Throwing caution to the wind, we both give everything to this simple proposition.
Ryan Michele is the Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling author of over 40 romantic suspense novels and is best known for her Ravage MC series.
She found her passion bringing fictional characters to life, being in an imaginative world where anything is possible.
Her knack for the unexpected twists and turns will have you on the edge of your seat with each page.
She is best known for her alpha, bad boy bikers and strong, independent heroines who refuse to back down.
When she’s not writing, you can find her on her swing, watching the water ripple in the pond and plotting her next book.
It was sweet, smexy, funny ~ also a bit headache inducing, though that wasn’t the main characters fault (just an FYI) ~ and filled with some great characters that kept me turning the pages until the very end and making me wish I could spend more time with Connor and Quinn and their crew.
I adored Quinn and Connor. Quinn is sweet, sassy and loyal. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, but even she knows when to save her breath. Connor is a sweetheart with a good heart and a good dose of alpha tossed into the mix, but man did he have his moments. Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. It was easy to see them together, not only as a couple, but as friends, and I just loved hanging out with them and watch as they stumbled along until they finally figured things out. There were a few bumps in their road, but nothing OTT, and I just really liked how everything worked out for them.
This was a fun, quick read. It is definitely on the lighter side of the coin in comparison to the other books I’ve read by this author, but it was just as well written and filled with unique and intriguing characters ~ even if some of those characters I wanted to gut with a spoon and/or Gibbs smack many times over ~ but still fun characters that really added life and depth to the story and definitely have me wanting to get my hands on the next book in the series ~ especially if it’s about who I want it to be about.

Ryan Michele never ever disappoints whether she is writing gritty mc books or something a bit fresher, lighter. This brand new romance, the beginning of a brand new series is the latter on that list and oh my goodness y'all! This new romance was absolutely everything. Sweet, sexy, fun, unputdownable, packed with ALL of the BEST feels. I adored every minute I spent with these characters and I devoured every single little word on all the pages.
Dream Lover is the first in the Proposition and Proposals series and if this plot wasn't the cutest, sweetest thing EVER then I don't know what is. You see, Quinn's brother is getting married and he and his fiance are having a week long couples thing in Vegas. Problem is Quinn is single, in need of a plus one.. well, that is until her best friend steps in, tells her she has her covered. She just never expected her to send HIM or how it would change... EVERYTHING.
Quinn was great. Connor was so dang swoony. Together they were magnetic, undeniable, and completely consuming from very start of their journey. Packed with heat, heart, and all the steamy tension. These two, this book... a must read.
Also before we go, can I mention how that cover is on freaking point y'all 😍
Quinn, Drew, Carrie, and Conner have grown up together as best friends, a very tight-knit group. Well, now they are adults, and sometimes life gets in the way. Drew is getting married to the mean girl queen, Rebecca. No one knows what he sees in her and she not only doesn't invite Conner, Drew's best friend to their wedding, but she's the meanest to Quinn, Drew's sister. Instead of a bachelor/bachelorette party, they are spending a whole week in Vegas. The only condition? Bring a plus one. Well, Quinn doesn't have one and when Carrie says to have faith in her, she's got it, Quinn wouldn't dare to dream Conner is coming to her rescue. They spend the most amazing week in Vegas and the signs are all there that they might just be what the other needs. But after the week, Conner messes it up and has to prove to her they have something amazing with his actions.
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of from friends to lovers, unless its done in a certain way. Tough, I love fake boyfriend. So, I was a bit apprehensive going in. But I'm glad to say, I enjoyed it. It was good read, with no big dramas. Though, there was one thing, that I wasn't happy with. Conner a tiny bit disappointed me. Though, I think he made up for it. I liked Conner and Quinn together.
I had high hopes for this series as I've been obsessed with all of this authors Ravage series, however, this fell flat for me. There were multiple things that just didn't work for me...
First off, it felt extremely choppy. The story jumped around so much that things felt left out. I had a hard time feeling any connection to the H and h. There was nothing wrong with them, the story just bounced around so much that I never got their connection.
The ages were never mentioned (as were many things, like I still have no clue what the h's job was). I know they were all out of college, but the actions of many side characters seemed very high school like. No clue what happens to the side characters (again becasue it isn't mentioned) but there was a lot of drama in that area out of no where.
