You know technically this whole series could’ve ended I booked it but this author has felt the need to drag it on so that people would read the book it started out good and I got the third one I figured I would know the end but then I saw there was a fourth book and all of a sudden we got werewolves and now at the end spoiler she’s taken prisoner put to sleep for a year and everybody she knows and loves God so what’s the point of the prophecy there is none it’s a waste of time reading these books
I have now read books 1-7, and here are my thoughts. It was a great idea, but mediocre execution. Many of the plot twists I was able to figure out before they happened. Some story lines are just completely dropped leaving us hanging. And goodness me all the FREAKING TYPOS were like someone used talk to text for the whole book and never went back to check. Overall I found it to mildly entertaining and only went as far as I did because I am stubborn like that.
I would have like to given this book and all 4 of them 5 stars the reason I'm only giving them 3 is because this book doesn't come to an end when they say a for book series you think that after 4 books it's going to conclude but it leaves you completely hanging waiting for her to decide when she wants to write another book.I actually enjoyed all 4 books I thought they were well written they had good story lines good characters it was great until I got to the end all I can say is really!!!
House of Vampires 4: The Wolves (The Sons of Vlad Series)
This was a lot better book than the last one, I think. The stories just keep getting better and better. I like the way the author covers all the different supernaturals and their lives. It really has turned out to be an excellent series. (in spite of the cliffhangers) lol I am sure other readers will fall in love with this series like I did!
Okay well, finely she has sex. Then the ending? what the hell...I hate cliffhangers! this one made me mad enough I might wait to read the next book. I need a sexy, original story, that has an interesting adventure and a happy ending. then I might come back to this series.
I would have reviewed this book higher, but it just ends. And we are led to believe she isn't going to write any further books. So, too bad. Nothing. It just ends without answering any of the questions we have been wondering about since book 1. Actually, it doesn't even end. It just stops. Like she just quit writing. Unexplainable and unacceptable. When you are interested enough to read 4 books in a series, we deserve to have an ending and wrap up of events. Wow.
I've just finished book four in Samantha Snow's "House of Vampires: Sons of Vlad" called 'The Wolves'. By now, if you've been following the series, you know there were initially four vampires, all sons of Vlad the Impaler, for Lorena to choose from to fulfill the prophecy and then one died, leaving three; Alan, Dmitri, and Wei. The slow build to this is at a snail's pace up to this point. She's made it through several kidnappings and assassination attempts plus, after all these years, has gained a best friend. Thinking she finally has some breathing room before having to choose to accomplish the prophecy, Jenny, her best friend and fellow witch, has talked Lorena into going on vacation to California. This had all three men telling her she couldn't go. It wouldn't change the situation but Lorena was adamant. And Ewan shows up with a plan of his own. Who is Ewan? He's the son of an affair between Vlad and Tatiana, Queen of the Fae. Do you hear the music? DUN DUN DUNN! That doesn't stop the vacation. No, these two women head out on a road trip that finds them in a whole new situation but one that gives Lorena and Jenny new information and skills. It also brings a new dimension to Lorena and Alan's relationship. This is a great storyline but the slow burn is beginning to grate on my nerves. I'm hanging in there to see where it goes next.
Liked the books, but gave this one 3 stars because the author has lost her way somewhere. Trying to give her a hint. I quite a few gripes.
1. Book 3 had cover of a pregnant Lorena. She hasn't even hooked up with anyone at the end of book 3. 🙄 2. Werewolves and now fairies, I get Vlad's presence in the series. But WTH? 3. You tell me Vlad and the rest couldn't stop what happened at the mansion 🙄 4. She finally hooks up with one of the guys and it felt completely incongruent with the previous story arc, plus he's neither of the 2 she chose. 5. Now book 4 is out it's a year later in fairyland and supposedly everyone she cares about is gone?
I'll continue for a bit and if this series doesn't return to the original concept, I'm out. Good writing or not.
UPDATE READ BOOK 5. The author got back to the original arc, kinda. But I am happy with the direction it seems to be headed. Except one thing which I won't give out, I already dropped enough spoilers in my earlier rant about book 4. Fingers crossed for book 6.

House of Vampires book 4 by Samantha Snow is a 4 ⭐️ read. Lorena Quinn just wants a nice road trip vacation with her best friend, to forget about being the “Prophecy Girl” and get away from the confusing vampires in her life, but they don’t agree that she should go away and that just makes her mad. Her road trip is meant to be different, Jenny, her best friend has planned the places that are meant to be the most haunted and the first place that they stop unknown to them also has a werewolf population and before she knows it Lorena is accused of attempting to murder the werewolf Princess. This story has become so addictive, when I read the first book I was on the fence about reading book 2 but now I can’t get through them quick enough, I need to see how it all plays out for Lorena. I would recommend this series.
I love this series. I binge read 1-3 and then I saw oh there is a fourth book. Now book 3 did have an ending so I was surprised to see a fourth. I love the characters and the story is interesting but the ending to this one makes me go “what on earth?” I need more. I hope there is more because other wise the ending that book three had makes no sense.
