Otherness

This book is a collection of the poems inspired by a feeling of otherness, being an outsider, an alien. My sincere hope is that it lets those of you who feel the same know at least in one small way you're not alone. Maybe my real hope is that in some small way, it convinces me I'm not. Regardless, I hope these words make you feel. I worked for months to write a poem to express this thought, this idea, this existence. Eventually I let the idea go, decided to just write an introduction of sorts. Of course it was a few days later when this line hit me while driving back from a meeting.
