The Quasar Lineage #12

Mihile's Marvel

Rate this book
Mihile

I hate being trapped underground. With the planet Quasar uninhabitable on the surface, my entire life has been spent without sunlight. Since I was born blind, it's kind of fitting.

With my lack of vision and light skin and hair, I represent not only the most unique features of our species, but also the most shunned. Even with my political connections, I have few friends and no female prospects for any kind of commitment.

I think I'll always be alone in the dark until I see her.  Suddenly, my sight begins forming, and my already excellent hearing becomes super charged. Now, I find out almost everything I believed was a lie. Our planet is inhabited above ground, and even though my doctors don't tell me themselves, I've mated.

I'll never be alone again—if my mate makes it to me.

The ruling bodies of Quasar are conspiring against the males who've mated… maybe even killing them. Will the spacecraft carrying my mate make it to Quasar? And when they do, will we be able to expose the conspiracy and all those involved?

How can we possibly stop something that runs so deep, when there's no way to let everyone know the truth?

Tara

Every day, every decision, whether it's large or small is based around my safety. Where I go, how I go there, and with whom is all carefully weighed.

Despite my family's diligence, between a hospital visit and attending college, I'm assaulted on a bus, and I end up fighting for my life.

Given the choice to leave Earth by the equivalent of alien matchmakers, I decide to take the plunge. I'm sick of the fear and female suppression my government enables. I'm told that my mate has endured a similar plight, and I'll have a part in changing that for his species.

But my mate's planet is under siege by the Marel, an insect-looking species of alien that accosts us on our way to Quasar. We escape but find out more are on the way. They're working with someone high in power on the planet, and we need to expose the female’s original treaty with the Ashen in addition to this new threat.

Is it too late to save the clueless on the planet Quasar and offer them new protection? Will the Marel be able to set up their breeding farms when their backup arrives?

Will the population of Quasar even believe the threat is real before it's too late?

Thrilling series. Started first book and couldn't let go until all 12 read. Talk about Marathon read-up! Series I would definitely recommend.

Lights ! Drones! Action! An ARC review

I'm loving this series, and Mihile's Marvel is one of the better books in this long and involved tale of interstellar romance and action. Michele its an unlikely hero - the son of the ruling priestess, he's blind and marked as a shaman. Nitara, his mate from Earth, is scarred by a sexual assault and has a genetic blood disease. But iF they can complete their mating, both will gain immense physical and sexual benefits. IF they can survive the revolution on Mihile's planet. If their rescuers can get them out in time. If the news media can find a way to publish the truth that will save Mihile's planet and it's people. Those are some serious IFs. The suspense, the action, and the fast pacing will keep readers glued to their e-readers. The romance is a sweet and tender icing on the cake. The only downside is this book is NOT A STANDALONE. Characters and plot threads from all previous books in the series are involved, or background knowledge of them is required. However, it is no hardship to read any or all of these great alien romances. Readers will love each one.

This novel was somewhat awkwardly written but had few typos that I could detect. However, that did not detract at all from the immense amount of enjoyment I got reading this novel. I was at the edge of my seat throughout the reading experience biting my nails down to the quick! This plot was super exciting, with the characters being in almost constant danger and the stakes being sky high. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship between this hero and heroine was fairly flat, but the plot and world building were vivid enough and exciting enough that I still really enjoyed this novel. This novel uses the Mars Needs Women trope and the Fated Mates trope, so heads up for readers who enjoy those tropes. There was low angst and very high stakes in this romance, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy suspense filled creative sci-fi romances and don't mind a somewhat rough writing style.

I have been anxiously awaiting this book. We learned of a male that could manipulate electrical systems causing malfunctions. Mihile is this male. He was born blind and all of his life he has been living underground without friends or the chance for any kind of life. Oh, he has everything he could want in his quarters, access to the libraries, whatever he wanted and all it cost him is his obedience. He also has extensive knowledge of the underground facility and dreams to visit above ground. His mother has lied to him his entire life. She is one of the ones responsible for enslaving unmated males and trading them to the Marel. When his mate marks appear his blindness lessens. He can see "things". He sees lights of auras and emotions. His mate, Tara, is from a country where women are not valued or protected. Together they will fight the women enslaving Quasar and hopefully bring new life for everyone. I loved the punishment the previous council received. They received the same mercy that they gave. This was a fantastic ending for everyone involved. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.

The book itself was pretty good but the ending was abrupt and didn't really tie up all the loose ends.

"It’s as if a piece of the puzzle of my life has slipped into place."

Mihile thought he understood the world, and saw things clearly... as clearly as a sheltered blind man could, then he developed mating marks, his hearing improved, and with what he heard, and could now see comes an entirely new understanding.

Tara is from Earth, and while she's been cautious, and focused on her education, she's not been sheltered, certainly not like Mihile. Where he thought he could trust everyone in his orbit, Tara was constantly wary of strangers too close to her... but when they meet, not only do they want to take a chance on one another, in each other they find someone who wants to be honest and help them expand their world.

This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read ties off the overarching arc of the series, so who!e it is a solid stand alone adventure, it packs more punch as part of the series, or at TBE very least, partnered with Brock and Chevepak's stories.

Never having lived on the surface Mihile is different from others in many ways, not only in coloring and his blindness. He is the Son of the Sacred mother and was born a shaman. As his mate journeys closer to him the web of lies surrounding his life begin to surface. It all comes to head when he sences his mates fear and he tries to escape. While on a mission to gets the information on the Ashen treaty out to the public Tara and a group of Quasar males must rescue her mate from the underground tunnels all while under immediate threat of the arrival of the Marels. Their is no cheating and ends in a HEA, though part of a series this can be read alone but to follow the larger story it would be best if read as part of a series.

