Josh and I loved this children's version of Ivanhoe. I've never read Ivanhoe so enjoyed getting an overview of the story line, and Josh loved the knights and swords and battles. However, he did feel a little too old for this simplified version when the author defined a "moat". Maybe eventually we'll tackle The Real Thing.

I read this to the kids on our drive out of town and back. It was perfectly juvenile and the kids really liked it. I wouldn't mind reading the original story.
