Reflections of Pearls: A Concise & Comprehensive Collection of Prophetic Invocations & Prayers

Rate this book
God, Most High, Remember me and I will remember you (Qur an 40:60) We feel a sense of belonging, protection, and safety when we call out to Allah. When coupled with the powerful formulae of supplication (du'a) and remembrance (dhikr), this calling leads to a feeling of tranquility within our hearts and minds. With this goal in mind, Muslims scholars have compiled numerous books of supplications and remembrances from the Qur an and Prophetic Sunna. This is the third edition of Reflections of Pearls, a short compilation of Arabic supplications with their English translations and transliterations. Other sections include the etiquettes of supplicating, the 99 names of God, select blessings on the Messenger of God (saw), the virtues and excellences of certain chapters and verses of the Holy Qur an, and the method of performing the Istikhara, Ishraq, and other optional prayers. Both adults and children will enjoy and benefit from reading this book. * Carefully selected du'as for ease of learning * Arabic text set out in clear Arabic script withlucid English translation * Transliteration presented in an easy-to-read form

I have the paperback version that was printed before a hardcover edition was produced. It is an excellent collection of Prophetic supplications and adhkar for various situations and prayers. The typesetting is beautiful, transliteration impeccable and translation eloquent. Most of the supplications/adhkar are short enough that even those of us who struggle with Arabic shouldn't have too much difficulty remembering them. I was reminded recently that I had this and I am saddened that it has been collecting dust on my shelf. I plan to buy the more durable hardcover version whenever I am able.

Nice little handbook, roughly 100 pgs. Like the title says it covers most of the duas you need on a daily basis or for other special occasions

There are many collections of du'as and prayers available and it's kinda difficult to review such books/booklets.
I like this one because it is indeed concise, short and clean. It provides the arabic text, transliteration and translation for each du'a.
There are also a few other interesting bits about prayers and names of Allah
