Manwhore +1 is the highly anticipated sequel to Manwhore. After the cliffhanger in book one, I was excited to get my hands on this one. I enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward to the next book (Ms. Manwhore) but I will say I was happy where this book ended. There was no cliffhanger like the first!

Rachel Livingston has it bad for Malcolm Saint. After spending her time getting to know him for her article/exposé she was writing, she did the unthinkable. She fell for him.

 photo 2e687bdf-0b4e-4a16-98d0-92cbe55d49d1_zpsdxncfayg.jpg

The problem is this couple hasn’t spoken. Saint felt betrayed by Rachel I’m sure, and even with her article where she laid herself bare, she hasn’t heard from him. It’s hurting her heart, but she understands. Then, she gets drawn back in. Back into Malcolm Saint’s vortex. All those feelings of love, attraction, want and need come back at full force.
“Do you think of me sometimes when you don’t want to…. do you need me… do you still feel me?”

“I feel you everywhere.”

 photo b314da95-e3be-4645-b6cf-71bc8b8d5575_zps4rnbcawb.jpg

I enjoyed this one. I like both Saint and Rachel’s characters. Rachel is strong and independent, and Malcolm Saint is just a force to be reckoned with. I was happy to get more of them both. I did like that Rachel fought for Malcolm but also stood up to him when it came to her work. I love a strong heroine and a swoony hero! For some reason, I liked the first book in this series a bit more. It had more of a build up, a little more angst and such. This one was sweet, romantic and steamy. Which is never a bad combination, I just wanted a little more. I love Katy Evan’s writing. Her stories are consistently good and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.

He is unattainable, and yet he's all my fantasies, all my dreams, put into one single human being, with warm flesh and a thudding heart and a beautiful face with a mouthwateringly muscled body.

Book one ends with Rachel's world falling apart. She was exposed before she had the chance to come clean to Malcolm. In an effort to make amends, she opens up her soul to him in an article that is posted in Edge, which is a public apology but also a love letter to Mr Malcolm Saint.

For almost the first half of the book we are left wondering, will Malcolm forgive Rachel. I was feeling the despair poor Rachel must have been stricken with thinking that she'd never be in the arms of her Sin! BUT, as soon as he utters the word "DIBS" , we are floating on a cloud of happiness for the rest of the story!!!

 photo 20c53db5ac49ba5b1f7cae7f9665988a_zpsfjwzjbui.jpg

Rachel does have another dilemma to deal with. She has to leave Edge, since Malcolm's father intends to buy the magazine. Malcolm offers her a job with his company, but she wants to stand on her own two feet without the assistance of her billionaire boyfriend.

I took my time reading this one because I wanted to savor every last moment with Malcolm Saint. This installment was just as amazing as book one with an incredible amount of smoking hot steam!!! One thing I've learned is that Katy Evans knows how to create a book boyfriend who will steal your heart and will be completely unforgettable.

LOVED this series!!!!
Bring on book 3!!!!

“Manwhore + 1” is the second installment in Katie Evans’s new series, ‘Manwhore’ and picks up right where the first book ends. Book1 ends with a cliffhanger, a big and good one IMO because I wasn’t annoyed by it like I usually am. It was interesting and left me wanting more.

In the previous book we get to know Rachel and Malcolm, the two main characters of this series. Rachel, a columnist gets the opportunity of a lifetime – to write an expose about the hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, Malcolm Saint, a young, handsome, successful billionaire, who has a manwhore reputation. At first he was just an assignment, but as she got to know Malcolm, the man, she fell for him fast and hard.

“I wasn’t looking to fall in love, I wasn’t looking to lose my mind and common sense over the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen, I wasn’t looking to drive myself crazy with lust.”

Rachel haven’t seen Malcolm in four weeks. She misses him, she regrets what she did and she feels like she made the biggest mistake of her life. While Malcolm was honest with her, she betrayed him in the worst possible way.

“Saint is offering me . . . the world. But a world without him is nothing now.”

Malcolm shocks the hell out of Rachel when he offers her a job. She doesn’t want or need this job he has to offer. She just wants and needs him. At first, Malcolm is a little cold toward her, but their relationship starts to change gradually as Malcolm tries to make Rachel accepting the job and starts to forgive her.

description

I really don’t want to give too much away about the plot, so you’ll need to read this book for yourself to find out what happens next between these characters.

“In a world where he can buy anything he wants, I’m his littlest thing. And he’s my biggest, grandest thing.”

description

I enjoyed this installment more than the previous one. What I enjoyed the most (I think) in this second book was the hero, Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. I really hurt for him. He trusted Rachel with everything he is, only to be betrayed. Saint is a complicated man, yet he’s different from other men Rachel met. He’s calm and calculated, intense, thoughtful and attentive and so damn sweet. I liked him a lot. I loved how much he loves Rachel, how protective he was with her and how much he wanted to give her anything she wants. He really was a swoon worthy hero.

