A life full of violence and pain Keana is forced to take drastic measures after the son of her alpha hurts her in the worst possible way. Will she get her revenge on the man who claimed to be her mate? and finally, get the answers to the questions that have plagued her throughout her entire existence?
Unleashed is the prequel to an upcoming rejected mates series and will be a Reverse Harem Romance with a HEA. This story does come with a trigger warning with scenes including rape, violence, bullying, rejection, and suicide. You've been warned.
Unleashed is the prequel story to a new Rejected Mates series. Please note the trigger warnings.
For a short story, this packs a punch. Keana's life up to this point, and the reason for the choices she makes are clearly portrayed, and you feel a lot of sympathy for her decisions.
We've got shifters, demons and angels, which is an unusual mix, and feels fresh and interesting, especially the way the characters are positioned.
As a prequel, there is of course a cliffhanger leading into the first full book, and I can't wait to read it!
Can not wait to get book one. Keana was abused her whole life because she was different. When the alpha's son ask her out she thinks things are changing for her until he rapes her. Done with all the abuse she kills herself. She then becomes a demon Guardian to the guy that raped her. Plus she finds out that her mother was killed because she fall in love with an angel. Her dad was tortured for 5 years and had to watch all the abuse Keana went through and was not allowed to help her. Now she is going to her revenge.
Demons, angels, shifters - oh my! It's such a unique twist on this storyline. I was immediately taken in and wondering what was going to happen next. The MC had me do invested in her emotional well-being because of all that she had been through and what happened to her. The cursed, unjust life she lead made me want to cheer on her revenge from the sidelines. I can't wait for the main book
There is nothing like being bullied, attacked and no one to help or care! Deciding the only way for a horrible life to end is to end it yourself! Well Keana can’t even do that right or can she. Revenge is a sweet thing!!!!
“I know you said to just reject her and be done with it but I had to take what was mine”
I was so angry and on edge the whole time to be left with a cliffhanger…Beth Hendrix is a queen at leaving you hanging but wanting more.
From the first page, these authors make you feel every horrible thing that happened to Keanna. From rape, suicide, abuse, and rejection. This rejected mates prequel will definitely hit you in the feels. While not your typical rejection story I loved the twist and the not knowing as to what comes next.
Preordered the next book before I had even finished highly recommended this and any book by Alexis and Beth. Together or alone these women are incredible writers
Omg this story is twisted and amazing. There are triggers but they didnt bother me. Keana's story is twisted, brutal, harsh, and very tragic. If you went through half of what she does you would probably make the same choices even to get revenge. The details are very vivid and it makes you feel like it's happening to you. I totally recommend this book.
This book was short, but most definitely left it’s mark. Keana deserves justice and I can’t wait for Gregory to reap what he sowed. Suffering all her life Gregory only added salt to her wounds. Given the choices she was, I think I’d make the same choice. I can’t wait to see if Gregory suffers....please let him suffer.
Wow! I was not expecting how this story started. It went from 0-100 in 3 pages. I love prequels. Getting that little glimpse into how it all came together is super awesome. It helps me look at the main book through a different light and things that seem a little foggy become crystal clear. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Wow! This went 0 to 60 real quick! This may be a short prequel but it sticks with you and leaves you wanting to read the rest of the story! I need to feel her revenge and see what happens! I love to know the backstories of what I read, or what makes the characters who they are. I absolutely can’t wait to read what comes next!
Totally enjoyed this!! Beth and Alexis never leave you feeling like you wasted your time on one of their stories. I really enjoyed this book and it makes me wait of bated breath for what's next for these characters.
I enjoyed this prequel and look forward to the 1st book. I can't wait to see how the authors grow the characters and storyline. Especially Keana. Poor girl has been through hell. Next year is a long wait but I think it will be worth it to see what the future holds for Keana and her new life.
Talk about women empowerment. This book will rip your heart out, but it will also stitch it back together and forge it with steel! Excited to see how the rest of this plays out!
Alexis Taylor & Beth Hendrix you've done it again. Another book I could not put down. It was brilliant.. and what a way to leave us dangling. I can't wait for the next one. I went through every emotion... Will Keana get the payback she wants and needs.
A quick read, a get your toe wet prequel, but the hook is set. I'm definitely looking forward to the release of book one in this series! I'm excited to see where they take it. Too short of a story to go higher then a 3 🌟's.
This book starts strong and stays that way through the end. It hooks you and reels you in. It is a prequel so it has a cliffhanger that leaves you needing the next part!
Wow very compare compelling read hooks to every word
This was an extremely compelling read I was hooked to every word. Beware the trigger warning that said this is right up my alley I really like that this book went there fully and didn't shy away from tough subject matters and I think it handled it very well. I feel like it was super unique I didn't know where the star was going to take us I didn't know she was going to do what she did and then have what happened with her choices and doing it I did wonder like should should be wary of and doing it I did wonder like should should be wary of them I was on the edge of my seat. And I was so sad when it ended because I want more it's so good. This is the start of an amazing book I know it's an anthology but I would love for this to be like a full-blown Series this is so great. I already really enjoy the female main character and her background and what she went through and what's going to happen is so interesting and very unique. I found this to be a very unique story. I was surprised how into it I was already sometimes it takes a little bit to get into a book but from the first moment it really had me hooked it's really well written the pace is perfect end things keep happening and you get answers yet you don't feel like it's too much thrown at you at once it's the perfect amount. I thoroughly enjoyed this prequel even though I really want more it's got me really excited for more. I can't tell you just how great it was the story it's so interesting and I really want to see how it progresses especially with where we left off. I really am intrigued by this world and how it works and her role and what's going to happen next I'm trying not to give way too many spoilers I like to going into it not knowing too much. Again there are trigger warnings but I really feel like the way they handled it was well done and I really like that they did not shy away from it because a lot of people do but it's a necessary to the story it propels the story and you could feel for her but also feels her Fire With in. I'm just really impressed that they fully went there because the story definitely calls for it and I really think this is a great story so far I am really excited for more so as long as you're okay with the trigger warning seriously read this and you will be just as excited as I am plus it is a very enjoyable keeps you interested quick read. I can't wait for more it seems like a very interesting World in concept and I can't wait for more of this character and this world I hope it's a lot :)
I love a good rejected mates storyline. This one was very well done, couldn’t wait to read more. I actually went looking for the rest of the story. I don’t usually like novellas but I love BBB publishing books quite a lot so far. These are great and I can’t wait to read more.
