It wasn’t my idea.
If I’d been completely sober, I might have stopped the crazies who burned the man effigy at the Anti-Valentine party I went to. I mean, that’s not really my thing. I don’t hate men. I’m just a normal, single girl trying to get through college without being noticed. Because everyone in my family is famous. And then the party and the stunt made national news. And there I was, front and center on the Film at 11.
It's okay. I’ve got this. I’ll dodge the paparazzi, and soon they’ll tire of me. I’ll sink back into obscurity.
Then he shows up—my little brother’s manager. He’s going to fix my reputation—thank you, I didn’t know it needed to be fixed. It was just one dumb party!
And apparently, he’s my date for Valentine’s Day, too. That ought to be fun. He doesn’t even like me. That’s okay. I don’t like him either.
When it comes to books and movies, Brynn Paulin has one rule: there must be a happy ending. After that one requirement, anything else goes. And it just might in any of her books.
Brynn lives in Michigan, where she likes to spoil her children and dogs—not necessarily in that order. She also loves to cook, travel and spend far too much time on social media. She enjoys mentoring and meeting new people and is always willing to chat. Personally, she finds great pleasure in spending time with her family and dogs, as well as volunteering around her community.
First published in June 2007 by Ellora's Cave, Brynn is the author of over 130 books, including the bestselling Daly Way and Taboo Wishes series.
According to Brynn, her writing success can be attributed to an eclectic collection of music, her local road construction crews, a trusty notebook, and of course, the people in her life who’ve finally accepted that everything is research—or will be.
in a 50 page book that is marketed as, for all intents and purposes, as smut, there really should be more than one boring-ass sex scene at the 75% mark. add in all the spelling and grammar errors and overly dramatic, cheesy dialogue, and this is a hard no for me.
“Because you, the one and only, incredibly special Blake Sterling, are the only woman I have ever wanted and you’re the only one I will ever want."
LOVED THIS! ❤ Definitely going on my faves and re-read lists. Hot hockey star turned agent who is not a manho? Yes, please! -dual virgins -dual POV -no cheating, abuse or OM OW drama -epilogue 6 years later Quick, steamy read. 💜Find💜Click💜Read💜Love💜Review💜
Brynn Paulin is a fairly new author to me. I have only read a few of her books. All of them that I have read have been really good. The only complaint that I have is that they ended before I was ready for them to be over. That might just be my greediness showing! Lol this one is a true love that had to wait turned instaeverything. Completely safe with no abuse, cheating or ow/om drama and a very Happily Ever After!
Blake just wanted a normal life away from the spot light the rest of her family lived in. Being at the wrong place at the wrong time, that life has now changed.... In scoops Gavin.... her twin brothers agent!!! Gavin has been biding his time waiting for her to graduate from college. But that changes when she’s thrown in the spotlight. The time for waiting for his woman is over and he’s taking what’s his.
-safe read -dual virgins -no om/ow drama -epilogue 6 years out
Honestly... I guess I was kind of hoping that this would have more heat to the book. It seemed very tame considering a few of other Brynn Paulin's books I've read. I know this is a short read, but it would've been nice to see a bit how Blake handles living more in the limelight. What did she do with her life after graduating college? And the wedding...it's pretty crappy to have to sign up for a newsletter just to get some kind of scene for that.
Growing up in a family that is filled with actors/actresses, models, professional sports players is a hard thing to live up to. Especially for Blake who just wants to be normal and live her life out of the limelight. But one anti-valentine's day party messes up all the plans Blake has for finishing college just being a normal college student. Now her face is plastered all over news and media outlets. 4 years ago Gavin first saw and fell for Blake. He was determined to let her spread her wings and finish college as just a normal woman. However, when she gets herself into a little trouble Gavin is done playing games and ready to claim what's his.
She found she was special to the one who mattered the most.
Blake growing up with a "famous family", not being famous herself, never feeling special, stayed out of the spotlight, going to college trying to be "normal" then one incident changes everything giving the one man the opening to swoop in and claim her. Lightening stuck these two years ago, but Gavin was older had to wait to claim what was his. He always kept an eye on her, making sure no man was near her. She didn't think he even noticed her. Neither telling each other the truth of their feelings. He demanded a future with her and she threw herself into it. Knowing he'd always be there, loving her.
This was my first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. It was well written, well paced, and had a full storyline which seems to be rare for shorter books. There were a few editing issues but nothing that distracted from the story. I liked the characters very much, but a 30+ virgin H? Yep, not buying that. I need more than “it would mess up my hockey game” to believe any one would be celibate into their thirties.
Another awesome read from Brynn. Gavin has been in love with Blake since the moment he saw her at her brothers hockey signing. He has waited four years while she goes to collage. But when she runs into some trouble, he is finished managing her brother and is ready to take care of Blake for the rest of their lives.
From the first page until the last page, this fairy tale romance had me hooked! A good love story makes the world go away. The characters in this book come to life, and you will be left feeling like they are your friends. Great story, Brynn Paulin! Looking for more of your books!
Young college girl, Blake, just wants to live as normal a life as she can outside of her famous family. Older former hockey player turned sports agent, Gavin, will do anything to give that to her and to keep her safe. The passion and devotion ignited between them is scorching hot!
I loved this quick romance. Gavin and Blake it was like they were born to be partners! Even though this story was short it gave you everything you needed to know about characters and the intentions!
They are dual virgins and don’t have any drama with exes. Gavin is 10years older than Blake. She his clients twin sister and well he’s loved her since he laid eyes on her and she’s been in love with him since she was 13 lol.. I loved it..
