This novel is for you if you are tired of the same old formula, post-apocalyse fiction!Tom Thornton awakens, having no memory of who he is or how he got there. He soon realizes that he is in a dystopian world and sets off on a journey to find out what happened. Along the way, he suffers from various dangers while searching for a woman he saw in a framed portrait in his mountain lodge. Who was she? His wife?Higher in the mountain lived an old man who knew Tom as a friend, and he told Tom that the woman he saw in the portrait was that of his wife, who left him a few days ago to tend to her mother. Tom descended the mountain into a land devasted by an EMP. In the dystopian landscape, Tom falls into a world of treachery. However, nothing could prepare him for what he was about to see.
Started off as a great book. Ended as a book the author had to finish. Very rushed, to much going on with illogical situations. Will start the next book to see....... First read from T.A. Walters. Everyone has a bad day once in awhile!
Amazing story line, I really enjoy apocalyptic stories and this one Is so different and thought-provoking. The author’s story leads you to places you never expected. Very sad, emotional and gripping. A thoroughly enjoyable read, where the characters come to life.
A different apocalypse story to what I expected. Each character has a part to play. Lots of twists and a good plot. No HEA here. A few typo's and grammatical errors but overall a good read.
