Pippa & Kristian
I like the concept of the story, it held my interest until the very end. It has mystery, adventure and a lot of twists. Pippa & Kristian’s journey in looking for Eira albeit short but still suspenseful. Their love story was simple and not cheesy. I also like Pippa she is not overly confident and stubborn. It was an enjoyable read.

A new to me author, I haven’t not read anything by Gwen Knight before but thanks to The Midnight Coven and the Vampire Mates Series i have found a new author to read.
I really enjoyed reading this story, albeit being a novella it’s was full of suspense, drama, action and thrills. I also found it refreshing that it was different to the other authors, so far I have read about a hunter being mated with a vampire but this one was unique with a Vampire being mates to a half Vampire half Human, so thanks for that Gwen Knight.
Waking up on the table in a morgue is not something that anyone should have to experience, but that is exactly what happened to Pippa. Being a bounty hunter Pippa knew there were always risks with her career, but after being shot and killed, what she knew is all about to change. Rushing home to try and figure out what is going on she comes face to face with the man that arranged her death, but he is no human, in fact he is the Vampire Leader and he is looking for Pippa’s mum Eira.
Being given a month to find the woman who gave birth to her, then abandoned her, isn’t going to be easy. Especially after finding evidence that her mother is over a thousand years old... Pippa goes on a journey to find her vampire mum and try to stop the leader from killing her again.

Immortal Devotion by Gwen Knight a five-star read you will be devoted too. This is a stand-alone in the Vampire Mates series, and a first for me by this author, I really hope it won’t be the last. Pippa was one of those characters that you don’t come across often, she just spoke to me, she was a powerful woman who wakes in the weirdest circumstances. Then throw in some chemistry that is off the periodic table and you have a compelling story.

This is a nice addition to the "Vampire Mates" series. All stand alone reads in a shared world written by different authors. It's a very creative vampire story that is a fairly short quick read. It's nicely developed and well written. Love the characters! Kristian and Pippa are great together! Strong characters with great chemistry! You don't get to choose when you find that one person.

Immortal Devotion by Gwen Knight is part of the Vampire Mates series by Midnight Coven, with each book by a different author. This is the first book I have read by this author so I was not sure what to expect but the book description caught my attention so I decided to try it.
This is the story of Pippa and Kristian who both have interesting stories and then when they cross paths and come together things get even more interesting. This is a fast-paced, action, adventure, mystery and fun story with great characters and some very hot and dirty sexy chemistry.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to other readers.

Great read
This series has been interestingly intriguing. The writer brought some really great aspects to the book. This series has been a combination of different writers and styles. But in the end the flow together perfectly!

Pippa's mom abandoned her and her dad years ago. She never knew why she left, only that her dad always called her mom a blood-sucking, ummm, witch. Pippa thought it had something to do with her mom draining their bank account. Yeah...turns out, he meant it for an entirely different reason.
When Pippa wakes up in the morgue after being shot (and killed) by a random stranger (or so she thinks), she freaks out and rushes home to try to figure things out. Unfortunately the person who shot her is waiting for her and he's not...human. He's the vampire leader and he's looking for Pippa's mom. Wait...does that mean her mom's a vampire and Pippa's a half-vampire? How can that be? And why the heck didn't anyone tell her?
Now she's out to find her mom 'cause the head vampire wants her and if Pippa can't find her, he promises to kill Pippa....permanently!
A fun and interesting vampire story. It had heat, heart, danger, smexy-times, engaging characters, and a great storyline. I enjoyed it and recommend it without reservation.

I absolutely loved this book which didn't surprise me as everything that I have read by this author I have loved.
I adored this storyline and as soon as I started reading I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting because I just couldn't stop turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next in this exciting tale filled with betrayal and pain but also of hope and love. It's amazing that you don't know what will happen next!
The characters are brilliant to read about. Pippa was simply amazing to read... I loved her confidence and spirit and seeing her grow throughout the book. Kristian is also brilliant to read about, to imagine all the history he has seen in his long life and i loved how protective he becomes of Pippa as well as the fire and passion between the two of them.
I can't recommend this book highly enough as I adored it and can't wait for more! Definitely worth 5*!! I received this book directly from the author and this review is all my own thoughts.

This journey leads her to the mouth-watering can't take your eyes off Vampire Kristian. Fiery desires ignite between them. They do face a few dangers before reaching their happy ending.
Enthralling well-written fast-paced read. Backstories give insight into the characters. I loved Pippa and Kristian together; their chemistry is blazing hot. Pippa is a force and Kristian though a powerful vampire does have a romantic persona. I found this to be a most entertaining read.

Immortal Devotion by Gwen Knight is a novella in the Vampire Mates series. In this book, Pippa wakes up in the morgue after having been shot in the heart. She recovers but doesn’t understand how she survived or why she was shot until she arrives home and meets the self described Vampire King Caulder. Caulder demands that Pippa find her vampire mother Eira and bring her to him or he says he will kill her. This novella is a very exciting adventure filled tale as Pippa tries to figure out who and what she is and how to survive with Caulder after her. In her search for her mother, she meets an ex- vampire hunter turned vampire named Kristian and the sparks fly. This novella has lots of mystery, suspense, and many unexpected twists and turns plus a really hot romance that made it a wonderful read. I know that any paranormal romance reader will love this tale of vampire love as much as I do.

