The One
Seth Reynold learned at a young age that there was nothing more important in this world than family and loyalty.
When his father walked out, leaving him and his little sister with their alcoholic mother, Seth was only eight years old. He had to grow up almost overnight, becoming the only one responsible for his younger sister, Jolie who was then only three.
Seth struggled to take care of his little sister, but refused to betray his mother, afraid he and Jolie would be separated if he did.
But help came in the form of his best friend Jared Walker, and his family. Jared’s mom Sylvie took both Seth and Jolie under her wing. Knowing Seth would never betray his mother, Sylvie made a deal with the young boy that he would always come to her whenever his mother vanished on a drinking binge, which was something that happened often. That way him and Jolie could stay together.
Seth grew up knowing he owed Jared and his family everything, and that included his complete loyalty.
But when Seth returned from a photoshoot, which had taken him to Australia for six months, and met Jared’s new girlfriend, Savannah, the loyalty he had for Jared was put to the test.
Falling in love with Savannah was not part of the plan, but she was what his heart wanted, and Seth struggled between doing the right thing or following his heart.
The fact she loved him too only made him want her more. He knew in his heart that she was The One.
Will loyalty come before love, or can Seth find a way for him and Savannah to get their happy ever after.

Ah, yes. The ancient saying "Bro's before...." well, you know, is put to the test!
Seth and his sister had it rough growing up. A father that walked away. A mother who found solace at the bottom of a bottle. Their saving grace was Jared and his family. Imagine coming home from a 6 month trip to find your best friend settled down with a girl only to have this overwhelming reaction when you first meet her. This reaction should not happen for my best friends girl.
How do I have feelings for his girl?

My heart hammered as I continued to hold her gaze, the longing inside me was unlike anything I had ever felt before.
Savannah knows that Seth is special. But she just keeps feeling a spark with him. If she feels this, then does that mean she should break it off with Jared?
Will Seth and Savannah give into there feelings? Will Seth be willing to give it a try and possibly ruin his friendship with Jared? Will they all get the HEA?

An interesting story that I loved!
I honestly wasn't sure which way this was going to go. I kept reading with trepidation.....waiting for the inevitable to happen and fireworks to explode, not sure I wanted to be there for the backlash. However, Holly C. Webb's writing skill kept me entranced and turning the pages.
The web of love weaved it's way into everyone's lives and although people got hurt along the way, I admired the loyalty and true love shone through from the majority of the characters.
This is my first book from Holly and I absolutely loved it. Highly recommended.

This story gave me all the feels. It was happy, sad, angst and my emotions just bounced everywhere from page one. Seth and Savannah fight their attraction until they just can’t anymore. There was a wonderful set of secondary characters too. The story unfolded beautifully and these two completely deserve a HEA. I’m always anticipating what this author will come up with next. Her books always make you think, have twists you don’t see coming, and they keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. A job well done on another brilliant story!

I was slightly worried when I started this book that I might not like it. I totally should have never worried as Holly has never let me down and she definitely didn't this time either. I absolutely fell I love with all the characters, especially Seth and Savannah and even Jared. Such an amazing story of how fate will sort things out. I definitely recommend you read this story with a beautiful HEA.

When i read a book by Holly Webb i know I'll be sucked in from the start, i know the characters will have huge obstacles to overcome. And boy did The One prove it again!
When Savannah finally meets her boyfriends best friend Seth, these two have instant attraction. They both are trying to deny and fight. These two definitely had a tough choice, one side of the journey full of heartbreak, and heartache. The other letting each other go. Can they find a way to preserve? Can They find their happily ever after? How much pain will be dealt? Oh this story was sooooo good! Once I started I couldn't stop reading!! I loved it!

The author has created a world, which you can't help get glued to, and makes you feel it all.
With a father out of the picture and a drunken mother, Seth and Jolie are 'saved' by Jarod, Seth's best friend, and his family. They grow up together and have each other's back through life.
After a work assignment, Seth's coming home to a few changes. The biggest is Jared's new girl, Savannah.
Can Seth and Savannah just be friends or..?

I’m a first time reader of Ms Webb. The One was a very easy to read romance, the storyline was enjoyable, the characters were wonderful. I loved Jolie to pieces, she was an injection of pure delight. This book showed us what real family and friends are and how unconditional love really is. In all honesty I would of given this book a higher rating but I was felt let down by the editing. When I buy a book I hope that the spelling and grammatical errors have been fixed. If you can overlook that, this book is very enjoyable.

After being taken in by Seths best friend Jareds Mother and made feel part of a Family at long last, Seth and Jolie seem to be finally living the happy life they deserve. But life has a way of sometimes throwing curve balls, and suddenly life is in turmoil for Seth and his best mate. This is a story of love,friendship,heartbreak and betrayals, I loved this book and I loved Seth, Jared and Jolie's story. This was my first book to read by Holly and I throughly enjoyed it and recommend it.

Good read
I thought the story was well written, characters were well defined, and the story had a good flow. I found that the struggling, between Seth and Savannah with their feelings and family was heavier than I bargained for- not a light read, plenty of emotions and pasts to hit you hard. Good read.
