The Sweetest Taboo
Being married to her college beau and working towards her dream job as a psychologist, it would seem that Baisley Boyd has it all. When she and her husband, Ralph, aren’t seeing eye to eye about the pursuit of their passions, the foundation of their union is shattered, forcing her to reevaluate everything; Herself included. Amazing! I love love! ♥️
An amazing standalone! From beginning to end Author Ash Ley drew me in with the way her words flowed effortlessly. These characters... Whew! They all tugged at my heart (except Cliff and Ralph) 🤷🏾♀️ in some kind of way, but they also brought out other emotions; sad, mad, disappointment etc.
The Valentine Sisters were a mess at first, but I’m glad to see their growth and how they managed to find their way back to each other in the end! (Kori’s my favorite! 😍)
Drew, who was my favorite male out of this series was like the most amazing man a girl could have as a best friend, but also as my significant other! He loved him some Mya and I love me some him.
This book has everything that you could imagine in it, but you have to read it for yourself! I promise you won’t be disappointed! 💕 Job well done Author Ash Ley!

I loved Mya & Drew! Kori & Axton were my favorites. I was a little shook because I thought Baisley cheated. My nerves were bad. Cliff couldn’t get any more trifling. I loved Gia & Quincy’s appearance. I loved how the grandma got everybody told. This is a really great standalone. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

The sisters didn't have the greatest relationship but I'm glad they worked on it and were closer than before. The men they fell in love with were great and loved them unconditionally. Great job I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

This is my first book that I am reading by this author... and I must say... This was a pretty good read... It definitely held my attention... This is a long read but definitely worth it... It flowed at a nice steady pace... I like that I was able to see everyone's point of what they were feeling or thinking... This gave me a better understanding of each character and allowed me to connected with them better... This book brought emotions out of me multiple times and I mean all emotions... I was angry, hurt, sad, confused and happy... So yes it pulled them all out of me... Even had me talking to myself and the book... Had me looking crazy... Although this book was not a page turner it was one I did not want to put down because there was so much going on and I wanted to know what was going to happen...
I really liked Mya... She was so smart and I thought had a pretty good head on her shoulders... I mean I know her own mom didn't treat her the best... But she really had me questioning her and her sanity when she just would not let Cliff go... No matter what he did to her... I was like girl you have an amazing best friend that keeps throwing out these hints but you just keep ignoring him... Then got the nerve to complain when things do not go the way you want them to... At this point I really stopped feeling sorry for her because she kept excepting what Cliff was doing to her... So hey... If you like it then I love it...
Baisley was Mya's sister... She was married to Ralph... He loved her to his core... Yet lack of communication is what shook this relationship up... Baisley was very selfish and everything always had to be about her... If it was not about her and her feelings then it just wasn't important... And this is what caused all her relationships to be on uneven ground... But she was just to blind to see it... I guess because of the way her mother treated her... She felt like this was okay... Well as we can see... She almost lost everything because of the way she was acting...
Then we have the youngest sister Kori... She may be the youngest but definitely the strongest... Her and Mya were close and that was because Kori was always protecting her sister from their mother... This helped them grow a bond... Kori always doubting herself and no one even knew... But one thing with her is she never beat around the bush about anything... She was just blunt... She was dating but would not really let anyone get to close to her heart... But all that changed without her even really knowing when her and Axton kept crossing paths... But it was not always in a good way...
Now Drew I absolutely loved... I just hate that he could not really express himself and his feelings to Mya because she was always with Cliff... And although he always made sure she was good and wanted to be with her... He never put her in a tough spot to choose... He just loved her quietly and supported her no matter what... And he was always there to catch her when she fell... And he never judged her... Well that was until Faye came into the picture... And from here you could see the friendship began to change... I even got mad with how he even talked to Mya... All because his girl was jealous...
I must say that in the beginning... I really wanted to see Drew and Mya be together... But when everything started to play out and he made me mad... I didn't want it anymore...
I would like to see what Faye and Cliff had to say in the end because they were an Important part if this storyline... But they were left out of the epilogue...
I guess I am happy for everyone and how everything played out in the end... I just wish these woman made these men really work for them when they did something wrong instead of always giving in so quickly... Don't get me wrong... They did make these men put in some work... Could have been a little more... But hey... They are all finaly happy and I guess that is the important thing... Now time to see what else this author has out so I can check it out...