I liked Rachel more in this installment. She knows what she did was wrong, unforgivable. She regrets what she did to Sin and to herself as well, but she’s ready to do anything for his forgiveness. IMO, Rachel’s character growth is well done in this second book. She learnt how to be independent, how to stand for herself and for the man she loves and also how to be proud of who she is and where she stands.

“I wanted to know everything. I wanted to breathe him. Live him.”

I loved Sin and Rachel together. There’s no doubt that they are good for each other. Their interactions were always so good and also believable and overall they were two endearing characters. The sexual tension and chemistry between them are so well done and the passion between them is fantastic. Needless to say, the sexy times were hot as fuck. This author knows how to write a sexy scene and this installment have plenty of them.

Overall, this was a fantastic read and I can’t wait to read more about these characters in the next installment.

2 STARS! ★★

I'm probably in the absolute minority with this book but this one just failed to impress me on so many levels. Granted I didn't love the first book as much but I had an inkling of hope that the 2nd one could redeem itself after that cliffhanger in the first read.

I went in expecting there'd be some form of angst or intensity with Saint being pissed at Rachel or Rachel doing a lot of grovelling from what happened in Book 1. But nope. Zilch. Nada. Everything seemed to have fall back into place just as fast. It was almost like there was no repercussions from the blown up disaster of events in the first book. All I got ended up to be cheesy dialogues and a plotline that fell flat till I ended skimming a good portion of the read.

Thought the plot to be underdeveloped because other than Sin's father being up to no good, there wasn't anything more substantial than the romance. I just needed more to go on with. So yeah, I'm disappointed and underwhelmed with how this sequel turned out to be. Highly doubt I'll follow through with the last one.

Manwhore +1 is the 2nd book in the Manwhore series.

God, this man. He's a Bermuda Triangle of my life and I got lost there, never to be found.

I've been waiting with bated breath for the conclusion of this story since the cliffhanger in Manwhore. Katy Evans seems to be my frug of choice whenever I need a good dose of a magnetic and all encompassing alpha. And let me just tell you, Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint is certainly a mouthful, in more ways than one. *waggles eyebrows*

The story picks up practically right after Manwhore ended. Rachel is pining after Malcolm after her betrayal of his trust. Unbeknownst to her, her rival from the magazine ran the story that she was supposed to but no longer had the heart to; ultimately shattering Sin's trust in her. Talk about the worst way to find out that the woman you were falling her was basically a reporter undercover working on the ultimate story; you. Rachel no longer cares about anything but getting Malcolm back. She's put her heart on the line with the article she printed but Malcolm is definitely slow to thaw...
I wanted to know everything. I wanted to breathe him. Live him.

When four weeks after their falling out Sin calls her to his office to talk, the last thing she expects is for him to offer her a job. She doesn't want to work for him, she wants his heart and his forgiveness. But she knows that she'll have to work with it. But there's outside forces at work too and the failing magazine she works at may now fall into the clutches of Malcolm's father. What's a girl to do?
I just walked into the eye of the most powerful storm of my life. No. Not a storm. A hurricane.

I have to say that while I enjoyed this book, I definitely enjoyed the first one more. Rachel was like a walking hormone throughout the entire story. You hear how hot Sin is, how much she wants him, lusty thoughts, lusty thoughts, lusty thoughts. There was A LOT of lusty thoughts.

There was also a lot of Sin husking things. He husks practically every sentence he utters. Not that I'll complain about that since he was my favorite part of the book.
Do you think of me sometimes when you don't want to...do you need me...do you still feel me?"
"I feel you everywhere."

One thing I did love about this book was the romance...and Malcolm. Lawd did I love me some Malcolm. There are just some alphas that will stick with you for the long haul, and Sin is that alpha for me.

I found parts of the book to be dragging and skimmed quite a bit. But this may also be my book ADD kicking in. I'm not really a reader that enjoys reading about the same couple for more than one book, unless I find that the second or third books feel truly necessary to the story. While I can see why it was split in two books and I enjoyed it, I think I could have done with this one being more of a novella. I just didn't find that the story had that much meat to it. It was an entertaining and sinfully sexy read, but just not the all encompassing one I was hoping for.

While it may not have been perfect, it was still a great conclusion to the story. I adored the epilogue and I really did love Malcolm and the walking hormone Rachel together. A highly satisfying conclusion to a fantastic story and one I'd recommend to all fans of this wonderful author.
"I can't breathe when you're near, but I can't live without you."

