An exciting new spin off in the Lycan Mating Games world
This particular book can be read stand alone without having read the other 'Lycan' books. There is no character cross-over and very little reference to the previous books either. Whether future books will need you to have read the other 3 I wouldn't like to say.
I very much enjoyed Zoe and Cane's story, which is fairly low angst, they fight their battles together rather than against each other. It's a very hot, insta-lust story, leading to a fairly insta-love situation. Whilst I'm not a huge fan of these in contemporary romances, in a paranormal/fantasy romance I'm much less picky. The chemistry between Cane and Zoe is scorching hot - this is one sexy and erotic read. There is spanking so if a dominant man spanking/disciplining a submissive female is likely to offend you this probably isn't the book for you.
We get the start of Ava and Titus' story (I very much hope we will be seeing more of them in the next book!) and also met some other fascinating and intriguing characters. There are some good world building elements in this, I really liked the whole Norse mythology aspect.
Would I like more depth in the books? Yes, I love a book that takes me on a journey both emotionally and with it's story. One where we see the characters grow and develop, revealing hidden depths. However sometimes all you want/need is a light read that you can get absorbed by and complete easily without too much stress or anxiety. This is just such a read. There is complexity in the plot, plenty of heat, good twists and some very easy to like characters. I also enjoyed the pop culture Marvel references!

S. Cinders has created a complex PNR world in Pavo (Dragon King Book 1). Pavo is a transition between multiple worlds. There are a lot of characters and introduction to mythology. Dragons, Valkeryie, gods, and Fae all intertwine.
There is a lot of sex! It is all consensual power exchange sexual encounters, heavy on BDSM, and backdoor action. Super hot, yet these moments help the mental connection between the characters.
I could not wait to finish this story. It had a intriguing storyline, well written, with strong characters, and heavy sexual tension, that will make you want to keep turning the pages.

This is a fantastic story! I love this series. I can't wait to the next one. This story had some twist to it that I couldn't put it down.
Zoe is a librarian who is swept into another realm. She is surprised to wake up in the bed of the Dragon King. Cane is the Dragon King of the East Sea. He claims her which is very unusual. They have an intense connection. When he makes her his queen, things get interesting. Her true nature comes to the surface and her father comes to get her. Cane will do anything it takes to get her back. Will he be able to get her back?

First this can be read as a stand alone as not really part of a series but part of another world. This story is great as is based in a fantasy world of Fae, Shifters and Gods. This story is full of heat, sex and BDSM. The plot and characters make one get lost in this fantasy land and make it hard to put down the book. Please read as you would love as I do.

I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

Pavo is another realm within the Lycan Mating Games world. It is part of the mythology of magical beings. Dragons rule the Pavo realm, but the reader also encounters fae, gods/goddesses, demi-gods and more in this book.
I was given an ARC of the book from Booksprout which had several spelling/grammar errors as well as formatting issues. I won't review those because I hope they will be fixed before publication. There was also a disjointed aspect to the writing that I hope isn't in the published copy. The author frequently jumps from different viewpoints, including the thoughts/feelings of bit characters, in a way that makes the plot feel messy.
There are two couples in this book; Cane and Zoe plus Titus and Ava. Cane and Titus are dragon shifters who fall for Zoe and Ava. I have read other dragon shifter books and I'll admit this was quite different from what I expected. The world building is very good. I really like that the world unfolds as the story progresses rather than just setting a stage before any action happens. It has explicit sex which involves two dominant dragons, but it's not dark; just kinky. The dragons end up being very considerate of their women's needs and wellbeing.
Interestingly enough, this is a safe read with no OW/OM drama and no cheating. There is explicit sex and language. My biggest problem with the book is the disjointed narrative; it needs a good editor to clean up a lot of the superfluous verbiage in order to tighten up the plot. It lost one star for that and it lost another star for being a cliffhanger. While it didn't end in the middle of a scene, it also didn't feel like this story was complete; so I don't feel it's a actual standalone within a series. I will be reading the next book however, because I do want to see what happens in these realms.

