Dark Overlord New Horizon is book 38 of I.T. Lucas amazing paranormal series The Children of The Gods. With each new book I'm still totally drawn in and excited by the characters. There is never a dull moment in this series. Kalugal and Jacki are still together and trying to find out if love is in their future. While Kalugal is used to getting what he wants Jacki is determined to stay true to herself. With a Very expensive deal Kalugal buys them time to discover what they might be. Can these opposites find away to each other? Will they be the way to unite the clan and the runaways? I've been hooked since book 1. As hard as it is to fathom 38 books still aren't enough. We Need More of the characters, storyline, past and future stories, and all that still remains unfinished. This is first 1 series you'll never want to end.

I found Kalugal far too vain and arrogant for my liking and i thought Jacki forgave him so easily but apart from that this book was a very enjoyable read.
The plot running alongside the main was enjoyable and i like that a lot of real world events are being incorporated. It's good to see so many favourite characters and there were plenty of new favorites.
Still a good fun enjoyable series.

Already book 38 in this outstanding series and I still can't get enough. I was eager to read about Kalugal, Kian's nephew and Lokan's brother. When meeting Jacki he is being introduced to his cousins's clan and a whole new world opens to him. Is it the fates that seems him to attract to Jacki? And for Jacki, who has been an outcast for most of her live, will Kalugal, a prince, not be too much? She can't be worthy to him, can she? Jacki is only a low human, how could she ever compete? But Kalugal not only sees her beauty, but thinks she is smart and a worthy partner to fulfill his dreams. But to find out if Jacki is a dormant and his fated one, they need to have sex. Something Jacki is not wanting to give him if he cannot promise her the love of a lifetime. Their love grows quickly and they cannot deny their attraction so they come to a compromise. There is still the threat of Dr. Simmons and his paranormal atrocities. Can the immortals fight them off as easily as they think they can? In the next three books we will read about their journey and their HEA but also read about the journey of Vlad and Wendy and the transittion of Jin. Can't wait for the next three books.

This is Book 38 in the series and I’m amazed at they just keep getting better and better. The storylines of each of the couples weave so amazingly into the overall storyline of these immortal beings. The secondary characters as intriguing as the main characters and they also play important parts throughout the series so it all seems connected. The world building immerses the reader, continues to expand and engage our imaginations even more.
The mystery that is Kalugal and is he good, bad or somewhere in between. Even if he wants to take over the world. His attraction to Jacki is real and her feelings for him are increasing as well. I love how he changes as he courts her, and am on pins and needles until we see where this leads and how she finds out she is a dormant. So many unanswered questions.....especially how Kalugal and his men will end up relating to Annani and the clan.
Anxiously awaiting Book 39!

Storyline is moving again
We get more insight into Wendy.
Jacki lied to Jin about being a virgin.
We now know why the director only put out the one APB on the missing paranormals and immortals could be in danger. I wonder if he knew where Eleanor was when she went missing now…🤔
Kalugal shows Jacki his collection and she has an interesting vision.
I’m still waiting on news of Esag… and Khiann for that matter, but Annani needs to have two more kids for that to begin according to the seer… hopefully she has twins and speeds it along.
Main plot lines are dragging out while little nuggets of information that can form new plot lines are being dropped left and right.
Vlad is embarking on a spiritual retreat at Vanessa’s behest and Ingrid finally removed her horny ass from the picture so that someone else can get close to Richard. I really don’t like her.

This one was much better than the last few.
I just wish the author would stop with the whole concept of marriage representing love and devotion or the representation of a healthy relationship when her immortals don’t even believe in marriage. It’s a constant theme in all her books that the women have that I’ve gotten tired of. These women are supposed to be smart not stepford wives and for the love of God stop the coffee drinking in every scene!
Also tired of her character development of Kian... instead of growing in character which he does a little she then makes turns him into a grumpy old man who’s doesn’t trust anyone and sounds like conspiracy theorist. Stop making him that way! He doesn’t sound like a smart resourceful thousand year old leader.
I also wish she would make her books longer and complete instead of breaking them up into 3 books for a story arc.