Manwhore +1 is a book I have been eagerly anticipating ever since I devoured its predecessor and with an ending that built so much anticipation, it was a forgone conclusion I would be delving back in at the first possible chance.

There are many reasons why the Manwhore series has been such a success for me and most of them include Malcolm Saint. But, alas, for reasons that do not include mentally undressing our male hero, it's down to the author. I absolutely love Katy's talent when it comes to writing about her couples in love. The passion and intensity make it very tempting to jostle my way to the front of the queue elbowing other contenders out of the way for our heroes affections.

 photo B858239A-1E61-4EA8-908B-67BA2DCA1ADF_zpsklkcymrt.jpg

Malcolm is just as divine and his vulnerability shown as a result of Rachel's dishonesty make him all the more endearing. I'm hard pressed to find a man more deliciously devilish than Malcolm Saint. He's the perfect balance of sweet and sinful and I'm delighted that I'll have another crack at him see more from him in Ms. Manwhore.

Title: manwhore+1
Series: Manwhore #2
Author: Katy Evans
Release date: July 7, 2015
Cliffhanger: No
HEA

Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Saint or Sinner? Maybe a little of both. He's the kind of man you revere and fear all at the same time. He's the kind of man who built himself an empire and isn't afraid to leave casualties in his wake. And if you cross him, don't expect a second chance because he doesn't forgive and forget. If you read Manwhore, you know that the cliffhanger leaves Rachel in a very desperate spot.

God, I'm in so deep. So very deep I'm almost frightened but he makes me reckless enough to want to go even deeper.

She thought she was playing a game, holding all the cards. But the game turned back around on her and she found herself destroyed by her own deceit. What I wanted to know was, how would she ever extricate herself from this disaster of her own making?

Rachel is a reporter who was doing an exposé on Malcolm Saint, Chicago's most powerful bachelor and known player. In the course of getting close to him, she developed feelings she never planned on and everything splintered in the space of an instant. She wasn't planning on his magnetism, his drive, and his razor sharp need to conquer all focused on her. She never stood a chance.

Saint is undoubtedly one of my favorite heroes this year. Even though the book is entirely from Rachel's POV, I was Team Saint all the way. This impenetrable fortress of a man let down his walls and left himself bare, only to get a knife in the back for it. So naturally, I needed a lot from the heroine in order for her to redeem herself in my eyes.

I hurt this beautiful, ambitious, intelligent, generous, caring man. I used to rest my cheek where I could hear his heart. Now it's locked behind iron doors and ten-foot walls that I put there.

In the beginning of the book, Rachel is summoned back to Saint's inner sanctum after weeks of silence. Rather than the angry retaliation she was expecting, she gets coldness and...a job offer? I'm not going to give much more away about the plot, but I will say that nothing happens in the way you'd expect. Where Saint's motivations were at this point were heartening and painful all at the same time. I felt so much for what he'd been put through publicly-the betrayal was absolutely stinging. But the force of their attraction was as heavy as ever, and it wasn't fading no matter how much they tried to battle it's hold.

Probably my favorite thing about this author's writing is her ability to convey the angst and other varying emotions so thoroughly. Her words are an overload on your senses. Sharp, and concise. You can touch, smell, taste, see, and hear everything in that room that those characters are experiencing. The passion was incredibly explosive. I have no complaints in that regard. This couple consumed each other without a single touch. You just know when that sexual tension finally broke, it would be panty melting and they did NOT disappoint.

He's staring at me with such intensity, it almost feels like he doesn't know if he wants to kiss me, spank me, or fuck the hell out of me. Yes please.

As much as I loved the detail in Rachel's thoughts and feelings, at the same time, I felt like her inner lusting could have been cut down somewhat. I mean, I get it. Saint is....sheer male perfection. Who can blame her? But for me, the middle of the book slowed down considerably and I think this was one of the reasons why. Another thing that reduced my rating was the secondary characters. Saint's two best friends needed work in my opinion. Tahoe and Callan were supposed to be sophisticated, wealthy businessmen, but they came off more like oversexed frat boys with too much time on their hands. All they ever wanted to do was go clubbing and get laid. We don't see any detail in their real personalities, it left me feeling there was a lot lacking there. Especially since Tahoe and Gina's attraction hints at a future book. Give me a little something more to build on please!

In regards to Gina (Rachel's best friend), however, I felt like her character was MUCH improved from the first book. She was that annoying career driven, woman who won't allow a man close and wouldn't stand for her friend to want that either. She was always interjecting herself between Rachel and Saint at the worst moments in the previous book. But she's come to a place where she not only has come to accept them together, but she's even supportive and encouraging.