Stumbled into Love
I like paranormal romances sometimes to break the monotony of regular romance books. I prefer them to be shifter stories whenever possible, and Pavo proved to be just that.
A librarian Zoe who is curvy but has meat on her bones especially in her chest area accidentally stumbles upon the portal and is swooped up to Pavo.
What has she got herself into?
Zoe finds herself mesmerized by this alpha dragon king Cane along with his fiery temperament.
Cane took one look at Zoe beauty and knew he must have her in his bed no matter what the cost, and he is used to getting what he wants. No is never in anyone's vocabulary around him.
It is nearly an instantaneous love attraction right after the magnetic pull they both felt. It is scorching hot, and Zoe and Cane fight their battles together rather than being against each other.
The author developed mind-blowing characters, which is easy to relate to. This book grips you nearly immediately, and the well-written storyline keeps you turning the pages.
The plot is complex, likable characters, unexpected twist, and plenty of heat allow you to be absorbed without too much stress, a welcome change for me.
I generally prefer more depth as it weaves me into the characters emotionally journey as they develop and grow throughout the book.

I LOVE S! She writes super fun and smutty paranormal romance with loveable, smart, and broody/sassy characters! They are so vivid and emotional! I love fated and mated adventures and S does them so well! I highly recommend checking out all of her Lycan & Virgin Vampire novels! There are so many more of her books I want and need to read!
I can tell this book is a transition between multiple worlds. The negative is a lot of characters and mythology was introduced and I was left wanting more! I wanted more verbal interactions between the love interests. Their relationships relied heavily on sex and BDSM. I would have liked more tension and emotion! I think Ava’s story provided more longing & sexual tension.
Overall, I liked this book, and I cannot wait for the next one to see what happens and how these connections are made!! I want to know how all of the kingdoms and realms connect! I hope that my favorite characters cross paths!

Dragons, lycans & fae! Oh, my!
I liked the story, but it's a bit chaotic. It features a smorgasbord of paranormal creatures, and I just realized--there are no humans here. Everyone is a someone else in disguise, which is cool, but it's hard to keep track of.
I'd though this was the 1st in a series ("Dragon King Book 1"), but I guess it connects to another of the author's series, of which there is a preview at the end, and that's the 4th or 5th in that series ("Lycan Mating Games").
There's actually 2 romances in the book, the 1st one that gets curtailed by a Norse God daddy butting in, after which the 2nd duo takes over, and that one was more intriguing to me, but then that developing romance got curtailed by a war to repo the 1st heroine, and then by the kidnapping of another intro character Norse demigoddess.
Can you follow all that? I'm guessing you can't, which is why I'm not marking it as a spoiler.
Yes, it's great fun, and I'd certainly read more, but mostly for the spanking. You can throw in some vampires and gargoyles, author, as long as they also spank. （☝ ՞ਊ ՞）☝

Even though released as part of the Lycan Mating Series Pavo brought me to the realm of dragons, starting their own story in what seemed a complex PNR world built by S. Cinders. I haven't yet read any of the previous books in the series but furtunately it wasn't a disadvantage here. I completely enjoyed the story as a standalone. My only complaint is that it didn't turn out to be a standalone as it ended on a cliffhanger, and that fact wasn't mentioned in the publisher's note.
I liked the writing, the world building was unique enough to make an enjoyable read. I liked the characters and the plot. I liked the chemistry, the power exchange elements, it was a hot and steamy read.

Action pack suspense filled sci fi. With lots of spicy sexy power exchange action. The story will grab you and keep you on the edge of your seat to see who and what will happen next. This is a story filled with twist and turns that have you unable to put the story down. Will they be able to keep their world safe and find a happily ever after. Or will evil win in the end. If you like your Hero's hot and strong and your heroine feisty sweet and strong this is one you will not want to miss.

Titus finds his mate Ava but more than the sexy, hot relationships there is more happening in the realms that links back to the Lycan issues on earth. Something big is gonna happen and Pavo is just another piece in the puzzle.
This story had my brain buzzing with all the paranormal connections that were occurring. Dragons, Valkyrie, Fae, Demi-gods, Gods and Lycans - so many details coming out that I can't wait for the next story to learn more and see where this story goes. I feel a HUGE climatic battle scene is coming when all the entities, good and bad, converge in one place.