Which also brings me to my irritation of what bridezilla continually asked of/did to the h. Made no sense. I love my brother, but that would have been a big NOPE for majority of the events.
The responses of the characters were strange. Honestly, it felt like this was meant to be a 2 to 3 book story. Michele has written multi-book stories before (which were great), so I have a feeling this was originally more, but in editing or something, someone decided it should just be 1 book and cut out soooooooo much. We are just dumped into the lives of the H and h while getting snippets without any context.
Again, I liked the idea, some was highly entertaining, but I just felt meh about the romance of it. I probably would have loved it if it had been a multi book story or if they didn't add the second half drama and turned the first half into the whole book.
I love reading Ryan Michele books. I know that her writing will never let me down. She is a one click aI love reading Ryan Michele books. I know that her writing will never let me down. She is a one-click author for me. This book has a lot going on. I loved some people and despised some people. This book was so incredibly fun along with sexy, smart, sassy and easy to read. Who wouldn't love a book set in vegas? This is book one in the Propositions and Proposals series. What a great way to start this series.
Quinn’s brother is getting married. His soon to be wife is having a combined bachelor and bachelorette party. Oh, and did I mention that it is a couple's party? Well, it is and Quinn doesn't have a significant other and she is about to lose it. So she calls up her best friend and she says she will take everything. She knows the perfect person to be what she needs him to be.
Conner is one of the best men I have ever read about. He is smart and a savvy businessman and he is the brother of Quinn’s best friend, Cassie and not to mention he is best friends with the groom. Then he has secretly been crushing on Quinn for years.
The sparks fly in this book with heat and with anger. There were times that I wanted to throw my kindle. I couldn't stand one of the players in this book. It needed to happen though. I loved reading about their friendship and the growth of more.
Quinn is sweet, smart and sassy and let's not forget, loyal to her brother. She just wants him to be happy. Even if it means she has to suffer. Conner, *sighs* I loved him. He is such a good guy and would do anything for Quinn. This book captured me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down. I laughed one moment then I was panting the next. The lust is thick. They secretly like each other and never want to let on for YEARS. Conner kept me on my toes. Quinn was a trooper and I loved how she put someone in their place.
Quinn Landis' brother is getting married, and his fiance decides they need to have a joint bachelor/bachelorette party in Vegas... the only catch is, it's a couple's week away! Quinn doesn't have a significant other... Enter her best friend, she says she will take care of it, and have someone there for Quinn. When Quinn arrives in Vegas she gets the shock of her life... there waiting for her in the lobby is none other than Conner Davenport. She's crushed on Conner since they were children. Growing up Conner was always there for her.
Conner Davenport has always silently carried a torch for his best friend's younger sister, but it's bro code, you don't go after her... Until she needs you in Vegas. Then all bets are off. Quinn and Conner make it through the couples weekend with flying colours. Their connection is undeniable. But what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas right? Even though there's more to it. When they return to their lives back home it's as though nothing happened, but she's broken hearted, and he just got his priorities wrong and got lost in work.
Can they find their way back to each other? Can they get what they had back in Vegas?
This was an ok read, based on friends to lovers trope. Decent story line, unbelievable chemistry and lovable characters.
This is a sweet, funny, sexy, best friend’s brother romance. I am so used to this author writing in the MC genre so this story was an unexpected surprise. The main crux of the story is Quinn needs a date to her brothers bachelor/bachelorette party being held for couples only in Las Vegas. Being a singleton Quinn starts to panic, how is she going to find a partner on such short notice so as her “bridezilla” sister-in-law to be cannot do what she really wants and torment her the whole time. Enter her best friend to save the day by getting her brother Conner to stand in.
This book is filled with intoxicating chemistry. It is light hearted, fun and flirty. These characters, because they had such a rich background and so much history fell instantly into ease with each other and soon “fake” becomes “reality”. I suppose it helps when you are actually the others secret crush.