All in all, I enjoyed this book and I was satisfied with how these two characters were brought together. It was captivating watching them tentatively discover one another again. The flow of the story lagged for me in the middle, but not enough to bother me overmuch. I would still recommend this series to anyone who love Katy Evans' Real series. That same level of intensity and incredible alpha male was present here that I honestly didn't feel in her books since.

And if you're worried about the hero's manwhore status, don't be. Saint's focus in both books has one target, and one alone. These books are electrifying, sensual, and the epilogue...exquisite!! Turning the last page left a huge smile on my face, a big win in my book.

This second installment begins immediately after the end of the first. After Saint’s found out Rachel’s secret and completely cut her of his life he suddenly calls her back with a proposal.
He has a job offer for her.
But Rachel doesn’t want a job. Nor she wants work with Malcolm after everything. She wants him back and will do everything to make him forgive her,
And this time she has no secrets and nothing to lose.

Despite loving sequels on one hand, on another hand I’m always a little hesitant of them being full of unnecessary drama that will ruin the whole story in my eyes. If you possess the same fear as I, you’ll be happy to know that this sequel is even better than the first book. I can’t remember a time when a second installment grabbed my attention so much that I could barely take my eyes off my kindle. The writing is amazing, nobody writes a slow-burn sexual tension like Katy Evans and if you like the beginning of Saint and Rachel’s story, you can’t miss this book. And in case you haven’t met them yet, I strongly advise you to go read Manwhore.

Rating: 4 Stars.
Characters Development: First of all, I really liked Rachel this season. She didn’t try to hide her mistakes, but instead accepted that she screw up and tried to redeem himself. That for me shows me a brave heroine, even with her insecurities. Malcolm was very close in this last book, and despite being it as well in this one, I like how we were able to see a more human and vulnerable side of him, especially when he was torn between his feelings for Rachel and his need to not forgive her after everything. The best surprise for me was, however, Gina. I hated her in the last book and I really thought she couldn’t b a worst friend even if she tried. Luckily she was way more friendly and supportive this book. I sense a next installment between her and one of Malcolm’s best friend and it’s a book I’ll definitely read.

Rachel Livingston is a woman who has always cared more about her career than her personal life, but when she takes an assignment to write an expose about billionaire playboy Malcolm Saint, her whole world changes. She falls head over heels in love with this elusive, ruthless, irresistible man! She wasn't looking for love, but Saint shows her a side of himself that is tender & vulnerable and she can't help but let him into her heart.

When Malcolm finds out Rachel has been investigating him for a story he is hurt, so he ends things with her. Rachel hasn't seen him in four weeks since everything blew up in her face. She is desperate to see Malcolm & explain things. She just wants a chance to apologize, & try to earn back his trust & beg for another chance.

-He's everything I never knew I wanted and more.

-His smile, when he sees me, is the kind that stops traffic. And now it stops my heart.

-I remember every moment with him, like a treasure and like a punishment.

-He is my obsession and my addiction, the only place I feel both safe and exhilarated.

-I hate that he must have felt that I was just like everyone else in his life, wanting to get something from him.

Malcolm feels very betrayed by Rachel, but he can't turn off his feelings for her. He is addicted to her, & finally lets her slowly get close to him again. I loved how hard Rachel had to work for it to get him back. This is my top book boyfriend! Lol, I'm even Mel Saint in my GR profile pic. I have enjoyed this series so much! They can call me whatever they'd like, it doesn't change anything. I'm his plus one... and he's my everything.

I have to admit, I thought I was never going to love the second book of this series the way I adored the first, but the ending of Manwhore +1 totally changed my overall feelings toward this book. It was so beautiful that it left a smile on my face.

Manwhore +1 is the continuation of Manwhore. In this book, Malcolm and Rachel's story continues after the insane cliffhanger the first book left us.

The first half of this book did not have much else going on, except for the fact that Rachel tried to win him back by proving to him that she regretted what she did. What happened in most parts were plenty of sex and making-outs. But I have to give credits to Katy Evans for pulling everything off by making the second half of the book more meaningful and with emotional depth. I was satisfied.

I admire Rachel's character here, especially when she proved that she's not dependent on Malcom and his money and she chose to pursue her career by doing it on her own. What just made me roll my eyes was her inconsistency sometimes. Sometimes she was so obsessed with Malcom but there were also times when she was holding back even though Saint was so into her. In the end though, she turned out a better character and that's what's important, right?

My favorite of this book is of course, Malcom Saint. Well, who doesn't want a perfect man who definitely stands out among other characters? If not for him, this book and this series would have been so dull.

