a third of the company.

Emma meets Daniel and is immediately attracted to the British man, but the reason he's in town is to open a rival store. Can these two overcome the family drama and rivalry to have a real HEA?

The storyline is interesting and sweet, the characters are incredibly likable and really a bit naive. The story is well-written, and even though it is the second story in The Eden Empire series it can be read as a standalone.

Here is another author I have not read before with this being not the norm either on what I read. The retail part intrigued me with having seen this author around though I would try this one. Her characters are ones you can grab onto and follow willingly through their story. Emma and Daniel entertain you in this one. Do not know why this empire picked my interest but it did. The attraction between the two is like a slow boil but has us simmering also. Some of that though was due to Daniel who got me giving him the one eye once in awhile. If family is important to you this one will be a good match for to read. Other ones in this make for a balanced read. Of course it would not be any good without the drama which is plenty. Enjoyed from beginning to end.

A Cinderella Seduction is the second in the Eden Empire series by Karen Booth. Emma Stewart's just discovered she's an heiress, and with her newfound sisters, are part of Manhattan's reigning retail dynasty. She's feeling off-kilter and out of her league. When one of her command-performance events lands her in delicious Daniel Stone's arms, she's swept off her feet.

Daniel's completely charmed by Emma even before he realizes who she is. When he realizes she's part of the family his mother's determined to destroy, his loyalties are torn.

I definitely enjoyed Ms Booth's showing the sisters getting to know each other and strengthening their bonds. And Daniel's grand gesture is one to sweep you off your feet ;)

Cinderella Seduction by Karen Booth is the second book in the Eden Sisters trilogy and a modern Romeo and Juliet story. Daniel Stone and Emma Eden come from a long family feud. It doesn't matter that they have so much chemistry that they may combust within sight of one another. These two are destined for doom. His mother has so much hatred for her deceased grandmother that the only thing the two of them will ever be able to accomplish is a short term tryst. I love watching these two star crossed lovers beat the odds. Such a great read.

A Cinderella Seduction

The author put a marvelous flare on a Cinderella story spiced up with seduction and conflict between family loyalty and love. A Cinderella Seduction held my attention from the beginning to the end. I liked how the author showed Emma’s and Daniel’s interaction with their family members and how their pass demons are now dictating how they are dealing with their family businesses.
A Cinderella Seduction is the second installment to the Eden Empire series, but I was able to read it as a standalone novel. This is the first book that I have read in this series, but it won’t be my last because It's Just That Good!

A Cinderella Seduction By Karen Booth
Emma Stewart and Daniel Stone are the main characters. Emma recently discovered that she was part of the Eden family and Daniel is a Stone. He is out for revenge and falls in love instead. Emma is just not sure how to fit in since she was not raised as an Eden. Daniel is there for revenge for his mom who really disliked Victoria Eden who had recently died and that was when Emma found out that she was an Eden. I really enjoyed this book and it made me want to read more of this series. I received and arc for an honest review. I recommend this book it was very good.

But little do they know that their families have been enemies for a long time. Will their budding attraction survive. Can the attraction that burns so hot build a bride to mending the hate. Emma is part of the Eden Dynasty and Daniel is part of the Stone Dynasty, when they meet they don't know that they are rival companies. When they find out about each other and because they have an instant connection and chemistry between them they carry on seeing each other. Will this spell disaster for them or will they be able to trust each other. This is the first book that I have read by Karen but definitely not the last and I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.

A difficult situation!

A real Cinderella story occurs when Emma finds out that she has sisters and is heir to a department store. Meeting Daniel, she has no idea that he could threaten the very existence of the store and is set to cause trouble for the family. Will he continue to do as his mother bids or will his attraction for Emma stop his plans?

The author has created a great storyline and I am now waiting for the third book in the Eden Empire series.

It is nice to read a book that has main characters that aren't out to seek revenge! Karen Booth's book, A Cinderella Seduction, centers on Emma who is now running Eden's department store with her step sisters--Sophie and Mindy. Emma meets British, Daniel Stone, who is in New York scouting locations to open his family's department store--Stone's. These two don't want any part of their families' decades long feud. This is their sweet story of finding a way to make their relationship work. I enjoyed it.

He’s in New York.

To open up a store. His family’s chain is in the UK, but Daniel is in the states to open a branch stateside and to find Nora and help put Eden’s out of competition.

Daniel meets Emma, a numbers cruncher who works at Eden’s and she causes him to rethink his no ladies policy.

Will five days show Emma and Daniel they have what it takes to make with obstacles in their way?