Scinders has outdone herself once again. Apparently she has a bigger bag of tricks to hold these characters than even I, as a devout fan had imagined. And just for the record, "YOU GO GIRL!!!"
Have you been keeping up with the Lycan Mating Games? If you have then by all means, don't miss this one when we get to meet the dragons, in this Dragon Kings 1: Pavo … and a HUGE surprise appearance with a twist you won't see coming, I know I didn't. If you haven't, you don't know what your missing, and I'm sad for you. This is probably one of the most intriguing, intense, fate induced chemistry PNR I've read to date. I'm in it for the long haul and can't wait for what she pulls out next.

I love shifter stories, especially dragons, and I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It has a gripping storyline, was well written, with great characters, and heavy sexual tension, that will keep you turning the pages. The author created some amazingly intriguing characters, which you can relate to on some level and those who have read this author’s work will recognize the strong storyline and well developed characters. An incredibly intriguing and intense beginning to the Dragon Kings, and I can't wait for the next book.

I new spinoff series from the Lycan Mating Game series. This one starts of hot as hell. I mean DAMN that is hot. So you might not expect a lot from a beginning like that but this first book gets in-depth pretty fast and will have you reading the story in one sitting. And just when you think you know what is going to happen it all changes. You get a lot of Norse mythology with some other thrown in at times. And then there are the main characters. This story starts off with Zoe and then the alpha dragon Cane. But by the second half the story brings in more main characters. So hold on for an adventurous and totally sexy ride.

A New (Delightful) Series Related to the Lycan Mating Series!!
Here there be dragons. A Librarian worker discovers a portal into a world she never imagined; and is claimed by a dragon king. Relationships are revealed, a battle with Odin ensues, and a crumb trail as to how this relates to the prior Lycan Mating stories.
Brilliant series which continues to highly entertain. I can’t wait to see just how this all ties together. I’m looking forward to more in this series!!

This first book in the Dragon King series by S Cinders gives the reader two erotic dragon mating tales in one story. It is also a story about finding out who you are and where you belong in society, regardless of what realm that might be in, and then fighting for it. Of course, in addition to the battles, mysteries, and magic, the book is a very vividly described erotic paranormal romance at its heart. Looking forward to reading the other books in this series. An amazing read. This is the first book in this series and I can't wait for the next ones. I really enjoy shifter stories and this one will not disappoint. The story was well written, with great characters that are intriguing and with off the charts chemistry. It will have you glued till the very end. It is a must read.

Enjoyed this book, great story line. Zoe goes to the dragon realm by accident and becomes the mate of one of the dragon kings Cane. Little did they know she is fae and the daughter of Odin. This starts a war between the dragons and Odin when Odin kidknaps Zoe. Lots of action with some BDSM in the book. Dragon Kings finding their mates on Earth seems unlikely but that’s what two of Pavo’s kings do. They are fierce unyielding rulers who don’t believe in love but everything changes when their mates step into their lives. The action is fast and furious and you also meet fae and Norse gods. All in all Pavo is a rollicking good time. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

SCinders has done it again, dragon shifters, and a new world to explore! The story opens up with Zoe finding a door to another world where she is taken and given to one of the Dragon Kings, Cane and this begins a journety in a love story so exciting, entertaining and just so hot you can't help but reading this well written fast evolving story till the very end! What an awesome start to a new series can't wait to learn more about this world the Dragon Kings rule!

Zoe works late one night and accidentally enters a portal to Pavo, the Dragon Realm. She is claimed by Cane, the Dragon King. Pavo is an exciting novel with great characters and intricate world building with the right touch of mythology. I will definitely read the next book.

This book has Dragons, God’s, Demi-gods, Fae and so much more. Titus and Cane with their mates Ava and Zoe are featured in this steamy, interesting story that leads back to the Lycan school. The characters are strong and well defined and some apparently will be in book five. Good read!

Yep, I enjoyed this story starting a new series
This story was as entertaining as others I have read by this author. I like her diverse and quirky characters, plots and adult romance. This storyline kept your interest and encompassed the relationships of two Dragon Kings and their mates. Not to long or to short. WAITING for the next one !!!!!!!

I liked this very interesting read. The more that is revealed brings it back to learning how the Lycan games begins and how there are more realms to be revealed. I didn't think I would like the dragons but I did.

Pavo (Dragon King Book 1) by S. Cinders is a wonderful story that I have loved reading very much. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Sci-Fi and paranormal romances in their stories.