I’m thinking this book takes place after the big battle with her, her friends and the vamps against her mother and their crazy cult people. But it happens before her kids are born? So after everything has happened Lorena and her BFF go on vacation only to get thrown in to a bunch of werewolf stuff. And there is far in this one too. Who are up to no good but you only see them at the beginning and then the end.

First and foremost, this book is titled incorrectly and so is the summary. this is the title and summary for book five and hopefully it will be corrected. The proper title is house of Vampires 4: The Wolves.
Just when I think Lorena cannot get herself in enough trouble, she happens upon a pack of troubled wolves. It is a great story that is another testament to the loyalty that she shows and encourages in others. I gut she is I love her or I want to kill her type of person. There were a few sad moments but this one had an almost happy end. Of course since there are 22 books in the series, nothing can be easy. Let's see what the Fae have in mind for her and how she enchants them or them her. On to book 5.
Oh goodness this is one fabulous story. It is action packed with beautiful characters. Lorena has grown considerably in this one. She is getting stronger and learning so much. She has an a group of people behind her and supporting her. This is extremely well written and the flow of the story is superb. I loved the introduction of the new characters. This is most definitely worth reading and I can’t wait to read the next book!!!!!
This is an awesome addition to the series and much different from previous books. Here we have Jenny and Lorena off on a road trip that quickly turns into drama (because of course it does!). With time running out and her suspicions that something is seriously wrong at home, Lorena and Jenny need to get themselves out of a (hairy) situation before it’s too late!
That is it, I said no more after book 3 and gave in and got book 4. However that is the last one I will read in this series. It is not moving along with any sort of pace, it is plodding and the number of times this author repeats things to fill pages is beyond belief. I can't warm to the main character, and the others are a bit hit and miss too. I have changed tack completely and am now reading an old classic that I haven't read since school
In each book Lorena manages to get into a situation that she has no idea how to get out of. This book is no exception. On her way to California she manages to find herself facing angry werewolves. She has to fight Daisy to the end. However, she says if she.heal Evelyn, she would be let go. The ending like all the books leaves you hanging so you have continue the saga of Lorena. Good read. Where will she end up next?
Why why did I torture myself.. I knew what you was going to do yet I let myself fall into the comfort or Lorena and everything about her crazy world... omg... why why why... I need the next book.. I’m Over here like a junkie waiting for my next fix... We’ll Lorena up and did it again.. we know she’s happy with 2 but man of man Lorena you got Alan in the mix...
I really enjoyed reading this book! I didn't like Lorena's antics in the bathroom. I won't say anything else on that! I wondered what happened with the Alpha Wolf in the restaurant? I think whoever reads this book will enjoy it! I definitely recommend this book to others.
It's enough mystery in the pages to make you want to read the next book in the series. What is going on with the vampires and the Fae queen. Why does she have so much control over them? What happened to Vlad. He's not powerful enough to hand her? Will we find out in the next book? Enquiring minds want to know.
I can not get enough of this series. I mean this series has it all from love to hate vampires, witches, fae, werewolves and more I'm sure I missed or haven't read yet! This author knows how to not only capture my attention but manages to maintain it through book after book.
I dying here! Talk about suspense! Vampire's that are awesome then seem different? Half vamp half Unseelie? Hot as heck! But he's not her guy's! Throw a awesome trip with your bestie...that throws you both into werewolf territory! Be challenged by a crazy wolf! Its all in the day of Lorena Quinn!
House of Vampires 4: The Wolves by Samantha Snow is part of her The Sons Of Vlad series. It has two of the best kick ass witches ever written about. Lorena is still raw with her magic but still super powerful. Jenny has her magic down pat and isn't afraid to use it. Throw in some vampires and you've got a great story. I can't wait to see what's next.
This one is loaded with vampires, witches, and shifters. Poor Rose, betrayed by someone who should have loved her. Poor Ron, killed the wrong person out of vengeance. Poor Evelyn, loses her mom, then her dad. It was an awesome read but the ending is a cliff hanger big time
Sometimes you really need a vacation but the universe has other plans. Lorena just wanted a vacation from her vampire boyfriends. She didn't plan on having to deal with ghosts and werewolves, or even werewolf ghosts! At least she finally scratches that itch with one of the vamps! And jenny all aglow with power is something I'd like to see!
This book! What can I say, it is awesome. Lorena has more challenges ahead in this part of the series. This one had my emotions going crazy. So much happens that you have to read it. And there is more to come. Cannot wait for the next. Great series!
Love Lorena. She’s such a cool character. But this story line just didn’t flow very well for me. So many lines left open. And the ending? Huh? Normally I don’t mention this, but this could use another round of proofreading.
Loved this box set House of Vampires, this box set was just as good as the first box set. These books were well written and the characters are interesting. It was worth reading, it is a must.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I had major bangxiety lol I was so happy she finally got it in not with who I expected but it was cute and exactly enough to calm my bangxiety lol now the ending eeekkkkk like holy cliffhanger!!! Now on to the next
I really liked the first one, however the books are starting to get very boring. I think the plot seems to dawdle along, with no real closure. The main character isn’t really interesting and lacks depth.
