Taylor and Kaitlyn #2

Changes Still To Come

Rate this book
To say that life has taken a huge turn for Taylor Ables and Kaitlyn Collins would be an understatement. They've faced more than a few challenges, but they've been blessed to have lots of love and support along the way. And, the support has often come from the most unlikely places. Together they've learned that some people are blessed to have a loving, supportive family that they are born into, while others create that family from the people who come into their lives when they need them the most. But, no matter how that family is created, some bonds will never be broken. Follow this group of friends and family as they grow and work together, no matter what challenges get tossed their way. Sometimes things come at you from out-of-the-blue when you least expect them, but there really is truth to the old saying that what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.

This whole experience is pretty surreal. One year ago, I never entertained the idea that I'd be completing the biography page on my Goodreads author's dashboard. Just more proof that life throw us glorious curveballs sometimes.

I've always written stories for my own entertainment and never considered they may be something that others would like to read. When I finally consented to share them with my wife and a few friends, they encouraged me to do something with them, and not just leave them sitting on my computer. So, at the urging of a few people in my most trusted circle, I finally decided to step outside of my comfort zone and share them with you guys. I hope that you enjoy them!

As for who I am, that one is easy. I'm a wife, a stepmom, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a worker, an avid reader, and an animal lover. My favorite things in the world are to laugh until I hurt, to spend time with the people that I love, and to get lost in a story. I'm fortunate in that I get to do all of those things very often.

Okay read! (2.5stars)
Predictability at it's highest and a kind of creepy twisted feeling with some of the storytelling.

I’ve just finished the audiobook and still am a bit at loss for words right now. Especially the last few chapters really got to me and I have no idea anymore how many tears I‘ve cried. I felt so close to Taylor and was so happy that we got to see that she‘s finally able to let go of some things. I hope we get to witness the whole process in the next chapter. I really want to know her whole story. Besides that the book was also funny and there was so much love around. I honestly wish to have just one of those people in my life. In a world like these there can’t be enough kindness and love. So thank you Leslye for this wonderful series. I can’t wait for book 3. and btw Lori Prince was fantastic once more, as always.

My oh my the twist and turns

Another great read from this author. It's amazing that she's done the first two books on her own and they are both amazing. We get to see how Taylor and Kaitlyn are settling into their relationship. As life does is all it throws a huge curve ball for the two. We once again get to see how these two, as well as their support system, handle things. We also get a glimpse into the lives of the gang, which is an added bonus. Loved it and recommend it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

"Changes Still To Come" is the sequel to "A Time of Perfect Change," and I highly recommend reading the first book before starting this one.

I am genuinely amazed by the brilliance of this story. While it centers on Taylor and Kaitlyn, the inclusion of various supporting characters enriches the narrative significantly. Despite the numerous characters, the clear characterization throughout ensures that it's easy to follow the plot. Each character's arc is remarkable, and I found myself growing fond of every single one.

Lori Prince delivers an outstanding performance, skillfully capturing each character's voice and effectively conveying the emotions intricately woven into the storyline.

Changes Still to Come (Taylor and Kaitlyn Book 2) was another great book by Lesley Marks.

I liked the relationships between all of the characters and their partners. I also liked the relationships formed by Kaitlyns’ family and Taylor and Emily. I cried during the sad times and laughed during the fun and loving times.
I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys heartfelt times and love. I hope there will be more Taylor and Kaitlyn stories. If you read this book, you won’t question my 5 star rating.

Highly unusual and Wonderful story

Great group of characters but Caitlyn and Taylor were center stage. The whole story centered around love and the different love that existed in this great group of gay/ lesbian couples. Never read a book this enjoyable or this interesting or this humorous. I am definitely looking forward to reading more stories written by this author!

Enjoyable read

Romantic, sweet, loving and caring. It’s a lovely well written series which leaves you wanting to see what happens next. In Taylors’s case... you are quite right that the family you are blessed to create from the people you meet in life are sometimes way more loving and caring than the one you had the misfortune to have been born into.

Loved both books!

I am so glad that you decided to share your writing with us. This book continued to build on the lives of 4 wonderful couples. Though they have had challenges along the way and much personal growth it shows that family you are born into for some and the family you choose for others, are the key to being able to learn and grow with their love and support. Taylor was able to do some more healing upon reading the letter she received from her brother. It is also going to help her to continue on her journey in healing. Taylor's beautiful niece has brought this tight family even closer and seems that the baby bug has bitten these couples. I can't wait for the next book where Taylor will open up to to her partner and come to terms with her past and watch the couple's and Emily grow and change. Thank you for sharing your stories with us!!

Wonderful Story!

I loved this second book in the Change Series. Taylor and Kaitlin are a couple I think most would love to emulate. It was nice to read all the changes that were going on with each character from the first book. This book just had so much love and the intertwining of all the lives together were just genius. And when the biggest change of all happens as sad as it is, it just fit that Taylor and Kaitlin would fall right into it as they have done everything else. Looking forward to the next book in this series. Definitely a must read!

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first, and there are a few reasons why:

Firstly, I just didn’t really care much for the storylines of all the secondary characters. I didn’t love their POVs, and was disappointed on the amount of Kaitlyn and Taylor’s story that was missed for these characters. It got to the point where I wanted to skip by all the chapters that did not include Kaitlyn and Taylor, but I didn’t do that because ultimately I wanted the plot we were given ti make sense.

The second issue I had is that I felt like more should have been dealt with/answered in this book. I’ve been extremely curious about Taylor’s body image issues, what is the cause of them, and her eventually opening up fully to Kaitlyn. This is the one major plot point I wanted answers to, and I feel like it should have been fully fleshed out by now. I am extremely frustrated about this. This must be bothering others as well! And we still don’t know much of anything about Taylor’s family, AND ITS BEEN TWO BOOKS!

Lastly, the way this book ended makes it seem like there is another book coming, and the other reviews I have read hint at the same. However it’s been several years and there has been no continuation. I tried to find info on whether another book was coming, and could find nothing. Has this series been discontinued/concluded? If this is the case, my rating of 3/5 would turn into a 2/5 because there were too many plots that weren’t completed, and too much wasted time on the secondary characters. If there is a third book in the series, depending on what we get from that, I might actually make this review more positive but without it, I’m just left frustrated and disappointed. I will revise my review if we ever get that next book.

🌈💗😍MADE ME LAUGH😍💗🌈
This story was not only chucked full of graphic descriptions of sex ! It also was littered with laugh out loud funny bits practically all thru it ! And yet it respected the readers in its presentation .
I think I liked this book better than the first . And I'm curious about the next installment .

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is such a feel good story. I know that a part three is coming as some issues with Taylor have not been fully addressed. The story continues the lifes of Kaithlyn and Taylor. It is exactly the kind of book you never get tired of reading. Looking forward to more from this author.

Typically the first book in a series is the best and follow up books are just trying to get close to the first; however, in this instance, I liked this book even better than the first.
The characters had been well developed in the first book and they just came even more to life with this one. I appreciated the “presidential wall” joke....lol.
Looking forward to more books in this series.

I like it. It wasn’t full of drama with the couples although some of their families were difficult. Most characters made a good decision and cut off toxic members prior to the book. I think the book is sweet. I think the series is sweet. And I love the diversity of characters- lesbian, gay, and heterosexual … but the only sex we hear about is sapphic. But the ages and diversity of the community of friends are amazing. It is a soothing read with a few real life traumas.

My favorite part of these two books is that the author uses varied terms of endearment and uses them early on in relationships. It's my biggest complaint in other books. 😂😂 But, whewwww, they're a rollercoaster ride of emotions and tears.