Sassy, sexy and self-assured heroine meets confident, handsome and swoon worthy hero, what could go wrong? xox
Dream Lover is absolutely fantastic!!! I loved Quinn and Connor. Quinn is a strong woman, and feisty. She isn’t afraid to tell it like it is, but she does take her family into consideration. Connor, well he is hot and dreamy. Not afraid to step in when needed, especially when it’s the people close to him. Dream Lover is all about that perfect guy we all as young girls dream about. For Quinn it’s her best friends older brother, who is also her brothers best friend. Connor has always been there for Quinn and in her time of need he is there. I just loved how they stuck it to Rebecca at every turn. No matter how much Rebecca thought she could embarrass Quinn in front of Connor it never worked out. I just wanted run Rebecca over or something while reading the story. I just loved all the challenges that they were put through, especially the massage one. No matter if you are a fan of Ryan Michele or this is her first book you have read, you will absolutely love it. The story is funny, sexy, beautiful and might just make you mad in a few parts.
There isn't anything that the amazingly brilliant Ryan Michele has released that I haven't ABSOLUTELY LOVED, and Dream Lover is no exception. And as I'm used to MC reads from her, this was delightful change of pace, though I'll ALWAYS NEED more of her MC romance. Quinn's brother is getting married, and instead of a one night event, they're spending a week in Vegas as a couples event with couples challenges, but Quinn doesn't have a significant other, which her bridezilla soon to be sister-in-law knew. That bridezilla will torment her (which is what she really wants) too if she comes single, so there's that as well. Quinn's bestie to the rescue by sending Quinn's crush, her bestie's brother Connor to Vegas, and let the fun begin. See, Connor is ready to make Quinn his, and they have serious chemistry, so that week was super fun. There are some complications & drama, but nothing that serious, so yeah, I LOVED this lighter, fun read, and so will you after you hit that one click button! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Loving this new series from Ryan! I’m so used to Ryan’s MC series that I was really excited to get something new and different from her. Quinn has been obsessed with her best friend’s older brother since she was a kid, but has been resigned that they will never be together. Thankfully, her best friend has a trick up her sleeve, utilizing it in the perfect time where Quinn’s brother is getting married and they go on a joint bachelor/bachelorette party together in Vegas. Connor has always had a crush on his best friend’s little sister, but never acted on it out of fear of what would happen to his friendship. He gets the perfect opportunity to shoot his shot during the weekend, and he does everything he can to win Quinn’s heart. I loved the different situations this couple got into, and I loved that Quinn was fiercely protective of her brother, especially when he breaks things off before his wedding. Loved this book and I can’t wait to see who’s next (hopefully Quinn’s brother and her best friend)!!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This was such a good book! I loved how Quinn, Carrie, Drew and Connor grew up together and knew so much about each other. It made the story so much better. When Rebecca said they were taking the wedding party to Vegas, I knew it was going to be an exciting trip but I didn’t know just how exciting! This is full of fun, games, love and tragedy but it all works out just the way it should. I loved it! You will laugh, get made and cry but it’s so worth it all. This author is known for her MC books so you might not think she could do a contemporary romance but let me tell you something, you would be so wrong! I don’t know that it’s not better than her Motorcycle Clubs. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend you read this story if you are looking for a really good romance that’s not one of the usual, if it happens in Vegas, it stays in Vegas. I’m so glad this one didn’t stay in Vegas!
The party for the bride and groom (Quinn's brother) is going to be a week in Vegas instead of a one-night drunken celebration with strippers and all. Sounds good except it's a couples event and Quinn doesn't have the second half. No problem, her bestie will take care of it. She did. She's the one who knows Quinn's had a thing for her big brother since they were kids. Now we're all grown up. Surprise he's the one waiting for her in Vegas.
Even the original bridezilla can't completely ruin it for them. How does Conner feel about it all?
Conner is thrilled he's finally found a way and time to let Quinn know how he feels. His best friend, her brother, might not be thrilled but nothing is holding him back this time.
A sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes steamy fake boyfriend romance. The characters are either ones you love or hate. The families are strong and the story good. A bit of fun to enjoy. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
This book is a complete 180 from her normal genre of the MC world but she still writes a gripping story! Its a quick, sweet read within the brothers best friend, forbidden romance world. Almost everyone knows at least one bridezilla in their life but this bridezilla took the cake! Instead of a night of debauchery, its a week of "couples challenges" in Los Vegas. All of the bridesmaids are in a relationship, except the token bridesmaid, the grooms sister Quinn. In comes Conner to save the day, er week that is.