Mihile was born blind and lives in an underground cave system. He was told that the rest of the planet is uninhabitable. When he sees he mate in his daily reflections he begins to see colors around people. He excited that he is able to see. As he learns more with his new vision he finds that he has been lied to his entire life by his mother and others. He is also excited to have a mate. Nitara was assaulted on Earth and was going to die when Janette appeared and gave her a chance to leave Earth, be healed from a disease and find a man that would love her and be devoted to her only. Their adventure begins. An awesome story. I look forward to the next book. This book does have a scene concerning rape if anyone has any triggers.

I love this series, and this most recent episode is a doozy!

Mihile, the Sacred Mother's son, is blind and has lived a mostly sheltered life of study. When his mating marks show up, everyone is stunned, and even more surprising, his sight changes. Nitara was brutally attacked on a bus on Earth and is dying. When Janette appears to offer her a new life with a loving mate, she gratefully takes it. Fast forward to being captured and rescued from the Marel ship, and a wild ride begins!

The couple, along with the crew of the Discovery, are ready to take on the oppressors who have kept the Quasar males under their thumbs for too long. Add in learning of the males who were sold to the Marel, it's time to revolt. Hope you can keep up!

I love this series. Tara can't wait to make her life better by leaving Earth and finding the perfect mate. Mihiles has been raised underground and believes that all the males of his planet Quaserians live underground. He know that something is up when he starts to see and him hating marks show up. Tara is determined to find her mate no matter what it takes. Will they be able to escape from Mihiles wicked mother? You need to read this book to find out. There is plenty of action, suspense and steam in this story. I love how Pearl Tate writes a story. She has created an amazing world of alien males that love their human mates. The saga continues in order to find A mate. The reflection show who their mate is, their features etc. Tara is his reflection. She is what he, Mihile’s has been looking for. For someone who’s been on the ground and has been born blind he can see her. He can feel her. He wants her. He wants to be stronger for her. Tara gave up her life of being bullied and harassed. To be with a mate she almost died from just living and changed her life to be with him. And of course she’s trying to get to him through their mating bond. there’s always villains, yes even your momma, and other Situations can slow down the deserved HEA.

This series has gotten pretty deep and with plenty of unexpected twists. This one will answer a lot of the lingering questions and tie up some loose ends. Nitara is from India and her culture and the way she lives is a factor to her future. Like most of the other human females she was close to death and given a choice of living but no longer on earth. Mihile is different from the males of his planet. And this chance of having a mate will bring new light him in more than one way. The romance is somewhat love at first sight but not exactly. Things will get dangerous for everyone but the truth must be told.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is about a mating program on Quasar. Mihile is living on that planet in the underground with his mother. Mihile was wanting for his mate but his mother was working to make it so he don't need her or meet her. Tara come from money but she wanted to an alien matchmakers. The ship they was on was taken over by aliens that looked like big Ants and some with wings then it was taken over by ships from Quasar. Now would be the time to get this book. I will be getting more from this author.

Wow, there’s lots going on here! The suspense keeps building and keeping the reader tightly gripping their eReader and waiting for relief! The world-building is amazing, the story line is fast-paced and intriguing all the way. The characters’ emotions jump off the page and let the reader feel everything they are feeling. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed this book. All the points that draw me personally into a good sci-fi story were right here. Grab your copy and experience the excitement and tension.

This is book 12 of the Quasar Lineage and I swear that these stories are getting better and better as each one comes out although I loved everyone of this series that Pearl Tate has brought out so there are no complaints from me. Sorry guys I’m not going to give any spoilers because the blurb tells you all you need to know but if you love a story with strong heroines who will fight for their mate with plenty of action, adventure, suspense, danger and romance then this is the book for you. I loved this story/ series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Couldn't put it down

I stayed up way too late reading this book. I couldn't put it down! This is the exciting conclusion of this series' overarching plot with the Quasar women.
Mihile just happens to be the Sacred Mother's son. He is blind from.birth but once he started getting mate marks he started seeing what appears to.be auras.
Tara has a connection to him from the beginning and is instrumental in finding him when he is restrained by the council and his mother.
Don't miss this whole exciting series!!

This is the 12th book in the series. I really enjoy this author and this series. As usual my only complaint is the amount of sex in the book. I get tired of going through a scene twice so you have both points of view. I down rate because of this. If you don't mind all the sex consider this a higher rating. Regardless I keep reading the stories regardless of the sex.

Good story 4 stars - It’s a good book in the series. I like the story. It has a lot of action and a few steamy scenes. Mihile’s character is different from the other Quasar males. Considering Tara’s background story, I wish there was more emotional depth to her character. Nevertheless, the struggles of the Quasar males and their human mates are getting even more interesting. The story just keeps getting better with each book.
Even though we have so many answers, I feel like there is still more to discover. I hope Pearl feels the same. Mihail and Natari were wonderful. Both conquered their oen battles and came together as much stronger beings.
I woukd highly recommend this book and series.
Happy reading!

The Quasar Lineage
Mihile has been lied to his entire life. He’s lived underground his entire life, told that the surface was uninhabitable. Once he developed mating marks he was imprisoned. Nitara, Mihile’s fated mate has overcome all obstacles in order to set him free. He may hold the key to saving them all...

This was a good addition, I liked how this story came to fruition from what we've read in the previous books, that being said there were some typos and things that were unnecessary to plot.