This is part of the Vampire Mates series but it can be read as a complete standalone because different authors are part of the series. This is the first book I’ve read of this series and I hope it won’t be the last. Pippa is a strong and independent woman but even she has her limits on the weird scale. And she reaches her limit waking up in the morgue. She knows it stems from her absentee mother’s side of the family but how can she find out her heritage when she was abandoned by her mother at a young age? Her journey leads her to Kristian and all of his broodiness. But something happens in between him biting her and her fainting that will change their lives irrevocably. I love how protective Kristian is of Pippa. Will they locate Pippa’s mother and will she help them? I highly recommend this book!

It had been a minute since I had the pleasure of reading this author so long that when I came across this one I slapped my head in remembrance. Back in the day I would search for hers when paranormal was just coming into its own so to speak.
The ones before this look delicious by the others but I jumped into this one. Pippa was a bit like a rebel but she did not realize how much so until something happened to change her direction in life. Kristian is one to capture our attention also they way he is. Then to have to get together as a team well that is something to see about for sure. A graphic way to see the path to how mates go along in life. It also comes with a bit of danger but with love you can go along way.

Pippa is a strong woman I can really get behind. But even this bounty hunting tough girl is weirded out when she wakes up in the morgue after being shot. Who knew you could be half vampire? When she is issued a life or death ultimatum the story really takes off. This novella feels like a much bigger story. Kristian is a growly, moody, brooding hottie, and their chemistry is scorching. An easy to read tale it grabbed heart and imagination and took me along on a fun journey.

This was an interesting story. It was quite good. I wished it hadn’t ended because I loved reading about Pippa and Kristian.
Pippa found out that she is a half vampire rather harshly. She has been tasked to find her vampire mother or become permanently dead. She travels to find her ancestry when she meets Kristian. He is a former Hunter who was turned a thousand years ago. It turns out that she is his mate. Will they be able to find her mother?

Pippa is a bounty hunter who recently found out that she is half vampire. Kristian was once a hunter but is now a vampire. When these two meet sparks fly but love is never that easy is it. I loved how great these two are together and how protective Kristian is over Pippa. The writing is great, the characters are well developed and the story is filled with drama, action, suspense, unexpected twists, steam and a perfect ending. Great addition to the Vampire Mates series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Pippa and Kristian were such great characters. Pippa was half vamp half human. When she was shot and killed and woke up in a morgue, she kind of knew something wasn't right. Then she was given a task to find her dead beat vampire mom, oh the hits kept coming. She found Kristian and everything else fell into place for them. They fought against her mom and the vamp trying to find her. Now they had eternity together.

This is the first book I have read in the Vampire Mates series and I loved it. The love story itself was great, Pippa, finding out she is half vampire meeting Kristian who was basically living under a rock(in a cave) discover they are meant for each other but they have to find Pippa's long ago run away vampire mother. The book is exciting, a few funny spots, but their journey to find her and bring that trial to an end and to make their relationship work will be the death of some. Loved the mystery, the journey they took together, and the ending was fitting for the book.

I found the start to this story so mind boggling it gripped me tight and really didn't let go until I hit the end :) Imagine waking up in the morgue? Thankfully before the autopsy had started, but yeah, creepy. This story takes us on a real adventure and an eye opener on Pippa's family tree. She picks up some much needed vampire culture along the way, and a smoking hot romance. All great fun and I really enjoyed how this one unfolded!

Excellent read
In this well written self-contained story you have a female bounty hunter who is shot and finds herself in the morgue. Only to find out she's not fully human. And the king of the vampires want her to find her mother that she hasn't seen since she was a child. On her search she find someone who might be able to help.
Sometimes love transcends even familiar ties.
Loved this story and I recommend it to read.

Pippa is a professional Bounty Hunter that wakes up in the morgue. Talk about a weird night, especially when she gets home and finds a visitor. He claims she's a vampire and tells her she has to go find her mother. Along the way, she finds an old friend of her mothers, and so much about her family. There are a few twists along the way, and I hope there is a sequel to this as I have a couple of unanswered questions. Really great book!

I loved this so much. It's slightly different than the other stories I've read in this series but makes so much sense. It's the first one I read that indicates someone can be half vampire. This story had some angst, suspense, chemistry, and love. I couldn't put it down! I am enjoying these stories so much!

As soon I started this book I was intrigued and could not put it down. This storyline has great twists. Pippa is strong with passion and confidence. This was a story filled with a bit of suspense, mystery and chemistry.

Pippa has the kind of backbone, dedication, and heart that I wish more heroines were created with. Chapters 10 and 13, my heart broke for her...tears were shed. This was beautiful.

A very quick yet highly entertaining adventure filled with danger, intriguing charters, witty banter and emotionally thrilling passion.... an exciting read that was impossible to put down. Really enjoyed this journey!

This was a little slow to get into but when it took off I didn't want to stop. The whole story is suspense because Pippa is looking for her mom. It also has romance with Kristian whom she finds on her search. I volunteered to read an advanced copy of this book.