I love how Quinn was willing to do anything to keep her brother happy but I hated how he allowed his fiance to try to walk all over Quinn. Not to mention, she purposely leaves out his best friend. Conner, being the good person he is, doesn't push the issue but does take a step back, until Quinn needs him. He takes this chance to finally get what hes always wanted, Quinn. They blow the competitions out of the water and in the mean time, find that their attraction to each other is mutual. All of these leads to what we all want, the happily ever after!
I have read all of Ryan Michele’s books the Ravage MC and the shifter books and now a contemporary romance.
This was an exciting fun read you get to meet two people who have feelings for each other they don’t act on it because they don’t think the other feels the same and because Quinn is Connors best friend. Quinn’s brother is getting married and there going to go away for one week to Las Vegas with the bride and soon to be groom it’s for couples but since Quinn is single and the bride knows but Quinn’s friend has her back and sends Connor to be her fake boyfriend it gets interesting the games are more sexy. Connor is everything he’s a good friend for still wanting to be there for his best friend that’s getting married and he didn’t get invited to be the best man of his wedding but either way he’s there for Quinn and her brother it was an exciting read I recommend it to everyone
Dream lover is a new story by Ryan and it is a dream come true! Quinn’s brother is getting married and rather than a traditional bachelor/bachelorette party, they want the couples in the bridal party to join them in Vegas for couple challenges.....only problem is Quinn is single😢
She phones her bestie Carrie, and Carrie tells her she has the perfect guy for Quinn and to trust her, so she does exactly that and she is shocked when she discovers who Carrie sent to help her with the week in Vegas and couple challenges😳 Connor has always had feelings for Quinn, but the timing was never right...that is until now😁
I loved this story and I could not put it down, it was superb❤️ I’m excited to read the next one in this series❣️Thank you to Ryan for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review😍
Dream Lover is the first in the new Propositions and Proposals series and this story left me with a smile upon my face.
I’m a huge fan of Ryan Michele’s Ravage MC series, which is quite gritty and raw at times, whilst this title has heat, heart and humour and is just what you need in the difficult times we are currently facing.
Quinn and her mystery man’s relationship begins as a fake relationship, and their story takes you through a gamut of emotions. I was swooning and laughing, but also had feelings of frustration and humour.
Quinn is a sassy, self-assured heroine, who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Her fake boyfriend is a confident and well meaning alpha, who is a tad clueless at times.
Overall a fun and sweet read, and I’m looking forward to reading the next addition to this series.
Let me start by saying that I wanted to hit Rebecca every time she spoke. I could never imagine a sibling willing to marry someone who could treat their brother/sister like total sh*t. Plus, Drew wasn’t even allowed to have his best friend in his bridal party! As ridiculous as the bachelor/bachelorette party was, I really enjoyed the connection between Quinn and Conner. It drove me crazy how much they both wanted each other but neither of them wanted to be first to give into their desire. That first kiss was hot and that couples massage...WOW! When they finally got together it was intense. While we got a small story of their life once they returned home, I did feel the rest of the relationship was rushed. Other then that, good story. I wrote this review based on an advance reading copy that the publisher sent me.
Oh my.... I just loved Connor and Quinn. They had it all going on. Intense chemistry, all out passion and humour. They really were made for each other. I loved the plot.. Childhood friends put in a situation where they are fake lovers only to find out they both have feelings for each other and they both pussyfoot around the fact. I was really frustrated with Quinns brother Drew... I just wanted him to grow a pair when it came to the witch(his fiancee) she really did take the biscuit.. what an awful waste of a human... and when he did finally grow a pair I did cheer I really did I was like finally! I loved Quinns best friend who just happens to be Conners sister and I cant wait to see what is in store for her and Drew as their connection is just as explosive. Looking forward to reading the next book./
What a fun read!! In this time of social distancing I was in desperate need of good stories to fall into. When I was giving the opportunity to read a book by Ryan Michele I jumped at the chance. I am a huge fan of her work, and knew I could count on her to give me the escape I needed.
I absolutely loved the characters and the direction of the story. This is one of my favorite best friends brother reads. It's definitely one you can fall into and just get lost in the story. Quinn and Connor are fantastic characters and I love the chemistry. Its a page turner for sure. Complete with a villain you love to hate. We also get a little taste of some important supporting characters that I need more of. Great read and i'm looking forward to reading more from this author!!