I enjoyed this book so much. It has a perfect ending. I'm still on high right now! It's just so hard to move on when you're reading a great book. *sigh*

What is it like to fall for the most Sexiest and known Manwhore of Chicago just to have him taken away because you didn't tell the truth? Well that's what happened to Rachel at the end of Manwhore.

Small Re-cap
Rachel in Manwhore is part of a news reporting paper. She was employed to find the dirt on the Man that EVERYONE wants, yet she didn't expect to fall hook line and sinker for him . Nor did she expect to loose herself in him in the process. Therefore at the end of Manwhore we're left on one hell of a Cliffy. I was nervous as hell about this book. Actually, I nearly said no to the ARC but you know my inner self said YESS being pushed in the right direction sure as hell gave me the closure I was dying for and I LOVED this book HARD. I rated Manwhore 4 stars but this was a 6 star Epic read the tables really did turn and I was spellbounded by Malcolm and #Sigh HIM.

I'm not going to tell you the story as such just tell you my thoughts and feelings...

Rachel is somewhat low and unsure of where she is in the world right now, after messing up what she had with Saint she is now being made to go back into her old life, boring columns on fashion and such and how to feel about ones self except wherever she goes whoever she's with she FEELS HIM she breathes HIM and she miss's HIM.

I started to turn the pages and I knew this was going to be a good read actually a message to one of my book buddies went like this @10%...

Do you know what's torture? Not being able to put anything on social media about this book, well anything story telling anyways??

Let me tell you Manwhore was 4 Stars this one is blowing me away I'm telling you.

Tears tears aghhhh Tears do I need to go on? just some of my random comments to Layla who kept me sane really.....

I was Intoxicated with him I found falling deeper and deeper for Saint and then Malcolm and who he really is, can I just say he is EVERYTHING you will WANT and everything you will DREAM of, who he is, what he is, the person he IS, and he is a credit to Katy for capturing my heart with his special heart but in the pages of the book He is a true credit to his mum for bringing up such a loving, caring, loyal and beautiful SOUL.

All in all I fell for Malcolm and I fell for Rachel too how she fought for her Man she stood up on two strong feet and learned how to walk for her man and then for herself. she learnt how to be independent and love HIM. Then how she worked out who she was in the news and reporting world, and at the same time who she truly was. I am awed by both characters and by the flawless writing that In My Opinion after reading Manwhore this one has just grown and Katy had a Depth to the meaning behind the words....

Gahhh just read it peeps savour it, enjoy it and LIVE it.

SPELL BINDING.
HEART MELTING.
INTOXICATING.

Sigh... **closes eyes and simply smiles**

These two characters. I have no words. Rachel and Malcolm continue to cast their spell on me. I feel dazzled by all that they are and I ADORE them with everything in me. They make my body flutter in pure delight, their romance so decadent it gives me shivers just thinking about it. I love living in their world. Malcolm's juicy ghost kisses and Rachel's shy blushes, God, they're so sweet. Pure sugary goodness that makes you happy.

That's it: This book makes you HAPPY. This series feels amazing and the story is so sensual, so romantic, so beautiful, it brings you a joy that's easy to get lost in!

It's safe to say Katy Evans has hit it out of the park with this sequel. There is definitely drama and wounds to heal after the first book but it's done with such precision and raw honesty that I have fallen even more in love with Malcolm Saint. AND I DIDN'T THINK THAT WAS POSSIBLE, not with how much I LOVED him in the first place.

BUT I am.
I'm in love.
And I want a Sin of my own!!!

Goodness me!

After reading Manwhore, there was no doubt that that was my most favorite read of the year. It was everything. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. I WANTED. And I had huge expectations for Manwhore + 1. They were mountainess in size and I'm so very, very, very happy to say that Katy has delivered! She gave me an even more perfect book, rounding out the most perfectly, perfect series I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

It was HEAVEN.
PURE, HEAVENLY, HEAVEN.

There's lust and swoon, romance and sex, feels that are tornadic in nature, and a depth of heart in these characters that takes my breath away. Add to all that, writing that steals you and the combination is combustible.

It's flawless.

Katy still brings angst, but has kept that fiery romance and seductive sizzle we fell in love with when reading the first book.

It's so good, you guys.
SO, SO, SO incredibly, deliciously, good.

I LOVE Malcolm.
I LOVE Rachel.
I LOVE this story.
I LOVE this sequel.

And I guarantee, when you're done you are going to feel like you've been doused with a feel good potion.

It's the best. Euphoric.

A book high that keeps you buzzing for weeks after it's done.

Simply put: this sequel ROCKED. And I cannot imagine people not loving and clinging to every freaking word.

What a wonderful ending to this delicious story!!!