Beautiful💞
Queen Ash Ley came through with this one.
From beginning to end she had me on the edge of my seat. These sister's went through it from childhood to adulthood.
Mya kept pissing me off, I wanted to reach through the book and shake her.
That Cliff gave f boy a new meaning, from the cheating, to the disrespect, just everything about him screamed run but she kept going back. I figured he was keeping something big from her but I didn't expect him and Kim and a baby, smh.
Drew😍, he was the best of both worlds and she couldn't see it and even when she did she still didn't love herself enough to choose herself. I was glad they eventually stopped playing games and finally admitted to being in love with each other.
That Kim, Faye and Traci were foul and gave crazy a new meaning.
Ralph and Baisley went through it but I'm glad they worked it out.
Axton and Kori were my favs, I love when the underdog wins. Everybody pretty much deemed them the screw ups, but they saw the opposite. Relationships that start of as friendship are the best to me. I loved how they were able to help each other heal, they found the one that was perfect for them. Next!

Another great read
I couldn't believe how their mother treated Mya but than again all of the sisters had it bad growing up. Mya was disrespected & treated bad, Kori had angry issues while BB was told she'll never b a singer. The sisters met men tht changed their whole outlook on life into the women they became today all have a man tht loves them though all their faults & a child tht they can shower with love something they got from their own mother. Ash Ley i loved how each person had their own chapter to give us insight & how Mya & Kori ended up with the love of their lives

Long but good.
Kori was my favorite character (attitude/ personality) out of the sisters. Mya was cool but she was working my patience w/ Cliff behind and I liked Drew. Baisley seemed to fund herself. They each had issues stemming from their upbringing that shaped who they were. It was a lot of back and forth between the couples which felt very drawn out. It was loooooong. Althought I did take into account that it is three (main) separate love stories going on. Overall I enjoyed it.

Emotional and Amazing Book
If I could give The Sweetest Taboo a 100 Stars I would! This book is amazing! Three sisters Baisley, Mya, and Kori each had their share of pain! I love how each of the sisters told their story. I was all in my feelings. It took some special men to love them through their pain. I enjoyed the storyline and the love that was displayed between each couple. Such a Fantastic, Outstanding, Emotional, and Amazing book! I will definitely be reading more by Ash Ley!

This pen game
This author really made me feel this book. To see the growth in the characters really made me feel for them. I couldn’t stand Cliff’s ass and Drew was everything! I like how the way she wrote scenes made me see them. She really put her A game into this one and she has truly gained a new reader

I Love Them Damn Sisters
I LOVED this book! Fuck Cliff— I honestly thought he got his act together for Mya but he just couldn’t get right smh. I related a lot to Mya and I’m glad she ended up finding happiness in the end after FINALLY letting Cliff go. This is a pretty lengthy read but it’s an overall good story

Great read! I loved it.
To grow up knowing you were never good enough for the person who gave birth to you is heart breaking. Looking for that love in the wrong places is even worse because your thoughts are that any love is better then no love. I was so happy to know that the sisters finally got their happily ever afters and were able to rebuild their family relationships.

Whew the stress
Man everybody in this book stressed me out lol at one point I hated everybody. Although this story was an emotional rollercoaster it was relatable I don't think wasn't a character I couldn't relate to. We all have been there at some point in our life so I can't even mad at the stress I went through. I really enjoyed this story

Everett - Review
My a needed a backbone. Kori was my girl. Bailey i didn't care for To much. Ralph was wrong. Cliff didn't deserved Mya. Andrew who i wanted Mya with. I was happy for the couple in the end. A great read

This book was good. Cliff knew he was a HOT mess. I thought I was going to have to knock some sense into Mya but I’m glad she found some. It was good to see the sisters relationship grow stronger.

I was expecting something different.
The story had a nice title, however I was expect something a little different. A lot of editing would have made the storyline easier to read and follow. The sisters were a handful. I liked them each separately and collectively.

Love love love this book
This book took me in a roller coaster of emotions. I enjoyed every page, character and twist. I just wish it was a way I could have it in paperback. Excellent read!