This is the 1st in a new series and what an amazing beginning this story is! This is a new genre from this talented authors’, but my word, she has hit this one straight out of the ballpark and has done a phenomenal job in penning. Quinn’s brother is getting married and instead of having the normal bachelor / bachelorette parties’ her bridezilla future sister-in-law has arranged a week in Vegas where couples’ challenges are arranged. This leaves Quinn with a dilemma, as she is currently single until her bestie arranges for Connor her brother to step in. This is a beautifully written tale which is fun, humorous, sweet, light-hearted, and an all-consuming entertaining read, which had me totally captivated throughout his riveting page turner. I highly recommend for all readers.
I have to say, this book was an amazing ride. Ryan Michele created this storyline and spun a unique and one of a kind tale that will have you giggling and swooning at the same time. It is midway on drama but the drama bits add so much more to the story. I absolutely adored Connor as he and Quinn navigate the insanity of her brother’s soon to be wife. But that burn. It was slow and sizzling with such heat to it. I found it deepened the connection between these two so much that you couldn’t help but root for them. As everything plays out between these two and seeing where they go, I adored every moment. The banter and quick wit. The chemistry. Absolutely everything. Michele packs a punch in this one and it is very much a must read of 2020!
This is the first book in this new series from Ryan Michele and what a fantastic start it is. This is different to her normal genre's but she has done an amazing job with it. Its well written and flows well. Its fun, filled with humour and you will really be captivated from beginning to end.
I loved Quinn and Connor. The chemistry between them was off the charts hot. I loved her sass and she is amazingly loyal. Connor is the perfect blend of sweet mixed with alpha that will make you swoon. I loved watching how their friendship, then relationship played out.
Looking forward to seeing what Ryan Michele brings us next in this series
ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the Author
I have only read this authors MC work and they are fantastic so I was pleasantly surprised when she ventured out into non-MC work and it is a smashing hit. Yes, she has wrote non-MC stuff before but I’ve never read them. I love Connor and Quinn together. Separate they are fun but together- absolute perfection. Quinn is desperate, she needs a date to her brother’s bachelor/bachelorette party. Enter her best friend and when she gets to Vegas she is pleasantly surprised by who she sees waiting on her to be her date. Connor has had a crush on his sister’s best friend for forever and when the opportunity presents itself to be her date in Vegas he snaps up the chance to be there for her. Will they go from fake boyfriend girlfriend to the real thing?
I love fake boyfriend romances. Quinn needs a boyfriend to take to Vegas for her brothers co-bachelor/bachelorette party. Her bff finds one for Carrie and it’s the man she’s been crushing on her whole life. Vegas is my most favorite place to be and what could be better than being drawn into a book with Vegas and Romance. Connor and Quinn know so much about each other and slowly realize that maybe there’s more there. This book was so much fun to read and completely different than anything Ryan Michele has written before. But once Vegas is over can they continue into the real world? Loved every minute of this book and can’t wait to see what’s next.
Warning, do not start this book at night lol. I did not stop reading this book until I finished it. This is a sexy, funny, sweet, best friends brother's romance. I love Quinn. She is a sweet, sassy, and is loyal to the core. She is honest to a fault but knows when to keep her opinions to herself. Conner is sweet man but is still an alpha male. The relationship between the two is awesome because of the friendship between them. This book is completely different from the other books by this author but it is just as awesome. Five starts all the way!!!
Quinn's brother is getting married to a real bridezilla. They decide to have a weeklong co-batchelor/bachelorette party in Las Vehas before the wedding. Now to find a date. Quinn's best friend's arranges for her brother, Conner, has always been around and Quinn has been secretly crushing on him for years to be her date. Let the games begin! I really enjoyed this spicey romance and loved the best friend's brother to lover ending! Entertaining and memorable characters with HEA. I highly recommend this book!
Dream Lover was a fun change from the books I have read of Ryan Michele. This book had some hilarious parts and angst. Quinn has to go to Vegas for a week of couples games. This was because her brother was getting married to a bridezilla. Quinn was single, enter the sneaky bestie, who sets Quinn up for the week with her brother. Quinn and Conner had known each other all of their lives. Quinn was Conner's little sister's bestie. The two had to overcome being connected through siblings, to being friends, and then to dare to become lovers.