Loved it!!!

 photo 6e3ce5e8-039f-448f-917c-96d41ca2b13e_zpsaddn7ncg.jpg

After that cliffhanger ending I could NOT wait to dig into this second book and even though I loved the first installment this
+ 1 was my absolute favorite.

Rachel is trying to win her Saint back after her mission was revealed very publicly and left her sweet man with a broken heart. She has been trying to reach out to him for almost a month, without any success but when she's about to give up he contacts her, with a very different proposition.

Will Rachel be able to win back Malcolm's trust and heart while trying to save her career or will she have to chose one over the other? Can a girl have both love and a successful career?

I'm very happy to report that this book does not end on a cliffhanger but with

I'm really looking forward to more books from this series, Manwhore #1 and 2 were total winners for me. I highly recommend!!!

Sigh, Oh Mr. Saint. Can I fly to Chicago and let you have your way with me? MEGA SIGH. Manwhore +1 is the concluding story to Manwhore series. Manwhore +1 picks up RIGHT where Manwhore left off. Rachel is requested by Malcom to see him at his office. This is right after Rachel’s love letter to Malcom.

I was on pins and needles the whole summer waiting for the second book! What is Malcom going to do? Will Malcom take her back? What is going through Rachel’s head? Was the love letter enough? So many things were going through my head and I was going crazy.

When Malcom first sees Rachel after not speaking to her for weeks, he’s cold, indifferent and clearly hurt. How could Rachel do that to him?! Now, Rachel needs to win him back and she’s doing everything she can to do it.
Saint, I don’t want you to exorcise me, because nothing can exorcise me of you.

Saint is obviously upset, but he has every right to be. I love Saint and after what Rachel did, you just feel for the couple and are rooting for them to work it out. Saint makes an offer to Rachel (completely not related to the relationship) and Rachel doesn’t know how she feels about it. Even though Rachel is trying to get Saint back, she is still the Rachel I love. She’s still strong, sassy and very independent.

About midway the book shifts and I really enjoyed it. The tone and pace changed and I felt like the characters were moving in a different direction. I would describe it as sugary sweet and completely addictive.

I see a girl who didn’t know what she was getting into with me. I see a girl I can’t forget

I’m in so deep. So very deep I’m almost frightened but he makes me reckless enough to want to go even deeper.

Saint continues to work on his trust issues towards Rachel and Rachel continues to work towards showing Saint he can trust her. I enjoyed this book a lot. Then again, I love ALL Katy Evan’s books. Her writing is just best. She creates this lovable, crush worthy characters and I wonder where she gets all of these ideas. I love how she pushes buttons and makes you consumed by her books.

If you are a fan of this series, this was the PERFECT conclusion, but wait! There’s an extended novella coming out soon. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into Ms. Manwhore.

OMG...I was so happy to finally continue reading about Rachel and Malcolm especially with how the first book ended! I knew there would be drama but I was prepared for how intense things were.

Heck, Malcolm is just so passionate and oh so very yummy! He is just steaming off the pages. Pheeewww! And just knowing he's been hurt makes you want to hug him even more.

I do have to say that I think Rachel paid the price...I just wasn't expecting Malcolm to handled things the way he did. I do like that he kept Rachel guessing but I didn't like that he often talked about all the girls he's had...even if they were joking!

description

And I think the author went a bit overboard talking about his green eyes...66 times! I hate that it went from a wonderful quality to something I cringed at. Thankfully, she was much better in the second half of the book.

The "other" drama that we knew was coming...happens. No real surprises there and although I figured Malcolm would do something like he did, it was just sooo sweet!

One of the best parts was the dinner with Rachel's Mom. I loved how Malcolm was and how he enjoyed every minute of it. The scene after was pretty "yummy" too. ;)

description

The ending was wonderful, again, we all saw that coming but nobody does it better than Malcolm. ~sigh~ I only wish we could've gotten a little bit of his POV.

Next up is Ms. Manwhore and it's coming out on October 5, 2015!

I wasn't a fan of the cheesy, over-the-top, eye-roll-inducing dialogue. It's disappointing because I honestly believe this could have been so much better, but the ridiculous dialogue was too much for me. I mean, everything else was okay, but the conversations felt a bit too forced, and they just rubbed me the wrong way.

“Do you think it’s this intense between us because of what happened?” I whisper.

His lips feather across mine again. “I don’t know . . . but I’m pursuing it. I’ll take this fire any day over the ice I live in.”

Seriously. It did not make me swoon at all. Actually, it made me skim through so many paragraphs at a time. But hey, maybe it's just me.

