I want a senator

Cute, dirty, and quick! I like how the author wrote this. It's a bit more of a "slow burn" (if you can call it that) for this author but it was cute and I enjoyed it!

The Decade of Claire...........but with some unexpected detours in the journey

The Senator, Jasper McLaren, is a "sex on a stick" single 40 year old. He has been divorced for years, had no children and has women on his speed-dial. He is friends with Sam Collins, a freshman Congressman who is also from the same state of Texas. Sam and his wife Anna have a "miracle baby", 18 year old Claire. Now this southern girl knows how to get what she wants and what she wants is Jasper to take her v-card. He starts pursuing her ever so gently just before she turns 18, while also watching her walk by twice a day on her way to/from school when she is wearing her school uniform. On her 18th birthday he tries to "invite her inside" but Claire plays him off in a most southern charm and guile, while peeking his interest in her even more.

I loved the character of Claire as she knew what she wanted, to have a fun fling over the summer before she went off to college in Boston. She also knew how to work Jasper into a lather.............you could just seem him drooling over her. Jasper had no intention of anything other than a fling but without much effort Claire has him on the hook. He recognizes what she is doing but he just can't help himself from falling head over heels for Claire and wanting a forever with her. But Claire is adamant on having her "Decade of Claire" and no one will deter her. Jasper hatches a plan to keep Claire in DC and get her to marry him. The plan works a bit too well and blows up in his face with only one solution to it............having Claire marry him. Just proves you can't trust a politician..............even when you love him!!!

This is a witty, clever, laugh out loud, and very sexy story of an older man and a younger woman, who tops him all the time and he is just fine with that.

Jasper has been watching Claire for awhile now just waiting until the timing was right. Everyday he made sure he was home so he could watch her walk home by his house. Teasing him in her little dresses as she walks by. However he couldn't help himself anymore and as soon as she turn eighteen he met her outside his house with flowers. She liked them even though she couldn't keep them but she was going to make him work for her because she wanted him to be the first man to have her. Neither was really being too careful about when they would be meet or what would happen if they were caught. Will Claire let Jasper claim for his own? What will happen if they get outed?

This is a steamy hot short that will draw you in from the first page and leave you wanting more with the last. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A good little read. Loved the instalove between Jasper and Claire. Loved that Claire knew her own mind and that Jasper did not give up. Loved the sexy connection and a good story. Two very good characters and the dialogue was quite humorous. Claire definitely knew what she was doing and although Jasper thought he was in charge, was he? A good story.

Jasper has wanted Claire, but he shouldn't he is twice her age and he is a senator. When he sets his mind to it he will have her. Claire only wants the summer before she goes back to college, but once she falls for Jasper she has a tough time leaving. This is a fast, quick steamy read.

Over the top, quick and dirty. Mia Barrett delivers on this older man younger woman short story. Claire is young and wild. Jasper is a playboy twice her age who falls and falls hard but no worries because Claire is not far behind. An enjoyable read.

So, I really dug this book until the big boom happened. The way things were left as loose ends is quite irritating, if this had been longer there might have been resolution to the conflict that was brought up. Here’s drama, let’s ignore it. Smh.

An erotic older man younger woman romance that is a fast pace page turner with lots of steam and intrigue! It is a funny, witty, passionate, and interesting read. Likeable characters; the chemistry between them is intense and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

This a very quick dirty forbidden read (65 pages) if you need to switch things up a bit. Claire annoyed me from time to time but Jasper was hot! They had great chemistry as well!
