Candace Shaw writes romance novels because she believes that happily-ever-after isn’t found only in fairy tales. When she’s not writing or researching information for a book, you can find Candace in her gardens, shopping, reading or learning how to cook a new dish.
She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her loving husband and is currently working on her next fun, flirty and sexy romance.
The third book in the Previous Moments Series was another winner. Chase Arrington from the famous family and Brooklyn Vincent, co-owner of Previous Moments Events, had the chance to be the one the other person needed. Chase was back home to claim his place in his family's empire, and Brooklyn was ready to make her dreams a reality. Her plans did not initially include Chase, but time brought about a change in both their plans. And then there was them!
St. Simons Island, Georgia is the beautiful backdrop for Candace Shaw’s Precious Moments series. Precious Moments is the name of the popular event planning company that employs our head photographer heroine, Brooklyn Vincent. Brooklyn has a lot going for her, and she is also pondering some life altering decisions. As if that wasn’t enough to have on her mind, Chase Arrington, scion of the successful Arrington family of Memphis, Tennessee, decides to visit St. Simons before stepping into the next phase of his life, taking over the family’s prestigious law firm that his mother ran. I love book families, and the Arringtons are one of my favorites. It’s like a mini-Arrington family reunion. They also play pivotal side character roles, along with Brooklyn’s brother, Rasheed, in helping to move the storyline along. Creative writer, Candace Shaw also surprises us with a newly found Arrington family member. I’ll let you discover who this character is. The HEA is everything a reader could ask for, because all the previous doubts and problems fade away.
THEN THERE WAS YOU is a great read. I recommend it for your reading pleasure. You can read this well-written story as a stand-alone, but I also urge you to pick up copies of FOR THE LOVE OF YOU-Book 1 and WHEN I FELL FOR YOU-Book 2 of this series. You can thank me later.
Chase Arrington the sexy twin to the also sexy Hunter Arrington has had his eye on the alluring Brooklyn Vincent for the past eight years. Surprise of surprises, Brooklyn has had her eye on Chase the same amount of time. When Chase decided to change career paths he takes a temporary professorship teaching law before joining his family's law firm. During this same time Brooklyn is also at a crossroads in her own career. While bunking with his younger sister Addison whose mobile home literally sits in Brooklyn's backyard, Chase and Brooklyn let their attraction for each other flag fly and after some soul searching, brief interludes apart, much crying(me crying at tender moments😇) Chase and Brooklyn finally admit their love for each other, Chase proposes and Brooklyn accepts, Brooklyn prepares to strike out on her own career wise and finally they prepare to live their lives together as a married couple. I truly enjoyed Chase and Brooklyn's story and now a new cousin has entered the mix and I am anxious to see what her story is. Great job Ms. Shaw a really, really great job!!!!!
I must say, I'm happy to see Candace back writing again. I know her personal sabbatical was needed and deserved.
As for "Then There Was You", have you ever experienced a love that you felt that no matter the time or degree of separation, you knew that it was for you? Well, welcome to the story of Chase and Brooklyn. The two kindred spirits needed to work their way into forever. Not without a few bumps. But once you know, you know.
Reading this story you'll want to shake Brooklyn and root for her at the same time. You'll love Chase as he's a true alpha male yet compassionate. This journey will have you smiling and seeing characters that you loved from previous work is joyful.
So enjoy the ride of Brooklyn and Chase and see how their love unfolds.
Brooklyn and Chase! Wonderful book. So glad we had an opportunity to see how Brooklyn and Chase's journey would unfold. I just say at first I thought it would of been a whirlwind but Brooklyn retreated a few times, but I love the way Chase stayed strong and have her the space she really did not want.
Great read. Will definitely be rereading this one.
Precious Moments is a Fitting Title for Book 3 in this Awesome Series
Chase and Brooklyn’s story was sweet. They were attracted to one another for years and finally put that chemistry to the test. It was a good read with close family members and friends interactions. Kudos to Candace Shaw on another good book.
I was glad to finally get Brooklyn and Chase's story. I just wished Brooklyn handled her indecisiveness a whole lot better. Chase was so patient with her even though he understandably did not agree with her rationale to pursue a relationship.
I enjoyed their journey even though she took so long figuring out what she wanted.
I love this series. The family..the fun..the love...the career choices...the connections..the up and downs..the foods..the tiny house though...lol...good read...can't for the next one...
This was an extremely enjoyable story, worth five stars, but... the ending seemed so abrupt that it made the story seem incomplete to me. Chase and Brooklyn are a great, well developed couple. Addi and her tiny house really needs her own story!
Chase and Brooklyn wasted 8years but finally found each other. Great story. Can we please have Addison ,Zoe and Giselle's story. Also a new man for Parker. Hope I'm not asking too much
I love Brooklyn and Chase. Brooklyn is a wonderful woman but she is a runner. Chase just want to make her his. They go through some denial but that's all Brooklyn. There was a few eye rolls but finally she got herself together.
It was great catching up with some of the characters from previous books. The story just fell a little short for me, just seemed a little incomplete. Brooklyn was just kind of annoying also.
Home is where the heart is! Chase did a fine job of letting Brooklyn come to that conclusion on her own. Good read, secret crushes revealed. Enjoyed the story line