There is just something about this story that doesn't work for me. I am a fan of Katy Evans and enjoy her style of writing, but in this particular series, the characters didn't give me any emotion and even the sexy times were just meh. I guess that is just how the cookie crumbles.

Manwhore + 1 (Manwhore #2) by Katy Evans
5 stars!!

“You’re the only heaven I will ever know, Rachel...and if you were a hell, I’d sin my whole life just to stay with you.”

Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint, gah this man, I just love him, that is the one thing synonymous with a Katy Evans book and that is she always writes lovable characters. It was no secret he was a player in his time but it took one woman to knock him off his feet and he hasn’t been the same since. After the ending of Manwhore I was afraid, these two were obviously meant to be together, they fitted, they clicked, they complemented each other, but after that ending could Saint forgive, or would he forget?

To say I have been on tenterhooks would be an understatement, what would Saint do? What would Rachel do? Did Saint see Rachel’s article? Katy Evans left us in limbo so I was itching to read this book; I needed to be put out of my misery.

“There’s always something beautiful breeding in the darkness and the pain.”

We all know the main trait that Saint needs in those close to him is trust. It is the one thing he insists upon, it is the most important thing to Saint and Rachel blew it in Manwhore. Even if Rachel were to see him again would she be able to rebuild what she demolished? Rachel is extremely remorseful, she cannot believe that she so royally screwed up, but at the end of the day she was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Her intentions were good, but the shit hit the fan before she had a chance to explain.

Saint has his ways of keeping an eye on Rachel and then he comes up with an offer that Rachel shouldn’t refuse (work related) but Rachel needs more, she wanted what they had in the past and to be near him and not have him was totally incomprehensible. You felt Rachel’s pain in this book but I loved that she still stood up for herself no matter how much she was hurting. She knew what she wanted and she wouldn’t settle for anything less...she couldn’t.

“Saint is offering me...the world. But a world without him is nothing now.”

This book was Katy Evans at her best, she always writes real relationships. The mistakes, the misunderstandings, the reconciliations, but she makes her characters work for them. I felt their pain, their reticence but I also felt their love. Despite everything, these two were truly made for each other and even though everything tells Saint to steer clear, he cannot help himself. For him Rachel is like a siren and his siren is calling.

“I’m human and flawed and hopeful and afraid and strong and weak and independent – and in love with him in a way I’m sure they are not. I’m proud to be who I am. I’m proud of where I stand.”

This book had everything, the emotions, the sizzle, the spark; the lightening...Katy Evans knows how to write a sex scene and these two light up the sky at night. It is that intense connection and chemistry that makes you fall in love with her characters, you just can’t help yourself. You champion them, you root for them and you want them to succeed. While on paper they shouldn’t work, they just do. Opposites do attract and these two were like magnets, even though they were poles apart in the beginning that magnetism just brought them back together.

“You’re like a spark, Rachel, all I need is to breathe on you and you catch fire.”

This book is not just about Saint and Rachel though, we finally get to understand a bit more about Saint’s background and in particular his father. He really is the scum of the earth and has no qualms about scraping the bottom of the barrel with his business ethics. After reading about him it just goes to show how Saint is definitely not his father’s son. He has learned the hard way and it is easy to see why he insists on being his father’s opposite.

“The hardest things to do are sometimes the ones that prove most meaningful, but not necessarily the ones we remember most fondly.”

This was a great conclusion to Saint and Rachel’s story and I adored the epilogue. Once again Katy has delivered a great story with amazing characters and I cannot wait for what she delivers next.

Manwhore+1 picks up right where Manwhore ends. I was actually very happy about this, it just felt like the next chapter. Malcolm and Rachel are on the rocks. She has written the article declaring her love and apologizing, but Malcolm doesn’t give his trust easily so his forgiveness won’t come easy.

Malcolm Saint is a force to be reckoned with and we definitely saw more of the real Malcolm. I truly love Malcolm as a character, he is the reason I loved Manwhore. I didn’t think I could love him more, but I did. Malcolm is this amazing guy who is willing to do anything to protect Rachel.

Rachel is a great character, but I was definitely more frustrated with her. She was very whiny in the beginning and pining away for Saint. Now don’t get me wrong, this is a usual reaction to losing someone like Saint. However, since she was completely at fault for her actions, I felt little sympathy for her. Saint is this huge presence and completely admired by pretty much everyone. So I was so annoyed that she didn’t seek out his help when her feelings got more serious in Manwhore.

In the end, I completely got their connection and them as characters. I understand they both have their short comings and Rachel isn’t used to having help or trusting men. Understanding them and their motives allowed me to truly love them together. They are the perfect match. Neither were looking for love or wanting the connection, but couldn’t resist the pull they had to each other.

