Cloudberry Inn #1

Imagining You

Rate this book
Samantha Roberts never expects to hear from her sisters asking her to return home to Cloudberry Inn, especially since her sisters stopped speaking to her several years ago.

She has learned to make a life of her own by throwing herself into her solitary work as a bestselling author. Yet, she secretly hopes returning to Cloudberry Inn will give her the answers she needs.

However, when Garrett Mason shows up at the inn, she wonders if maybe her fictional characters are springing to life. Between his rugged good looks and heart of gold, she can’t help but fall for him.

But as family secrets unravel all around her, she realizes that if she can’t mend her relationship with her sisters, there is no point in attempting anything with the man who’s stolen her heart.

After all, coming home doesn’t mean you’re staying home, and she can’t afford to let herself fall in love with a man she’ll never see again.

Samantha has spent most of her life creating worlds she wished she lived in and maybe now it’s time to make her dreams a reality.

Great start to new series

I fell in love with the Roberts sisters of Cloudberry Inn. One is snarky, one is stoic and the youngest is loving and free. Samantha is the youngest and returns to Cloudberry Inn at the summons of her sisters. When she arrives it’s as though she is not wanted there. Garrett is at Cloudberry to collect payment for work completed. As Garrett and Samantha meet in the parking lot it becomes quite comical. I really enjoyed the opening of this story. It has it all, comedy, tragedy, healing and a HEA. Karice Bolton has a winner with Imagining You.

Samanatha was moved to NYC by mom and her agent many years ago. Mom has passed, Dad went to AZ and 2 sisters have been running the family inn without a break for over a decade. Hoping to heal relationship with sisters Sam comes for a visit with a chilly welcome. She has a ghostly experience. Handsome contractor quickly captures her heart. This story is about healing the relationship between the sisters while falling for home and him. It is a sweet and almost completely clean romance.

This book kind of found me just a time when I could identify a bit with the protagonist. At times it made it hard to pick it up, bc the problems between the sisters, and the death of a parent, hit a little too close to home. However,in time that's precisely what made this the right reading for me. At least on the page I could dream of a happy ending to all the family drama. It was an escape from reality.

Great new series

Sam learned to write novels as a teenager and has done nothing but that since then. Her sisters invite her home Nd they slowly work on their relationship with the help of Garrett. Garrett fell instantly in love with Sam and just wanted her to have a good life.

Love this series. Well written and entertaining. I enjoy a good series and this one does not disappoint at all. I enjoy romance books that don't have a ton of graphic sex scenes. This love story is sweet and well written.

Wonderful read

I always love reading a Karice Bolton book. I've been putting off starting this series but I am glad I finally did.

Samantha and Garrett's story is a sweet, slow burn and an easy read. Looking forward to reading the next one.

What a real book.

I love stories about Gamaliel who are broken and how they work to fix it.
It reminds me that if you want it badly enough, you can find a way.
Sam and Garrett work together to do just that separately and together.
This is another wonderful story in a great series.

Poor writing, and unbelievable character interaction. No drama. Sexy sister waltzes in, saves her sisters, and entraps the local handsome good guy. Happy ever after. Long, overworked, dialog. She had no experience with men but had all these snappy comebacks and flirty moves. Totally unrealistic.

Easy read. Kinda fun story line. But who falls in love so fast. I met the man who would be my husband when we were 13. Dated him on and off for 7 years. It takes time to figure out who people are and go from friends to lovers.

I don't normally read romances but this was one I saved on my Kindle a while ago. It was an easy read with some accurate takes on family dynamics, especially amongst sisters, not remarkable but nice for a couple of hours of easy escapism.

A perfectly fun read!! Lighthearted in most spots with a twist of romance, sisterly angst and even some ghosts. Loved the whole story line! Just enough romance and it was face paced so no dragging. Just purely enjoyed this book!

Captivating story

Love story delightfully told from both sides of the prospective couple. Healing relationships that had broken a family too long. Couldn't put it down until finished.

Loved it!

Samantha and Garrett 's story is different. Small town girl comes back home. No welcome not even from her sisters. But in fiction, times heals all!

Enjoyable series with a hint of mystery. I don't think all the issues have been as resolved as it seemed at the end of this book, but I'm guessing that'll be dealt with in future books in the series.

MANUFACTURED ROMANCE

This contrived love story is completely unrealistic. It’s not how the world works. This book is more fantasy than fiction.

The book was lovely and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It is well written despite some very minor editing. Will look forward to more.
