Autumn O'Neill had come to Arizona on an archaeological dig for the remains of the mysterious Anasazi Indians. The recent UCLA graduate also hoped to discover her own Navajo roots. Yet when the project unearthed Anasazi graves on Jess Barron's ranch, Autumn's joy turned to heartbreak. Her Navajo clan believed the site to be cursed, while the darkly handsome, part Indian rancher had only scorn for the research, his heritage, and the beautiful young archaeologist he couldn't help but desire. Then one night Jess came to know her tenderness, and Autumn came to know his passion--and to understand his anger. Now Autumn knew that if she was to keep his love, she would have to help Jess find himself. And that meant listening to the voices of ancient ancestors ... and the longings of her own heart.
