In Super Sidekicks Trial of Heroes the heroes are invited to join a superhero club but first they have to pass a test that only the bravest superheroes can survive. This graphic novel has beautifully illustrated artwork with the main hero, Junior Justice reading as Asian or possibly Latino. The book contains some bathroom humor but the quest and the antics will appeal to 3-5 grade elementary students.

“Be careful before you follow those in power […] Make them earn your respect and loyalty.”
I enjoy this series so much. Still, fresh and crispy at book 3. It has a way of instilling messages without being preachy.