I love Katy Evans writing, it is always sinfully sexy and engaging. Malcolm and Rachel’s connection is no exception, I highly recommend it!

A sizzling, all-consuming story with plenty of feels to
keep you reading, swooning and smiling from beginning to end.

“Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. I just walked into the eye of the most powerful storm of my life. No Not a storm. A hurricane.”

Whoa! This book is a scorcher!

Sizzling.
Sweet.
Consuming.
Addictive.
Emotional.
Tumultuous.
Romantic.

I didn’t think it possible, but this follow-up was even hotter than the first, as desires and regret wildly collide. Katy Evans has the ability to draw you in and make you feel so much. Her words and expressions expand and evoke emotions, pulling you in deeper to the story she imparts. After the unputdownable Manwhore and its breath-stealing end, Manwhore +1 ratchets up the feels with deeply felt pain, heartache, regret, longing and loss.

I completely and viscerally felt the torment that devoured Rachel as her heart broke at the loss of Malcom. I hurt for her. For them.

“Like a thousand women before me, I fell in love with the city’s favorite bachelor billionaire player. And now I will never be the same.”

We picked up exactly where we left off. Heart pounding. Breath frozen. The moment where Saint sees Rachel again after her deception.

And holy hotness… Malcolm Saint.

His presence is commanding and consuming. His power. His gorgeous good looks. His dominance. I was reminded of it all, as he struggles containing the rage of betrayal. The initial scenes between them KILLED ME.

This follow-up takes you for a ride, evoking so many emotions. There are moments of sweetness and honesty, as well as epic romance and sexy times that are hot hot hot.

After the events that led up to their split, Malcolm and Rachel’s story morphs into something else all together. Trust has been lost and must now be gained. Love was felt and must be shown again. Rachel’s dishonesty cut Saint deeply, and they must find a way back to each other, fully laid bare and transparent, if there’s a future to be won.

In addition to their stormy relationship, Rachel’s career at Edge becomes rocky, and she must also figure out what she wants out of her life when it comes to her career.

Business and pleasure, romance and sex, heartache and lust, they all crash into each other riotously, blurring the lines of a relationship teetering on a precipice.

I had big expectations of Manwhore +1 and I’m happy to say that Evans delivered. What a wonderfully addictive series with an entirely satisfying happy ever after.

“You’re the only heave I will ever know… and if you were a hell, I’d sin my whole life just to stay with you.”

I GOT MY DIBS FOR MALCOLM KYLE PRESTON LOGAN SAINT

I like this better than the first one. Oh my, Saint! So basically, this is the continuation from the previous book which is a total cliffhanger. I've got to say I crave for more. I absolutely love Rachel Livingston. Despite of what happened on the expose, this lady knows how to admit her mistakes and she earned her way for redemption. She wasn't a whiny, dramatic heroine. She remained independent and indeed got the sass.

"I'd do it all again for another moment with him. I'd do it all again with him. I'd leap blindly into the air if only there were even a 0.01 percent chance that he'd still be there, waiting to catch me."

What I really love about this book is how Malcolm Saint tested Rachel .Never underestimate this guy's capabilities. Yes he turned cold towards Rachel but the man has the patience of a SAINT and still respects her despite of everything that has happened. He's so romantic and I swoon over him.I think Rachel learned a lot from him by taking risks and break out of her shell. The chemistry = omg, I'm smiling like an idiot. lip corner kisses. DIBS. HOTNESS ALL OVER THIS BOOK. SO DAMN INTENSE.

Goodness, Gina. You are better in this book. All you need is a love life. Stop whining and get Tahoe! This definitely earned a 5 Dibs Star. :D
I think it is a great ending and kudos to Katy Evans!

The story resumes where the first book ended as Rachel tries to repair her relationship with Malcolm Saint. Additionally, there's a new threat involving her magazine that may impact their future.

There just wasn't enough story here to hold my interest. It felt like the same issues were tiresomely revisited time and again. I did like the parts that featured the reactions of the public in social media. They were hysterical and showed some real creativity.

My feeling is the issues in this story could have been resolved in the first book. I wasn't prepared for a cliffhanger there and didn't like it. This was just an okay reading experience, even with the admirable efforts of the narrator.

I am highly disappointed in this book. While the Manwhore (book #1) was awesome, this one was just boring. Nothing happened, except sex. Sex, sex, sex. Sex. And some fucking more sex. Hell even the epilogue was not satisfying enough for me. Don't get me wrong, I love Saint, however, I don't just want to read about his and Rachel's sex life? Nor do I want to hear all the damn time how much Rachel loves Malcolm and great he is. Her obsession with him is a bit too much to enjoy it.