Another couple to root for
I can’t get enough of these books! Every time I am so disappointed to finish and know i have to wait for the next book in the series. Jacki and Kalugal are a great new couple to root for things to work out. There is also more going on in the background building up what’s to come. I know that at some point the gods homeland is going to come back into play and am interested in how the situation with the program will end up. I hope Wendy comes to her senses and chooses the side of the immortals. I also can’t help but hope Rufusor will find a mate with one of the immortal women of Annani’s clan. Great binge worthy books and I highly recommend this series.

Jacki and Kalugal are such a great match up for each other.
Jacki is a straight shooter and speaks her mind. She is tough but also cares for others deeply.

Now that Kalugal knows about Dormants, he is hoping that Jacki is a dormant. He is keeping that information from her because he wants her to fall for him and not immortality.
Vlad is heartbroken from Wendy's betrayal. It was sweet to see Jackson and Bathian going to visit him and cheer him up. Wendy can no longer be trusted, I wonder what will they decide to do with her.
I'm looking forward to see Jacki and Kalugal's relationship progress.

Just when I think this series can't get any better , it does. I had a sneaky feeling that the Director knew how to find the escapees. I thought he had some power, but I like the explanation of technology better. Jackie's and Kulagal's story is going slow; but I think I like that about there story. And I'm glad they told Kulagal about him triggering Eva's transition. I all seems to be coming together so well. Now the introduction of who every carved that statuette of Wonder can be it's own story two. I love it. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Dark Overlord
I have loved every book, every story, and every character, but that Kalugal! I am thoroughly enjoying reading his story. I went through this book in a day. I just couldn't put it down. I bought the next one before I even finished this one just so I could go right into it. Kalugal is arrogant, sexy, charming, cocky, sweet, and sly all in one. I could see that smirk of his in my mind, and I found myself routing for him. I can't wait to get started on the next book. I hope Jacki gives in soon. 😉

omg omg omg
holy cow I love love loved this book.... but I need more lol this series is so addictive I read all books leading up to this one within a week and had to wait... i hate waiting and am so happy the next volume is only a month away!

Dark Overlord:
This book went by extremely fast. I started it and suddenly a couple hours later I was at the end. Needless to say it was very fast paced, extremely entertaining, snort worthy, with a few nail biting moments and quite enjoyable! I really like Kal and Jacki together as a couple. I can’t wait until she finds out she is a dormant and that once Kal induces her she can have immortality. I so can’t wait for that discussion!!

Too good not to read in one sitting
As with this entire series, I soared thru this book. Now I have to wait another month for the next book. In this book I think we got a few hints about Wonder's first love. He was Annanni's husband's servant and friend. Hopefully this foreshadows good news for Annanni.

Trouble is at their doorsteps
This is a great addition to the series. Kal and Jacki are trying to see if they are compatible by living together. Kian and Kal are trying to be cousins but without trusting each other. The evil Director is trying to find out where his escaped people are hiding out and with which group. You get more history about the immortals. Read On!

I can't believe how more interesting this series just got after 38 books. The alien connection and why they came to earth. Jacki's new ability,and her coming marriage to Kalugal. Book #39 promises to be explosive with the US government making it's move. I can't wait

I have been locked into I.T. Lucas series from Book 1 and now I have finished Book 38 and can't wait for Book 39 and don't would it to end. The whole story line is absolutely captivating and the story line is awesome - don't stop I don't want the series to end...….love his books

So addicting
I fell in love with all of I.T. Lucas book series The Children Of The God’s series and the Dark Overlord. I love the writing in each book it’s very hard to put down. I love getting away from real life and stress, reading all these books improves the mood always.

I love it
This series gets better and better. The only thing I don’t like is that the books are in installments and no complete books , so I’m forced to wait to finish. However if this was a tv series I’ll binge watch it; hands down. Love it!!!!

Cousins
I really enjoy how even in book 38, the author can keep you intrigued on what's going to happen next. We've learned a lot about Kian throughout the series, now we get some insight to his cousin Kalugal. I do hope to see these two men from some type alliance in the future.

I have read the series from Book One (Dark Stranger) through book 46! This is the best paranormal romance series I have ever read. Even better than the Shade series by B. Forrest! I read them all since the beginning of the summer till Oct 27 2021

I love Kalugal and Jackie their love was so beautiful to read about Kalugal loves her so much and is will to sacrifice in order to to know his family I can’t wait for more books that will show the growth of his men with Annanis descendants
