Valley Life: Finding God in the Midst of Your Pain

Rate this book
Your Darkest Journeys Are Not in Vain When we are in painful circumstances, we tend to want to escape at any cost. Yet in doing so, we can miss the greatest opportunities of our lives. Writing about her own valleys—including loving a struggling son and reeling from the untimely death of her husband—Yolanda Cohen Stith shares hard-won insights. In the midst of her most painful experiences Stith discovered that God shows up in the valleys in ways He doesn’t on the mountaintops. In Valley Life she shows you exactly • God’s strength is found in your weakest moments; • You’re not alone, even when all hope seems lost; and • Your valleys will be where you experience your greatest growth and intimacy with God. Valley Life isn’t about surviving the pain when you’re in a dark place. It’s about being transformed by the grace of God while there. Yolanda Cohen Stith is a Christian pastoral counselor. She is also the executive director and cofounder of New Heart Living, a Christ-centered counseling and teaching ministry in the Washington, DC, area, and a frequent speaker at women’s events and retreats.
